* Upcoming research funded by the UK’s Advanced Research and Invention Agency (ARIA) will investigate the secrets of longevity in honeybee queens. * Queens eat royal jelly, which has antioxidants and less sugar than the honey tkhat workers eat. * This is thought to be part of the reasons queens outlive worker bees. * The gut bacteria of queen bees are thought to be connected to their much longer lifespans as well. ================================================================================= If you ever bought a bottle of vitamins, you’ve probably seen supplements touting the benefits of royal jelly—a substance worker bees secrete from their glands—on the shelf...

While the U.S. F-35 and F-22 may be qualitatively superior, China’s ability to mass-produce its J-20 stealth fighter presents a grave quantitative threat. China’s “offset strategy with Chinese characteristics” focuses on overwhelming the limited number of American fifth-generation jets with a massive fleet of J-20s.

Explanation: What lies in the heart of Orion? Trapezium: four bright stars, that can be found near the center of this sharp cosmic portrait. Gathered within a region about 1.5 light-years in radius, these stars dominate the core of the dense Orion Nebula Star Cluster. Ultraviolet ionizing radiation from the Trapezium stars, mostly from the brightest star Theta-1 Orionis C powers the complex star forming region's entire visible glow. About three million years old, the Orion Nebula Cluster was even more compact in its younger years and a dynamical study indicates that runaway stellar collisions at an earlier age may...

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The bloody years-long conflict between Ukraine and Russia was finally brought to an end this week, as President Donald Trump successfully negotiated a ceasefire between the countries by agreeing to give Vladimir Putin California. The deal was struck after several months of stop-and-start negotiations between the two sides mediated by Trump, with Russia finally agreeing to bring the hostilities to an end after being gifted the entire state of California as a substitute for the territory it coveted from Ukraine. "It's a great deal for every party involved," Trump told reporters when announcing the agreement. "I told...

Gary Boyadzhian, 50, has admitted to blasting the horn daily to get the attention of LAPD. Neighbors on a street in Van Nuys, Los Angeles, say they've been enduring the blasts for months with no end in sight. 'I know it's not fair to my neighbors, absolutely,' Boyadzhian told ABC7. 'If I were in their shoes, I would complain too. It is loud. It is disturbing.' Boyadzhian says he...

In a shocking case of corruption, Hamtramck, MI, councilmen Mohammed Kamrul Hassan and Muhtasin Rahman Sadman have been slapped with a bevy of felony and misdemeanor charges for alleged voter fraud during the 2023 elections. For context, Prosecutor Jeffrey Yorkey, who was appointed after AG Dana Nessel recused herself, pointed to numerous examples of forged absentee ballot applications and widespread measures to aid unqualified voters. Reacting to these allegations with tired race-baiting, Sadman dismissed the charges as “made-up” to tarnish the Muslim and Bangladeshi populations. Similarly, Hassan complained about damage to his reputation. The sweeping charges stem from an investigation...

Black community leaders in Cincinnati are furious over what they claim is a racial double standard in the aftermath of last month’s brawl in the city and want the white man involved to pay as well. As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, a group of black individuals smacked around a bald white guy at the intersection of West Fourth Street and Elm Street in downtown Cincy and beat him so bad that he could not get up. Then, a white woman got slugged by one of the cowards. Her head slammed down onto the concrete, and she lost consciousness. Blood...

President Donald Trump wants to clean up crime in Washington, D.C. by providing more federal agents and the National Guard to help out. Trump is trying to make the nation's capital safer. The Democrats should be welcoming the aid, but instead, because of their Trump Derangement Syndrome, they have to come out against it, even if that makes no sense. As is always the case with the left, what do they do next? They're throwing down the protest card. They're protesting an effort to make things safer. What are they going to do to make things better? Bang pots and...

Last month, a Republican Congress and President Trump achieved, if that is the word, a massive budget-reconciliation bill. As is more and more common, a Congress averse to accountability for particular votes crammed the measure full of many agenda items that the majority and the president wanted but chose to vote up or down on them as a package. Several provisions are relevant to American higher education. They involve the student-loan program, in which the federal government provides both subsidized and unsubsidized loans to both graduate and undergraduate students. Federal grants to needy students, e.g. Pell grants, are only modestly...

According to court documents obtained by Fox News Digital, Moorman discovered in 2024 that two co-workers from the Department of Vehicle Regulation were selling documents to "nonresidents" without proper immigration screenings or testing. Her lawyers argued that she knew of the crime after being invited to participate. "The employees were being paid under the table," Moorman told WDRB News on Monday.
