The neoconservative pundit Mark Levin posted on X on Thursday, “Here’s a novel idea: stop bullying our ally and cozying up to our enemy.” Megyn Kelly, the influential conservative podcaster, replied, “To which politician could he be talking? I guess we’ll just have to wonder.” Kelly was being tongue-in-cheek. There was no wondering. Levin was talking about J.D. Vance. He just didn’t want to name names. The vice president rocked Washington last Thursday—and infuriated neoconservatives—when he defended the Trump administration’s memorandum of understanding (MOU) deal with Iran at a press briefing. “This does bother me,” Vance said. “You've seen people...

Shabana Mahmood's Ukrainian-style refugee sponsorship scheme will open the door to thousands of new migrants, the Tories have claimed. The Home Secretary is pressing forward with plans to provide "safe and legal routes" for refugees fleeing conflict zones to enter Britain. The scheme will be modelled on Canada's community sponsorship scheme, which allows people to sponsor refugees privately by committing to at least 12 months of financial and emotional support, and the UK's Homes for Ukraine programme, introduced following Russia's invasion in 2022. There will be a strict annual cap on numbers but the target is not yet known. Those...

When American and Israeli warplanes struck Iran on Feb. 28, Israeli officials let themselves believe the alliance was entering a golden age. Four months later, they are bracing for a future where Israel stands more alone than ever. The vice president of the United States set the stage last week, telling Israel it has almost no friends left in the world, and that it should think hard before turning on the one it has. But the problem for Israel is much bigger than JD Vance, according to seven people, including U.S. and Israeli officials and others familiar with the relationship....

Given this wealth, on top of more mosques and bigger mosques, along with schools, seminaries, and activist organizations, what is next for Texas Islamism? Tom Facchine gave his talk at a Houston mosque, the River Oaks Islamic Center, at an event co-organized with the Texas branch of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), on the subject of “From Wealth to Power: The Case for Muslim Coordination.” ...while martyrdom, sacrifice and “blood” may be necessary, Muslim rights must be aggressively asserted. Pointing out that “Muslims need to take full advantage of our Second Amendment rights,” Facchine urged the establishment of Islamic...

District Clerk April Keys allegedly tore up ballots and helped smuggle them out of her office to help board president Victor Pratt win his reelection campaign for the Hempstead Union Free School District on Long Island. She also allegedly gave Pratt, a local DJ, absentee ballots to get rid of, a district petition filed to the Education Department said, according to the New York Post.

British banks are seeking closer ties with the European Union, according to a report, opens new tab published by industry lobbying body UK Finance on Monday, ahead of a summit between Prime Minister Keir Starmer and officials from the bloc scheduled for July and aimed at "resetting" ties between the two. The report said banks were not seeking to undo Brexit or "reverse convergence into the EU Single Market," but instead to formalise aspects of the Memorandum of Understanding on Financial Services Cooperation between Britain and Europe signed in 2023. The report marks one of the most assertive declarations yet...

The Home Office has vowed to introduce new "capped safe and legal" routes for refugees to come to the UK from later this year. The department said it would allow organisations like universities, community groups and businesses to sponsor refugees who applied to come to the UK, a model based on Canada's asylum system. The government also said it would press ahead with changes to how human rights and modern slavery laws are applied to asylum applications to root out what it described as "vexatious" claims. The Conservatives said no extra people should be let into the country until illegal...

The loud radicals are easy to identify. They openly criticize capitalism. Whether one agrees with them or not, at least they are honest about what they espouse. The greater danger comes from what I call the Trojan Horse Politicians. These are the polished, camera-ready public officials who rarely describe themselves as radicals. They speak instead of “fairness,” “equity,” “compassion,” “democracy,” and “reimagining” institutions to reassure you that they’re not radical. Their rhetoric is designed to be reassuring. Their tone and presentation is carefully crafted to appear moderate and pragmatic, even when a student of history knows differently.

It may be asked, then, how the ten commandments can be called "the covenant." We answer, That is just where the people are misled. They are never called "the" covenant, referring to the first or old covenant. That the ten commandments are called "a" covenant, we admit; but what kind of a covenant? and in what sense are they so called? Ex. 19:5: "Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant", etc. Then God had something which he called his covenant, which antedated the covenant made with Israel. It was already in existence, before any...

