Fighting around the key eastern Ukraine city of Pokrovsk is “extremely intense” after a monthslong Russian push, Ukraine’s top military commander said, with analysts estimating Russian forces are now within just a few kilometers (miles) of the city. “Russian occupiers are throwing all available forces forward, attempting to break through the defenses of our troops,” Ukrainian army chief Gen. The Chinese flew a giant freaking balloon across the entire continent and we didn't do anything about it, despite its glacial pace. As well as Trump’s properties. ... Under the Biden administration, the U.S.’s military readiness and capability appears to have regressed to pre-World War I levels, despite the advent of high-tech weaponry. These drones fly at roughly the speed of a World War I aeroplane. A pilot in...

Astronomers using the James Webb Space Telescope to peer back in time into the farthest reaches of the universe have found stunning evidence for an alternate theory of gravity. Current models of galaxy formation in the early cosmos predict the presence of excess gravity caused by dark matter to pull material into slowly forming galaxies. However, an alternate theory of gravity first proposed in 1998 called Modified Newtonian Dynamics (MOND) suggests that structures in the early universe formed very quickly without the need for theoretical dark matter. Now, researchers from Case Western Reserve University say that scans of ancient galaxies...

WASHINGTON -- President Joe Biden is commuting the sentences of roughly 1,500 people who were released from prison and placed on home confinement during the coronavirus pandemic and is pardoning 39 Americans convicted of nonviolent crimes. It's the largest single-day act of clemency in modern history. The commutations announced Thursday are for people who have served out home confinement sentences for at least one year after they were released. Prisons were uniquely bad for spreading the virus and some inmates were released in part to stop the spread. At one point, 1 in 5 prisoners had COVID-19, according to a...

“Therefore also God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those who are in heaven, and on earth, and under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father” (Philippians 2:9-11). God will exalt the humble. Having plumbed the depths of Christ’s humiliation (Phil. 2:5-8), Paul now soars to the heights of His exaltation (vv. 9-11). Like Paul, the apostle Peter affirmed that the great theme of Old Testament prophecy was...

Syrian rebel forces have uncovered a network of huge underground tunnels beneath the Qalamoun Mountains bordering Syria and Lebanon. The subterranean labyrinth, which cost millions of dollars to build, was funded by Iran for the purpose of transferring advanced weaponry to its proxy, Hezbollah, in Lebanon. In the below video uploaded to s social media, photographers ride a motorcycle inside the sophisticated, huge well-built tunnels while describing the batteries for firing surface-to-surface missiles that they see, stored within. A smaller but equally sophisticated tunnel system was found beneath Syria’s presidential palace in Damascus and the home of Assad’s brother, Maher...
