Sunny Hostin, co-host of ABC's "The View," boasted that she "was the holdout juror in the 1991 trial of Daniel Rakowitz, the Butcher of Tompkins Square Park. The other eleven jurors wanted to convict him. He killed Monika Beerle, cut her up into pieces, made a soup that he ate and also fed to the homeless. I convinced the rest of the jury that his act of charity toward the homeless showed he wasn't really a bad person. We all then agreed that he should be found not guilty by reason of insanity."
The problem with Hostin's boast is that 35 years ago members of the jury said the holdout juror was an unemployed man who wanted to prolong the deliberations because he needed the $15 dollars a day and free meals provided for citizens on jury duty. Apprised of this information, Hostin repeated her claim to be the lone holdout juror. This caused several of her co-hosts to wonder if she is mentally deranged.
Whoopi Goldberg mused "what kind of a person would brag about helping a cannibal escape a harsh sentence for a gruesome crime? I wonder if Sunny might be laying the groundwork for her own future insanity plea after she assassinates Trump. Trump is on record calling all of us on 'The View' crazy. I don't think it would be hard for Sunny, or any of us on 'The View,' to persuade the right judge or jury that Trump is the one who drove us crazy. That's why whichever one of us kills him should do the deed in Massachusetts."

I was on a criminal jury in an armed robber case.
We had a holdout juror.
We were 11-1 “not guilty”.
One of the accused alibi witnesses was black.
The holdout’s position was “Look, he runs with ni**ers. If he’s not guilty of this, he’s guilty of something else”.
