As soon as I woke up this morning the song, "In The Year 2525," kept playing over and over again in my head. I can't stop hearing it. Think I'm nuts? Well listen to it for yourself, IN THE YEAR 2525, and I guarantee you too will start hearing it over and over again in your head.

A white 15-year-old in Massachusetts has admitted to carrying out a racially-motivated attack last year in which he tried to drown a Black teen while calling him racial slurs and referring to the victim as “George Floyd” because he was unable to breathe. John P. Sheeran earlier this month pleaded guilty to one count of attempted murder and one count of assault with a dangerous weapon, the Cape Cod Times reported. Sheeran is charged as a “youthful offender,” meaning Barnstable Juvenile Court Judge Sylvia Gomes could still choose to sentence him as an adult. Under Massachusetts’ youthful offender statute, prosecutors...

New Year’s Day brings a rise in the minimum hourly wage in nearly half of the states in the U.S., and 48 counties, though some economists warn that the mandated raises could hurt small businesses and overall employment levels. Fox Business reported: “An analysis by The Economic Policy Institute says 21 states will raise their minimum wage at the first of the year, along with 48 cities and counties that are lifting their pay floors above their respective state minimums – mostly in California, Colorado and Washington.” The Wall Street Journal editorial page took a skeptical view of the changes,...

Pretty and popular, Aubrey Vanlandingham had the world at her feet as she progressed through high school in a well-to-do suburb of Austin, Texas. Not only was she a cheerleader, but she had also just been made president of the school's Future Farmers of America. And she was particularly proud of her pet goat, Lacey, which she paraded in animal shows across the state for cash prizes and certificates. The 17-year-old posted her beloved pet on her social media, with now-deleted posts seen by DailyMail.com detailing her excitement to head up Vista Ridge High School's FFA in Cedar Park, in...

From Our Own Correspondent. WINCHESTER, Va., Monday, Dec. 26, 1864. The crisp, sharp weather of the last two weeks, which nearly rendered all military movements impracticable, has been moderating since the commencement of the holidays, until rain commenced falling twenty-four hours ago, and to-day the snow has almost entirely disappeared. While in civil life the old as well as the young generally celebrate this season of the year, the soldier in this valley has but little to enjoy save the remembrance of other times. A few have been cheered by favors from the dear ones at home, and the occasion...

President-elect Trump is planning to attend the funeral of former President Carter, he said Tuesday. Asked by The Associated Press as he walked into a New Year’s Eve party at his Mar-a-Lago club in Florida, Trump said “I’ll be there.” Trump declined to share whether he had spoken to members of Carter’s family. Carter died peacefully Sunday in Plains, Ga., according to the Carter Center. He turned 100 in October, making him the longest-lived president in the nation’s history. Trump frequently criticized Carter’s administration on the campaign trail, comparing the rising inflation rates of the 1970s to inflation today in...

Over the past few years, conservative commentator Brett Cooper has made a huge number of videos at a YouTube channel which, until very recently, was called “The Comments Section with Brett Cooper.” That YouTube channel is run by the Daily Wire, which is, in turn, run by Ben Shapiro. Here is one of Cooper’s videos from that channel, so you can see her style of talking in case you’re not familiar with her:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yU8kGWoaroMCooper recently left the channel, and has been replaced with what is being referred to as “Temu Brett Cooper.” For those of you who aren’t familiar with Temu, it’s...

As a free-speech campaigner, I was deeply alarmed by the prospect of a Labour government. But it turns out, I wasn’t nearly worried enough. The unrelenting assault on this essential human right since Sir Keir Starmer entered Downing Street in July has shocked even the most jaundiced of observers. Who could have predicted this time last year that scores of people would be prosecuted for offensive speech on social media following a brutal knife attack? That two police officers would turn up at the door of an award-winning journalist on Remembrance Sunday to interview her about a year-old tweet that...

The Iranian-backed terror group Hamas has decided to call President-elect Donald Trump’s bluff and abandon negotiations toward a hostage deal, waiting instead to see if it can get a better deal when he takes office January 20. Trump said at Mar-a-Lago on New Year’s Eve, “They better let the hostages come back soon,” reiterating a threat that there would be “ALL HELL TO PAY” if Hamas did not free its remaining 100 Israeli hostages by his Inauguration.

