President Trump on Monday extended a freeze on green cards for new immigrants and signed an executive order to suspend new H-1B, L-1, J and other temporary work visas for skilled workers, managers and au pairs through the end of the year. The goal of the move is to protect 525,000 jobs as part of the White House response to job losses caused by the coronavirus pandemic, said a senior administration official, who spoke to reporters on the condition of anonymity. NPR first reported the impending order on Saturday. "Americans have been hurt through no fault of their own due...

LONDON — Elon Musk is facing fierce criticism from British parliamentarians after he called for far-right ringleader Tommy Robinson to be released from prison. The X owner and key ally of Donald Trump tweeted Thursday morning that authorities should “free Tommy Robinson.” Robinson, the controversial English Defense League founder whose anti-immigration rallies in the U.K. attract thousands, was jailed for 18 months last October after breaching a court order. Musk's comments come amid an ongoing feud with the U.K.'s governing Labour Party — and just days after the tech billionaire spoke out in support of Germany's far-right Alternative for Germany...

Since their discovery, the ancestry of hundreds of mummified bodies buried in boats in an inhospitable desert region of northwest China has puzzled and divided archaeologists.Found in the Tarim Basin in Xinjiang mostly in the 1990s, the mummies' bodies and clothes are strikingly intact despite being up to 4,000 years old. Naturally preserved by the dry desert air, their facial features and hair color can clearly be seen.Their Western looks; felted and woven wool clothing; and the cheese, wheat and millet found in their unusual graves suggested they were long-disticance herders from the West Asia steppe or migrating farmers from...

About 1,700 soldiers from a Ukrainian unit equipped by the West and trained in France went AWOL before a shot was even fired. At least 50 members of the new 155th mechanised brigade, one of the few to operate the Leopard 2 battle tank, disappeared while elements of the unit were being drilled in France. The mass exodus came before the brigade was deployed to Pokrovsk, the key logistics hub anchoring Ukraine’s defence against Russian advances in the eastern Donetsk region.Entering the battle in recent days, it suffered heavy losses, reportedly including some of its tanks and armoured vehicles. It prompted the...

The mosque reportedly attended by New Orleans terrorist Shamsud Din Jabbar urged members to refer inquiries from the FBI to the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) and the Islamic Society of Greater Houston. More than a dozen were killed and dozens wounded in the terror attack in the early hours of New Year’s Day on Bourbon Street, in which Jabbar drove a truck with an ISIS flag into a crowd of revelers. Newsweek reported: A mosque near the Houston home of Shamsud-Din Jabbar, who police say carried out the New Year’s Day attack in New Orleans, has urged its congregation...

CNN sparked outrage after it aired a two-hour documentary about the late singer Luther Vandross instead of offering continuing coverage of the aftermath of the New Year’s Day terrorist attack in New Orleans that took place hours earlier. “Biggest act of terrorism on US soil in almost a decade and @CNN in primetime is airing a 2 hour documentary on Luther Vandross,” Wall Street Journal editor-at-large Gerard Baker wrote on his X social media account. Baker added three clown emojis to emphasize the point. Tom Sileo, an author and former copy editor at CNN, said the decision by his former...

Pope Francis presided over his weekly general audience Wednesday alongside a Palestinian-crafted Nativity scene that was missing its eyebrow-raising signature element: a keffiyeh-draped manger holding the infant Jesus. The wooden Nativity scene in the Vatican’s main audience hall had generated headlines when it was unveiled Dec. 7 because of the presence of the keffiyeh, the black-and-white checkered headscarf that has become a potent symbol of the Palestinian cause. This year, the Nativity scenes were made by Bethlehem-based artisans. Representatives of the Palestinian Embassy to the Holy See, as well as special representatives of Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas, had been on hand at...

Since Joe Biden sat down in the White House, people paying attention to world events have wondered how long it would be before this administration's disastrous policies led to a resurgence of terror right here at home. We need wonder no longer. The events of yesterday in New Orleans have answered the question. Someday is today. On January 1, 2025, an individual identified as Shamsud Din Jabbar drove a Ford Lightning pickup truck into a crowd in the French Quarter. He then exited the vehicle and engaged police officers with a firearm. Shamsud was killed. Two police officers were wounded....

This is truly chilling, especially in the wake of today’s terror attacks in New Orleans and Las Vegas. A former CIA officer named Sarah Adams was interviewed on the Shawn Ryan podcast just two weeks ago, and warned that there are more than a thousand al-Qaeda sleepers in the United States right now who are planning major attacks on the homeland. She clearly implicates Biden’s open southern border as the entry point for these potential terrorists and suggests that they have developed new tactics and bombs that can evade detection through traditional means. Zero Hedge has more details: In a...

Recently, a fierce battle over the H-1B Visa Program erupted on X. In one corner, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, a big believer in the program, where tech companies pay less for non-American talent. Indians (dot, not feather) have been primary participants. In the other corner, the MAGA Base, who believe in America First, and to hell with immigration, legal or otherwise. For them, H-1B was just another cog in the Population Replacement wheel.

Joe Scarborough chose a good day to be absent from Morning Joe. He wasn't exposed to direct contradiction and disgrace for his blatant lie to Americans about Joe Biden's mental acuity -- or lack thereof. Even so, the show did its best to cover for Biden -- and for itself and the rest of the liberal media -- which for years buried the truth about Biden's shocking decline. The clip that Morning Joe played of Biden's comments on the ISIS-inspired New Orleans terror attack was bad enough. Biden stumbled and slurred throughout. But you'll notice an editing pause midway through...
