When the mayor of Washington, D.C., announced changes to the city’s mask mandate last week, spit hit the fan. As of March 1, District residents will need to cover up in order to attend school, go to a library, or ride in a taxi. But gyms, sports arenas, concert venues, and houses of worship—you know, all the places where people like to breathe hard or sing and shout in close proximity—will be facial free-for-alls.
If the goal of mask policies is to reduce transmission of the coronavirus as much as possible, then D.C.’s new rules are difficult to reason out. Why should children, who are generally at low risk of severe disease, have to mask while sitting quietly in class when their more vulnerable elders can sing, unmasked, in church? It seems arbitrary, inconsistent, absurd.....
“From my perspective, the main benefit is not so much the masking itself, but the message to society that this wave is not yet over,” Dowdy told me.....
“I think that people have this expectation that everything has to be perfect, as far as how the logic works together,” Kirk Sell said. But no mandate is ever going to be perfectly consistent, and that’s okay. Mask policies can still make sense, so long as they serve a community’s shared goals.

Science is what our feeeelings say it is.
And by that, they mean "We need to continue our 'temporary' and 'emergency' powers."
This is just silly and insulting people. They might as well say "You can only buy meat on odd numbered days." Then a few weeks later say "Now you can only buy meat on even numbered days." Neither one reduces the amount of meat consumption. Similarly mask mandates, particularly arbitrary partial mandates like these, do nothing to slow or contain transmission.
These mandates are all about continuing to exert power and control, nothing else. I will be you good money certain "leaders" are literally sitting around asking each other (and their staffs) "What can we have them do, or not do, next?" It is all about power.

Do you really think people are going to stop dying? God is in control of who dies and who lives; not a mask. Those that might not die do to covid or flu will die from something else. We are not God and in control of life.
Living with a mask on is not living life to the fullest. This is to be the country “ the land of the free and brave” because we trust in God and realize He is in control. The state of our thoughts show that we have kicked God out of our thoughts.

Watching college basketball. Players on the court and on the bench don’t wear masks. Fans have to, although many have it below their nose. No science or logic in that collegiate rule.
