Day #29 of the Top 50 songs on my iTunes playlist -- ranked in reverse order by play frequency from #50 to #1 and presented here on a series of FR threads. I've been posting them here on a new thread that compiles the growing list one day at a time over the course of several months. I only post them on weekdays and may miss a day or two here and there, so this will probably be done by early November. And to show my gratitude to the FR management for giving us all a forum to post vanity...

VIDEOHas the extreme dumbing down of society happened several centuries EARLIER than depicted in the film "Idiocracy?" After watching the 60 Minutes interview with Kamala Harris it would certainly seem that way. It is now impossible to listen to her meaningless word salads and empty platitudes without thinking "Idiocracy Candidate."

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) said Monday that it was “delusional” for Vice President Harris to accuse him of “political gamesmanship” after reports emerged that he did not take the Democratic presidential nominee’s calls as his state braces for Hurricane Milton. DeSantis said in a Fox News interview Monday evening that he is “leveraging all resources available, including from the federal government” to prepare for Hurricane Milton’s expected landfall Wednesday evening, adding that he has been in touch with both President Biden and Federal Emergency Management Agency officials in preparation. “And so for Kamala Harris to try to say that...

Western hegemony is passing, but for reasons other than the war in Ukraine. The war is accelerating trends already in place. But it is a “turning point” in the sense that the war’s origins are found in one kind of a world order while its end will come in a different kind.By world order we mean the way in which power is distributed around the globe, who makes the rules, and its legitimacy, how countries play by the rules.-NATO enlargement was nested within a liberal internationalist outlook. It took some inspiration from democratic peace theory, which holds that a world...

How the @NYTimes censors calls to violence (and actual violence) at anti-Israel protests The New York Times reported on the Gaza protests in Manhattan yesterday. The photo caption says, "Demonstrators blocked streets in Lower Manhattan to call for a cease-fire in Gaza on the first anniversary of the Hamas-led attacks on Israel." The "Cease Fire Now" sign is prominently highlighted as the main photo of the article. The New York Daily News also shows that same sign. But they show it as it was seen for most of the march - behind several other much larger banners that led the...

The “election integrity lawyer” for the Republican Party in Arizona, Kory Langhofer, has resigned. This means that 3 days before mail in ballots are dropping in Arizona, the AZGOP and TeamTrump don’t have a lawyer to fight election fraud in Arizona.. Kory resigned TODAY and his resignation will go into effect on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 (the same day that early voting begins in Arizona). He resigned because he was unwilling to file a lawsuit over the 218,000 unconfirmed US citizen (illegal aliens) voters that Adrian Fontes , the anti-Trump Democrat Secretary of State in Arizona, has refused to remove...

Self-styled “knucklehead” Tim Walz has revealed the absurd codename he lists Vice President Kamala Harris under on his phone since he accidentally ignored her call telling him he was her running mate. The lefty Minnesota governor told Jimmy Kimmel late Monday that Harris had tried to call him in early August to tell him he was her pick for the Democratic ticket — except he decided not to answer. “It was an unmarked number so I’m thinking it’s like a car warranty thing,” Walz told Kimmel to laughter from the studio audience. He only took the life-changing call when he...

1:41 Liberal documentary filmmaker Michael Moore said Monday on CNN’s “News Central” that he was “frightened” Democrats think former President Donald Trump will win. Host Brianna Keilar said, “In know you’ve heard it. There is there thinking that you’re aware of from I think Democrats in the political class who said yeah, but Harris needs people in the middle and liberals are going to vote for her regardless, why would they stay home? It’s as good as a vote for Trump. What do you say to that reasoning?” Moore said, “I honestly think we’re going to have one of our...

Kamala Harris is in sync with socialists and communists when she speaks fondly of a hypothetical society where "we all end up in the same place." This equality of outcome scheme (as opposed to equality of opportunity) flies in the face of human nature, given that individuals have different abilities, levels of intelligence, work ethics, familial environments, etc. - all of which guarantee unequal outcomes. Any combination of hard work, intelligence, aptitude for employment related tasks, and/or choosing a trade or profession that accommodates market demands will often make someone more economically successful than others, assuming an absence of institutional...

Kamala is a good-for-nothing on at least three levels.First: she is literally “good for nothing.” Her career is littered with failures. Even a distinguished black journalist dared to observe, at great professional peril, her “failing up” the career ladder. Craig J. DeLuz, writing for the Washington Times, bravely concedes that, “An elected official with a track record of failure spanning her entire political career, Harris has consistently been rewarded with promotions by left-leaning voters.” Among her many inadequacies, Mr. DeLuz notes that Kamala was the most left-leaning member of the Senate, all the while achieving the following – nothing. Second:...

Six days ago, Alejandro Arcos took office as mayor of Chilpancingo, the capital city of the state of Guerrero, in southern Mexico. Three days ago, in one of his first public appearances, Arcos, a member of the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI), condemned the murder of his right-hand man in the town hall, Francisco Tapia, who was shot at point-blank range. This Sunday, Alejandro Arcos’s lifeless body was found inside a car parked in the middle of the street. His head, however, was found on the outside, on the roof of the vehicle. It was the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE)...

A meteorologist and hurricane specialist has become emotional on TV as he described just how strong the hurricane heading for millions of people in Florida and Mexico has become. John Morales told NBC 6 in South Florida that Hurricane Milton has become a Category five, with wind speeds almost tripling. "It has dropped fifty millibars, in ten hours" he said, choking up in the process. "I apologise, this is just... horrific." He said he blames global warming and climate change for the increase in extreme weather.

We regularly hear that on issue rankings, abortion is the most important issue for only 4% to 5% of the country. But that is not asking the right question.A deep dive on abortion, combining both extensive qualitative and quantitative research, asked two additional questions.First, when also asked if they agreed that “there are more important issues than abortion that a politician must address,” nationally 23% disagreed with the statement, including 26% of women and 28% of self-described pro-choice voters.Even more importantly, 48% of likely voters agreed with the statement “I could never vote for an elected official whose beliefs on...
