Musk publicly called MAGA Americans who don’t want to be replaced stupid and racist just like he would have a few years ago when he backed Biden’s campaign. I suppose not all of his beliefs have changed as much as we think.

The left’s purposeful destruction of our education system, turning out, at least, two gens of grads, some of whom cannot even read their diploma, and colleges full of ignorant dopes who think a BA in “social studies” will somehow open the door to 100k jobs, who need “safe spaces” and therapy when their feelings get hurt.
In the meantime, our global competitors are educating THEIR kids with the intention of beating the global competition.

Until then, we may have to allow H1b visas in order to get our economy and supply chain going after the Obama/Biden debacle.

True that. But the squabbling was 100% started by Musk and Ramaswamy. And particularly by Musk with his very inappropriate comments.
MAGA folks have every right to push back.
And those two need to understand they are now part of a team, an important team that needs everyone pulling in the same direction.
I was in Big Tech for over 45 years. There was little competition in the late 60’s and 70’s, but then came cheap programmers from the mid east. I mean very cheap, not exactly crackerjack programmers, and didn’t speak English all that well, but with detailed specs, they would do. As time went on, their skills sharpened a bit and English improved, and still very cheap. Eventually they landed roles like programmer/analyst and ever project leaders. Agencies would hire them almost exclusively. The last 10 years of my career, my hourly rate decreased by 30%. I had to lower my rate to stay employed. The last gig I had, 70% of the contractors were either Indian, Pakistanian, Chinese or Russian. There needs to be a smaller cap on how many green cards are allowed, and incentives and jobs for American college students who want to get into high tech positions.
I said 10 minutes into this Elon and Vivek thing that their five minutes of fame is over. They need to go away.
It wasn’t the media that forced Musk to publicly tweet his disdain for Americans who don’t want to be replaced. At this point all immigration is a a problem for Americans and that’s why Trump won. Immigration was the single biggest issue of the election. Trump ran a promises to end it.

Elon was a H1B immigrant himself. He would be a hypocrite if he went against it. We landed on the Moon without it , but without those German scientists could we have done it by 1969?