This is a short excerpt on Free Republic's entry in Grokipedia. It far outclasses Wikipedia's perverted, overly long entry. Read the whole entry at the link. I did. And I approve. "Free Republic is a moderated online forum and discussion platform founded in 1996 by Jim Robinson, a private citizen and computer programmer from Fresno, California, serving as a gathering place for self-identified conservatives to post links to news articles and participate in commentary ..."

Chinese cars are increasingly driving a wedge between the US, Mexico and Canada ahead of a July 1 deadline to renew North America’s faltering free-trade pact, deepening a rift already torn open by Donald Trump’s tariffs. The US is the only major market Chinese cars have yet to conquer — but it remains firmly off-limits. Washington has in effect banned them to combat suspected surveillance technology amid fears the vehicles, heavily subsidised by Beijing, would kill off America’s domestic auto industry. By contrast, Mexico’s love affair with cheap Chinese cars has made it Beijing’s top car export destination and Canada...

In 1995, remarkable contents of a 17th-century shipwreck began to be discovered by divers of the South West Maritime Archaeological Group off Salcombe Bay. The finds consist of over 400 gold coins of the Sa'dian Sharifs of Morocco in addition to ingots, jewellery as well as other items including Dutch pewter and pottery subsequently acquired by the British Museum. Although the ship has not survived, the divers discovered remnants of wood, rope and lead that were parts of its infrastructure. The finds from this shipwreck are significant for several reasons: the gold is clearly a bullion hoard and the number...

Recently discovered Cardinal Fernández essay reveals his belief that all are savedA 1995 paper written by the future Prefect of the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith appears to endorse the universalist view of salvation that has been condemned by the Church. The future Cardinal Víctor Manuel Fernández blatantly endorsed universalism, or the idea that all are saved, in a recently uncovered paper written more than 30 years ago.In a 46-page 1995 essay titled “Romanos 9-11: gracia y predestinación” (Grace and Predestination) first reported by El Wanderer, the future Prefect of the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith...

The U.S. military has now confirmed the acceptance of at least six F-35 Joint Strike Fighters for the U.S. Marine Corps without radars. This is due to issues tied to the development of the new AN/APG-85 radar, the first production lot of which is scheduled to be delivered in 2028. The prospect of radarless F-35s had first emerged publicly back in February. The AN/APG-85 is a critical component of the larger Block 4 upgrade package for all variants of the F-35, an effort that has been mired in cost growth and delays. Marine Corps Lt. Gen. Gregory Masiello, head of...

n July 1, 2026, a new anti-liberty/gun law goes into effect in California. Its primary feature is a ban on all new Glock handguns and a variety of other similar, striker-fired handguns. Why would California ban the most popular handgun in America? Because of “Glock Switches.” Graphic: Glock switch. ATF. Public Domain. These are small, aftermarket accessories, apparently mostly made in China and illegally smuggled into the country. The Chinese don't have America's best interests at heart, but neither does California. They replace the small panel at the rear of some Glock slides—they don’t fit every Glock model—that allows fully automatic...

(Translated by Google) Elar Bolaños submitted his resignation on June 23 claiming that his computer systems were altered with information that he did not generate. The institution did not admit the letter, separated him from office and initiated an investigation demanding evidence of his allegations. The National Office of Electoral Processes (ONPE) concluded the appointment of Elar Bolaños Llanos as secretary general, a position he held since September 2, 2020. The measure was officialized by the Chief Resolution N. ° 100-2026-JN/ONPE, issued June 23. However, it is now known that the decision was made after the resignation letter that the...

Over the years, I’ve had many different social media conversations with people who are leftists. Not political conversations (I avoid open social media discussion of politics with leftists), but rather many other topics. I have found a common pattern; they seem to have a remarkable lack of self-esteem, because they often seek only sympathy or praise, and they share an insatiable desire to be miserable. There is no desire to have a conversation or intellectual debate. Although there are many examples, I will limit myself to three (chronologically widely spaced) in this article. I should preface this with some background;...

During a recent podcast appearance with a host from MSNOW, California Governor Gavin Newsom criticized conservative media outlets. Newsom suggests that the right has an entire system of media that creates narratives and carries talking points for Republicans. He then claims that liberals have nothing like that. This is laugh-out-loud ridiculous. Liberals have the entire media, with the possible exception of FOX News, which Newsom uses repeatedly to make his asinine point. Outlets like CNN, MSNOW, the traditional networks, and all of the major newspapers frame the news in ways that try to give the Democrats an advantage every single...
