Hundreds of companies are deliberately shunning white men for jobs amid pressure to make workplaces more diverse, a survey has found. A poll of 1,216 of American businesses with diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) policies found that one in 10 avoid hiring white men altogether and six in 10 human resource (HR) managers put diversity over qualifications when selecting candidates. The study, conducted by website Resume Builder, also found that one in three HR managers believe that “reverse discrimination” occurs because of DEI policies. Three-quarters suspect that these policies were introduced “in part for appearances”. The survey comes after Donald...

An Austin-based tech company is pitching lawmakers on a drone defense system designed to disrupt school shootings in under a minute without using deadly force. Justin Marston, CEO and founder of Campus Guardian Angel, said the system is modeled after tactics used in modern warfare, particularly the war in Ukraine. “I came up with the idea watching the war in Ukraine and how successful small, low-cost drones were against people with guns,” Marston said. “They were able to get to those folks no matter how many times they were firing at them. So it really gave us the idea, if...

Minnesota Democrats killed an amendment to a crime and public safety bill that would require law enforcement agencies to report illegal aliens to ICE when they are arrested for a violent crime, ignoring the pleas of a man whose mother was brutally murdered and beheaded by an illegal alien. Charles Thayer, the son of America Thayer, testified in favor of the amendment last month in the State House. He told lawmakers the harrowing story of how his mother was abused, nearly lit on fire, and ultimately beheaded in Shakopee, Minnesota by a violent illegal alien, who had prior felony arrests...

The buck stops with them. North America’s second-largest supermarket chain is warning its suppliers that it won’t allow price hikes due to President Trump’s tariff spree. Albertsons, which operates over 2,200 grocery stores — including Balducci’s, Kings and Acme in the New York area, blasted out a missive to its suppliers late last month, explaining that suppliers must get authorization for significant price hikes. “With few exceptions, we are not accepting cost increases due to tariffs,” stated the letter, first uncovered by American Economic Liberties Project researcher Matt Stoller.

The company confirmed on Wednesday that it had been sharing patients’ private health information with tech and advertising giant Google since 2021. The proportion of Americans who trust President Donald Trump to run the country more than they trust the Democrats is greater than the proportion of Americans who trust the Democrats over Trump, a new poll has found. Trump has been hit with sustained negative polling lately on key issues including the economy. That he is trusted more than Democrats will provide some comfort ahead of the November 2026 midterm elections. Since losing the 2024 elections, there has been internal infighting in the Democratic Party between progressives and moderates and a lack of clarity about who might emerge as the next...

The state of Washington, which does not officially recognize Easter or Yom Kippur as state holidays, became the first state in the nation to recognize the two Islamic holidays of Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha as unpaid state-recognized holidays when Democrat Governor Bob Ferguson signed the legislation into law this month. “Senate Bill 5106, sponsored by Sen.
