Until the time that Barack Obama took office, I had a reasonable amount of faith in the U.S. federal government. I knew that those on the Left in positions of leadership, as well as some on the Right, often concocted narratives for their own ends. The mainstream media decidedly leaned Left, and shaded every story, feature, event, and happening in the U.S. and around the world to their own point of view. Still, it was easy enough to get past what they were claiming. Maybe Some Good Could Result With the ascension of Barack Obama and his subsequent election as...

More than 300 ostriches were shot dead by a firing squad in Canada late Thursday — ending a months-long standoff that drew in US Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and New York billionaire John Catsimatidis, who had begged officials to spare the birds. The mass killing unfolded at Universal Ostrich Farms in Edgewood, British Columbia, hours after the Supreme Court of Canada refused to block a federal order to cull the flock following an avian flu outbreak, CBC reported. Canada apparently snubbed its neighbor to the south by refusing to spare the 330 giant birds to be used for...

Mamdani, 34, became the youngest mayor in city history Tuesday after a campaign centered on affordability and fueled by savvy social media outreach that energized younger voters. The 245 resignations in October represent a 35 percent increase compared to the 181 officers who left during the same month last year, according to Police Pension Fund data. In response, the NYPD told Daily Mail 'We are laser-focused on addressing our recruitment efforts and bringing...

The BBC will apologise for the misleading editing of a Donald Trump speech in a Panorama documentary, the Telegraph can disclose. Samir Shah, the BBC’s chairman, will write to the culture, media and sport committee on Monday to express regret for the way the speech, made on the day of the Jan 6 2021 Capitol riot, was spliced together. The apology will heap further pressure on Tim Davie, the BBC’s director general, to quit over an 8,000-word dossier compiled by a whistleblower that alleged widespread bias within the corporation. The Telegraph has previously disclosed that both Mr Davie and Mr...

Story at a Glance: • Alzheimer’s disease is commonly thought to result from abnormal plaque buildup in the brain that gradually destroys brain tissue. •Almost all Alzheimer’s research for decades has been directed toward eliminating amyloid, even after the basis for much of this work was shown to stem from fraudulent research. •The billions spent on amyloid Alzheimer’s research have only produced three drugs, all of which offer minuscule benefits and severe side effects. •In contrast, affordable and straightforward treatments that reduce dementia or the preceding cognitive impairment have been maligned and buried by the medical industry. •DMSO for example,...

By Dr. John BergsmaThis year we have a special treat in the month of November, in that the Feast of the Lateran Basilica, the Cathedral of the City of Rome and Mother Church of Christianity, falls on a Sunday. Usually only week-day mass goers get exposed to this wonderful feast and its Lectionary readings. The Feast of St. John Lateran is unusual in the Church’s calendar, because it is a feast for a building rather than a saint or an event in salvation history. The Lateran Basilica—dedicated to Christ the Savior in honor of both John the Baptist and John...

For most Americans, a U.S. lawmaker with onerous student loan debt pushing for debt forgiveness would be viewed as a conflict of interest. For at least one U.S. representative, it’s apparently a non-issue — and the American Accountability Foundation is livid about it. According to the Daily Wire, Democratic Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar has been accused by the watchdog group over a number of issues. In a scathing letter sent to House Speaker Mike Johnson, American Accountability Foundation President Thomas Jones outed Omar’s dubious finances — and “bully” reputation. “We are writing today to share serious concerns about abuse of...

Conservative media pundits Ben Shapiro and Megyn Kelly sparred this week over an interview Tucker Carlson conducted with white nationalist Nick Fuentes — and other commentary Carlson has made on his online podcast. “If I see somebody breach basic moral values by having on a Nazi, in my own view, gloss the Nazi, then I’m going to speak out about that,” Shapiro told Kelly during a live event. “I’m going to point out that there is a long pattern of him ideologically laundering terrible ideas over the course of the last two years, ranging from traveling to Russia to sniff...

FROM ONE MEAN MOM We had the meanest mother in the whole world! While other kids ate candy for breakfast, we had to have cereal, eggs, and toast. When others had a Pepsi and a Twinkie for lunch, we had to eat sandwiches. And you can guess our mother fixed us a dinner that was different from what other kids had, too. Mother insisted on knowing where we were at all times. You'd think we were convicts in a prison. She had to know who our friends were, and what we were doing with them. She insisted that if...

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is rapidly transforming the economy, boosting productivity while simultaneously threatening widespread job displacement. As AI progresses, a growing number of workers face unemployment or precarious employment, fueling political pressure for Universal Basic Income (UBI)—typically understood as unconditional payments aiming to guarantee a basic standard of living. However, behind this policy response lies a fundamental truth: income provided by UBI is redistributed wealth, funded predominantly by taxing others. Taken to its fullest extent, this scenario envisions UBI becoming the total income for many individuals, fundamentally transforming the economy’s reliance from earned wages toward government transfers. Traditional UBI proponents...

MI5 believed a hardcore of around 750 teachers was attempting to spread communist propaganda in British schools in the wake of the second world war, documents released today show. A secret MI5 memo written in August 1949, released by the National Archives at Kew, west London, charts apparent efforts to recruit teachers and infiltrate the leadership of the National Union of Teachers. The document, which traces a Soviet-backed drive to free worldwide education from capitalist "enslavement" back to 1920, also reports attempts to penetrate teaching in British colonies in the early post-war period. The report was written against a backdrop...

Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) has launched an investigation into a Portland anti-ICE activist who was captured on viral video disrupting US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operations in a North Portland neighborhood, where agents were making targeted arrests of illegal immigrants with foreign gang affiliations. The agitator, who had been recklessly driving through the neighborhood to impede ICE operations, was stopped by ICE officials on Thursday afternoon after blowing a red light and nearly colliding with a school bus while trailing federal vehicles, which she attempted to box in multiple times with her Mustang.
