A US Army soldier has been arrested in Texas after being indicted on two counts of unlawful transfer of confidential phone records information.
While the indictment doesn't specify any hacking activity or victims' names, Cameron John Wagenius, 20, is suspected of being a cybercriminal known as Kiberphant0m, who claimed to have breached at least 15 telecommunications firms including AT&T and Verizon, according to KrebsOnSecurity.
Wagenius is allegedly an associate of Connor Riley Moucka, one of the men accused of compromising multiple organizations' Snowflake-hosted environments, stealing sensitive customer data housed in the cloud storage service, and then extorting victims for millions of dollars.

Very good start, but we need to trace it up the chain of command as in the movie A Few Good Men.

If he’s active duty he could be court martialed. My guess is that the charges would earn him about 10 years at the US Disciplinary Barracks at Fort Leavenworth,KS.

The military connection is becoming clearer by the day. The Pentagon has created a shadow army apparently with their DEI and anti-MAGA positions.
It would go beyond a simple ideological bent to encompass actual sedition and treason if this goes up the chain of command.
AS ALWAYS..IMHO

We need to trace a LOT of happenings, from the past four + years, up the chain of command ala A Few Good Men.
And, yes ... we CAN handle the truth :-)

I could be wrong, but it seems like ‘The Cloud’ is just a great big grab bag of data that the entire world can stick their paws in and take whatever it is they want!..............

25+ years in software engineering and I can tell you there is no such thing as secure once you plug it into the outside world, period.

“The Cloud” is just a bunch of real-world datacenters that belong to someone other than you. There’s nothing magic about it. The security is simply whatever security the datacenter employees have designed, implemented, and maintained. Some are better than others. None are perfect.
