They will stop at nothing…Local reporters discovered that a tea party robocall was linked to Democrat candidate Steve Pougnet in California. My Desert reported: Democratic congressional candidate Steve Pougnet unleashed an automated phone call to voters Friday that attempts to split the conservative vote by touting a third-party candidate. The call hit the same day as voters received a Pougnet mailer that says American Independent candidate Bill Lussenheide makes Republican U.S. Rep. Mary Bono Mack “look like a raging liberal.” The Pougnet effort is aimed at nudging Republicans to consider Lussenheide as the “tea party” alternative to Bono Mack. According...

Could the humble tea bag slingshot the Republican Party into the 21st century? The week's biggest news frenzy, beating out Somali pirates and Bo, the first family's new hypoallergenic ball of fur, came courtesy of the modern-day tea party tax protest. It's probably the most exciting thing to happen on April 15 since the Titanic sank back in 1912. And we here at the Insider were grateful for something to distract us from the prospect of last-minute tax filing. In San Mateo, a tea party to protest rising federal spending was held on a thin strip of sidewalk in front...

100-200 in front of IRS at 55 Market. Signs, flags, kids, families & cameras. Group of anti-protesters but didn't look like ACORN (not very professional). Their signs said "racists." Will be another tea party with radio station down the street at Ceasar Chavez Plaza at 5pm-7pm. I passed out flyers listing congressional actions threatening Liberty. None were thrown away. No problems, no litter. Bored cops (on overtime probably). Talked to lot of people. Exchanged information.

EUREKA CA - Apr 15th 2009: By Old Glory Radio - A crowd of between 1,200 and 1,500 gathered today on the steps of the county courthouse in Eureka Ca., (approx 300 miles north of San Francisco), and they were not happy. Eureka is a town of only about 28,000 and the fact that they could gather this type of a crowd on a work day is amazing. This was entirely grass roots, no presence from the local Rep party or any public officials. - LINK TO VIDEO AND PICTURES -

Size Of San Francisco Tea Party Protest Shows Obama's In Hot Water April 15, 2009 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNews.org - Despite a concerted effort by the MSM to ignore and or belittle the burgeoning conservative Tea Party movement, on this bright April tax day at least 1,200 citizens showed up in the belly of the beast, San Francisco, to protest the Obama administration. Led by a citizen coalition including KSFO firebrand talker Melanie Morgan, the group assembled in front of Civic Center and then marched on Speaker Pelosi's office at 450 Golden Gate Avenue. In dramatic contrast...

We went into the heart of darkness and came out ok. Started out at Civic Center Park. Then marched to the Federal Building for a rally and then to the steps of City Hall. SFPD Captain said we were about 250-350, not bad considering it was a work day. Nothing too exciting only about 10 counterprotestors. Maybe there was more but many got scared off seeing the size of the Tea Party crowd. News coverage ok. Here's some photos ____________________________ Above is an interesting little San Francisco scene. These anarchist Black Bloc'ers came to disrupt the protest. When the march...

We had a crowd of at least 300 at Alameda Park in Santa Barbara at our Tax Day Tea Party. We featured Classic Rock Protest Music and had spontaneous remarks from various folks in attendance. There was no media there initially but we got so large the media started showing up. We rallied, then marched to the IRS office and engaged in original rants. We then took our march down State Street where we were greeted in a universally positive manner from the folks on the street and those driving by. Lots of honking and thumbs up. The Silent Majority...

About 7,500 people showed up at the Tea Party at Save Mart Center, one of thousands held around the country on tax day. Fresno was just one of thousands of cities to host a tea party on Wednesday and was also one of the largest events in the county. The event is based on the pre-revolutionary war protests in Boston, where Americans took a stance against excessive government taxation. The people at the tea party in Fresno say they don't care if you're a Republican or a Democrat. They say everyone, from every background or social standing should be upset...

I came out early to see todays Tea Party in Bakersfield. It had a huge turnout. Hundreds at least with 5 lefties who wondered on in and then went to the fringe. (It got to crowded in the main square to move around by about 4:00 PM!). Congressman Kevin McCarthy came by along with local radio show host Jazz McKay. It got so packed I never even saw the two of them! I stayed pretty busy taking pictures so I have a sample of such below with running commentary.

This certainly wasn't the biggest event today - maybe about 100 people It didn't have any celebrities and it didn't have any speakers. It was just a bunch of Americans, young and old, standing on the sidewalk during rush hours, protesting the ruination of their country. Others drove by waving flags and honking horns. - A scene probably played out in countless communities throughout the United States today. But this is how the revolution will be won. City by city. Town by town. Neighborhood by neighborhood.

Thousands protest taxes, Obama By Dan Smith Apr. 15, 2009 In what the California Highway Patrol said was a large but peaceful crowd, more than 5,000 people came to the state Capitol today to protest higher taxes in California and the Obama administration's national policies. Speakers, including Fox News' Neil Cavuto, talk radio personality Michael Reagan and U.S. Rep. Tom McClintock, R-Elk Grove, rallied the vocal crowd through and beyond the lunch hour. Many carried "No on 1A" signs, protesting the ballot measure on the May 19 special election that would create a state spending restrictions and extend state tax...
