The United States on Thursday told its European allies, particularly Germany and France, to "immediately" release their strategic reserves of diesel to help lower the soaring price of the refined fuel. It comes a day after President Donald Trump floated the possibility of banning US diesel exports to stem the rise in prices. At an emergency meeting of the European Union's energy task force on Friday, an EU spokesperson said the bloc "fully rejects" the ban threat, saying it would "undermine ... trust in the US." Average US diesel prices have surged over 70% to $6.39 per US gallon (€1.50...

A photograph of Pope Leo XIV blessing Marie-Garance, a 10-year-old girl in a blue dress who has multiple disabilities, went viral after the pope encountered her in Paris Sept. 26. A police officer lifted the girl into his arms as the pope passed in the popemobile along the Champs-Elysees before Mass at Place de la Concorde. Agence France Press photographer Ludovic Marin captured the moment the pope leaned toward Marie-Garance, took her hand and met her eyes. Her adoptive mother, Clotilde Noël, told OSV News the blessing represented vulnerable people who are often set aside because they are different. Following...

Sunny Hostin, co-host of ABC's "The View," boasted that she "was the holdout juror in the 1991 trial of Daniel Rakowitz, the Butcher of Tompkins Square Park. The other eleven jurors wanted to convict him. He killed Monika Beerle, cut her up into pieces, made a soup that he ate and also fed to the homeless. I convinced the rest of the jury that his act of charity toward the homeless showed he wasn't really a bad person. We all then agreed that he should be found not guilty by reason of insanity." The problem with Hostin's boast is that...

I play senior softball and an individual who played on one of the teams in our league has joined our every day pick-up ball group. He is totally deaf but I believe he can read lips. It's hard for everyone to understand what he is communicating to us so he tries to make it simple and rudimentary. So, I've decided to try to learn ASL in an attempt to be able to converse with him on a level he can understand. I would appreciate any advice from anyone who has experience in ASL in dealing with anyone they know is deaf.

At National Right to Life News Today, we post article after article, story after story about the invidious “abortion pill,” alternatively labeled “chemical abortion,” or the preferred [to the Abortion Industry] “medication abortion.” Whatever it’s called, it is lethal to the developing unborn child and incredibly painful to the mother, even deadly. Naturally, Planned Parenthood stands at the front of the line, proudly announcing this “service” to abortion-prone women. I remember once writing about how I’d run across a tribute–although tribute is understating the gratitude–to Planned Parenthood: ”Biggest thank you ever to Planned Parenthood–my abortion.” The young woman tells us...

President Donald Trump warned on Thursday that Iran would face a “very hard” response if investigators determine that Tehran was behind the apparent attempt to crash an Israel-bound flydubai flight. Asked by a reporter at the White House whether he had been briefed on possible Iranian links to the Omani co-pilot who stabbed the captain of Flight FZ1073, Trump said, “I would say the answer, based on what I’m hearing, is yes, but we’re working on it right now.”

A senior Emirati official on Friday described the attack aboard flydubai Flight FZ1073 as a “dangerous terrorist act” that could have ended in catastrophe. Dr. Anwar Gargash, diplomatic adviser to United Arab Emirates President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, made the comments in a post on X, marking the first public characterization of the incident as terrorism by a senior Emirati official. “The Indian flydubai pilot Smit Machchhar deserves every appreciation,” Gargash wrote. “In confronting a dangerous terrorist act and a potential catastrophe, he embodied the meaning of courage and responsibility. His professionalism and moral sense in the darkest...

When asked about the racial dynamics of the incident, Conley confirmed that the eight suspects are Black and the victim is white, but noted investigators have uncovered no evidence pointing to a hate crime.

Republicans are moving up to $10 million from North Carolina’s Senate race and putting it toward shoring up deep-red Kansas, The Post has learned, while the main Trump-backing super PAC and the official Senate GOP campaign arm are done spending in the Tar Heel State. The Senate Leadership Fund, aligned with Majority Leader John Thune (R-SD), initially set aside $71 million to elevate North Carolina GOP nominee Michael Whatley — but is now cutting its losses after shelling out just $30 million, according to sources familiar with the super PAC’s thinking. One of those sources suggested that at least $8.2...

The old joke that “whoever said marriage is a 50-50 proposition didn’t know the half of it,” takes on a whole new meaning in a culture flirting with “polyamory.”... Most important in the drive to normalize polyamory is the Supreme Court’s 2015 Obergefell decision. By legalizing same-sex “marriage” nationwide, the male/female distinction was treated as irrelevant for marriage, which opened the door to additional relational arrangements. In his dissent, Chief Justice John Roberts even questioned whether the arguments for same-sex marriage would justify “people who find fulfillment in polyamorous relationships.” The answer is unfortunately “yes.”

What once was the peak, is now just the beginning. Paramount and Warner Bros. shaped over a century of culture. By combining them, we aren't rewriting history — we're equipping these iconic studios with a more powerful engine. Together, we are Skydance: a creative-first home for bold, quality storytelling. We chose this name for a few important reasons. First and foremost, as we bring Paramount and Warner Bros. together, we wanted to preserve what has made each of these studios iconic. Both have distinct identities, extraordinary legacies and brands that have resonated with audiences for generations. We never wanted a...

As Reporter Lewis Denison explains, pubs and retailers will be able to accept digital ID as proof of age to buy alcohol under new rules. The move aims to provide an alternative to carrying a physical ID so punters can use their phones to prove their age at the pub, festivals and concerts. The changes to the licensing act that come into force on Tuesday apply to businesses in England and Wales and the government expects it to take some time for the technology to be widely adopted. The ID will be available through third-party apps such as Yoti, which...

I want to do cultural revolution shit." —Hasan Piker, DSA Spox Translation: Chuck Schumer knows that the Democrats have already been thwarted from rigging the election, from flooding the polls with illegal immigrant voters, with dead voters, with voters who moved out of state but still got mail-in ballots sent to their old addresses, with voters registered as living in Walmart parking lots, and so on. Chuck Schumer knows that the Civil Rights Division of DOJ is sending hundreds of...
