The Chinese flew a giant freaking balloon across the entire continent and we didn't do anything about it, despite its glacial pace. They must surely believe that they could get away with flying a few dozen drones over New Jersey and New York — and their attendant military bases, dams, and other infrastructure.

Yet, the U.S. can't figure out what these drones are up to or what to do about them, mimicking how it handled the now infamous spy balloon.
It seems like, at this point in time, China could attack the U.S. with wooden schooners, slow boats from China, and it would be unable to quickly identify them … or protect its coasts as they bombarded Los Angeles and New York with cannonballs. Or whatever.

Politician claims there is an Iranian mother ship off East Coast, DOD says otherwise. Fact: Iran does have a drone mother ship. The ship is usually parked in one place, but now is gone. Where, no one seems to know.
The US has holes in its radar coverage. So it is possible the drones are coming ashore through one of those holes.
Why aren’t they shot down? Last night’s Hannity show began on the drone topic. Toward the end on the first segment, some guest says something about why the military has not shoot them down to the effect they are not allowed to do that, and if some private citizen does, he will go to jail. I was out of the room when those comments were offered, so I cannot say if that is accurate - someone will have to find a clip of that show to verify or quash.

What the F do we spend all those trillions of dollars on? You got Naval Station Norfolk, the largest naval base in the world, you've got Langley AFB (home base of the F-22), you've got Naval Air Station Oceana (home of the F/A-18 super hornets).
Good God if those drones had dropped anti-LGBQ leaflets, things would have gone Code Red. There would have been all hell to pay.

In the role I recently retired from, I observed/read about a good deal of *existing* ‘drone’/UAS detection, tracking and countermeasure technologies. Our armed forces and DHS have them, maybe not widely deployed, but we *do* have them.
‘Someone’ is telling the usual suspects to say nothing more than ‘we know nothing.’ It’s disgraceful.
Once Trump is in office, even if this was a US SAP (special access program) his administration will be able to tell us the truth, with an appropriate level of detail.
Our clueless governor Murphy says “we don’t see any concern for public safety”. What an ass-wipe. Not until public outrage has he changed his tune. Unless you know exactly what the drones are doing and where they are from, how can you make such a stupid statement? Oh, of course. It’s because he is stupid.

How many tens of thousands of Chinese illegals are there here, who’ve been parting drones together based on Chinese specs who are now executing a plan developed by China to do exactly what’s going on?
And I read this morning elsewhere online that a FLEET of bus sized drones were flying over OKC last night. That included video of the “fleet” which may be AI Generated for all I know. Hard for me to tell, but am skeptical of at least this claim.
I’m beginning to wonder if this is just to distract the news cycle from something more troubling.
Which is why government agencies haven't gotten involved. Most of the videos of "mysterious drones" are planes and helicopters with deliberately deceptive narratives.
They're lit up like Christmas trees and flying over bases with impunity. The dog didn't bark (the military isn't shooting them down).

Just the other day a Chinese guy flew a drone over Vandenberg, got caught, then subsequently was caught at the airport going back to China with the drone photos.
Judge gas given him $0 bail.
He might be let out today if appeal of that bail is turned down.
It’s crazy.
