A senior Emirati official on Friday described the attack aboard flydubai Flight FZ1073 as a “dangerous terrorist act” that could have ended in catastrophe.
Dr. Anwar Gargash, diplomatic adviser to United Arab Emirates President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, made the comments in a post on X, marking the first public characterization of the incident as terrorism by a senior Emirati official.
“The Indian flydubai pilot Smit Machchhar deserves every appreciation,” Gargash wrote. “In confronting a dangerous terrorist act and a potential catastrophe, he embodied the meaning of courage and responsibility. His professionalism and moral sense in the darkest circumstances make him a true hero.”
Machchhar was seriously wounded when his Omani co-pilot allegedly attacked him during Wednesday’s flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv. Despite his injuries, the captain managed to open the cockpit door, allowing passengers and crew members to intervene and subdue the co-pilot.
The Boeing 737 MAX 8, carrying 174 passengers and eight crew members, subsequently landed safely at Tabuk Airport in Saudi Arabia.

He’s right!
God bless the heroic pilot, and the heroic passengers and crew who subdued the terrorist!
There are those on the Muslim loving Left that are saying the Fly Dubai attack was a hoax.
Fortunately flight trackers disproves them too. Still, they won’t stop spreading BS knowingly lying.
What matters is what does CNN calls it......