Welcome to Threat Matrix 2025 For historical reference TM2024 link is https://freerepublic.com/focus/bloggers/4207046/posts?q=1&;page=1#1 Established in 2001, after the 9/11 attack on America and now in its 24th year, this thread is designed to identify threats to America, both internal and external, and evaluate the probability of those threats occurring and the extent of potential damage. Discussions may stray into ‘tinfoil’ territory, but the goal is to peel back and confirm information so we can make informed decisions and actions. Incredible as it seems, “tinfoil” conspiracy theories have fast become realities so they can no longer be ignored outright, but must be...

Two people have been killed and more than 20 injured in a New Year’s Eve fireworks display tragedy in Hawaii. Police said they had responded to a “fireworks-related” incident in the Salt Lake area of Honolulu this evening and there were “multiple casualties”. The incident occurred on Keaka Drive, with officials telling locals to avoid the area. An unconfirmed video posted on social media appeared to show a fireworks display violently ‘exploding’ outside a private residence on the road.

Well, how about this “fly in the ointment, monkey in the wrench, a pain in the a--” (Die Hard, 1988)? Just when we thought everything was in place for a single-minded new era — a closed border, reduced inflation, and an end to wokery (among relief from other insane policies of the Biden regime), we have an internecine war on our hands. Who knew that Vivek and Elon both viewed us as lazy, retarded, and unskilled, unworthy of the jobs millions of foreigners, mostly Indians, have been imported to fill?

This is an extract from Brendan O’Neill’s book, After the Pogrom: 7 October, Israel and the Crisis of Civilisation. You can buy it on Amazon now. Whatever happened to the sin of cultural appropriation? This ideology of rebuke held sway on university campuses for years. The idea was that no member of the majority group should ever appropriate the cultural habits of a minority group. It’s offensive, apparently. It’s racial theft. It’s parody disguised as authenticity. White men wearing their hair in dreadlocks, white women in kimonos, gay men twerking or using black slang – all of it was damned...

Note the heartless obliviousness on display in this Sunday front-page Washington Post article by Molly Hennessy-Fiske. The headline: ‘Baby in a dumpster.’ A spate of abandoned newborns unsettles Texas. Yes, what a tragedy. If only abortion were readily available in Texas, then ALL of these babies might have died, rather than just some of them. But it's the sub-headline that gives away the paper's cruel cluelessness [emphasis added]: "Critics say these cases are no coincidence in a state with one of the nation’s most restrictive abortion bans and near-bottom rankings on women’s health care." Get the rest of the story...

(KTXL) — Many Californians can look back at their time growing up and remember spending hours after school bogged down in homework, but one lawmaker hopes to change that for the next generation. When the bell rings and the school day is over, for students like Sofia Johnson, the day is nowhere near over. The sixth-grader blames that on hours spent doing homework. “Homework is exhausting. It’s overwhelming,” Johnson said. “It’s depressing that my whole day from when I wake up to when I go to bed is taken up doing school work.” That’s why Johnson’s mother, assemblymember Pilar Schiavo...

Matthew Graves, appointed by Joe Biden in 2021 to lead the most powerful U.S. Attorney's office in the nation, steps down but not before leaving behind a legacy of human wreckage. Two weeks after the U.S. Senate confirmed his nomination as U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia in November 2021, Matthew Graves indicted longtime Trump confidante Steve Bannon on contempt of Congress charges. The move represented how Graves would conduct himself in office. As the nation’s capital descended into a deadly and dangerous crime wave, Graves, also responsible for prosecuting local violent crime, devoted most of his resources to...

President-elect Trump announced that Justin Caporale would join him as the executive producer for major events and public appearances while in office. “Justin Caporale has been with me right from the beginning of a very incredible journey, helping to produce our Historic Rallies and Events, including the Republican National Convention, Madison Square Garden, McDonalds commercial, and even my seriously viral ‘Garbage Truck ride,’” he wrote in a Tuesday Truth Social post. Caporale help with the former president’s stunt in a garbage truck during the campaign trail in October after Biden seemingly called his supporters “garbage” during a video call. The...
