The 2025 Nobel Peace Prize was awarded on Friday to Venezuelan political opposition leader Maria Corina Machado, "for her tireless work promoting democratic rights for the people of Venezuela and for her struggle to achieve a just and peaceful transition from dictatorship to democracy." Trump pulls off what appears to be an end to the war in Gaza and settles wars around the world and the Venezuelan opposition leader gets the Nobel Peace Prize. Perhaps this time next year if the Israel/Hamas peace agreement gets more fully implemented Trump will get what he deserves.
