Fuming Kamala Harris supporters are calling for the director of the Arlington National Cemetery to be "fired" for allowing Donald Trump to attend a Monday memorial service for fallen soldiers. Democratic media figures and activists expressed their fury at Arlington National Cemetery director Karen Durham-Aguilera, a longtime senior Army official, after Trump marked the third anniversary of the Kabul airport terrorist attack by attending a wreath-laying ceremony with the families of the fallen service members. The Gold Star families invited Trump to attend the service. Thirteen American soldiers were killed and 18 wounded in the Abbey Gate suicide bombing during...

Vice President Kamala Harris’s presidential campaign now claims she “does not support” Electric Vehicle (EV) mandates after years of supporting such mandates as a Senator and in her role in President Joe Biden’s administration. According to The Spectator‘s Amber Duke, Harris’s campaign sent an email to supporters on Tuesday claiming “Vice President Harris does not support an electric vehicle mandate.” The statement comes after years of Harris campaigning, championing, and supporting EV mandates that require automakers to produce and sell a certain percentage of EVs to American consumers.

Mark Zuckerberg is handing Republicans political victories ahead of the 2024 presidential election, acquiescing to years of GOP grievances over his company’s policies. In recent days, the Meta chief executive has made newsworthy public statements implicitly supporting right-wing “censorship” narratives and offered praise for Donald Trump as “badass” – even as he claimed he wanted to appear “neutral” and nonpartisan. On Monday, Zuckerberg sent a letter to the powerful House Judiciary Committee, stating that the Biden administration had “pressured” Meta to “censor” content during the pandemic. “In 2021, senior officials from the Biden Administration, including the White House, repeatedly pressured...

Ukraine’s ex-Danish Lockheed Martin F-16s have scored their first aerial victories. According to Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky, the supersonic F-16s shot down Russian cruise missiles during the Russian air raids targeting Ukrainian cities on Monday. The shoot-downs came three weeks after the first of the nimble F-16s, out of around 85 that Belgium, Denmark, The Netherlands and Norway have pledged, arrived in Ukraine. “It is excellent to see them in action,” wrote Joni Askola, a Finnish analyst.

Russia has diverted some 30,000 troops from the front lines in eastern Ukraine to the Kursk region, the top Ukrainian commander said Tuesday. Col. Gen. Oleksandr Syrskyi, Ukraine’s commander-in-chief, said at a Ukrainian forum that the troops were moved from the front but did not clarify from which directions of eastern Ukraine. He added the number of Russian troops being redeployed “is growing,” and the Kursk offensive is putting pressure on Moscow. Ukraine has now claimed close to 500 square miles of Russian territory in Kursk, captured 100 settlements and taken 594 Russian prisoners, Syrskyi said. The U.S. has also...

28-year-old surfer Liam Mahoney was arrested on the beach in Belmar, New Jersey on Tuesday, August 20th and was charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and obstruction of justice. Videos of the arrest went viral and there was massive public outcry about “beach badge” requirements for surfers at Belmar’s beaches. Beach badges are required for admission to Belmar’s beaches. They cost $12 per day and seasonal badges are available for $80. It was first reported that Mahoney was arrested for not having his “beach badge” but Belmar Police have made a statement to the contrary: “To be clear, Mr. Mahoney...

Suits you, sir! Former President Donald Trump will be sending some of his supporters pieces of the suit he wore when he debated President Biden in June, he announced Tuesday. Those who buy enough of his trading cards will receive their very own piece of the “knockout” suit in the mail — with a select few bearing his signature, Trump said in a video posted to Truth Social. “Purchase 15 or more of my Trump digital trading cards and we’ll mail you a beautiful, physical trading card,” the 45th president said, calling it, “quite something.” He went on, “each physical...

A 3,500-year-old jar has been accidentally smashed into pieces by a four-year-old boy during a trip to a museum in Israel. The Hecht Museum in Haifa told the BBC the crockery dated back to the Bronze Age between 2200 and 1500BC - and was a rare artefact because it was so intact. It had been on display near the entrance of the museum without glass, as the museum believes there is "special charm" in showing archaeological finds "without obstructions". The jar was most likely originally intended to be used to carry local supplies, such as wine and olive oil. It...

Earlier on Tuesday, as Mia covered, Special Counsel Jack Smith filed a new indictment against former and potentially future President Donald Trump in the January 6 case. With considerable righteous indignation, Trump reacted to the news in a series of posts to his Truth Social account. Trump began with strong words for Smith, referring to the move as "an effort to resurrect a 'dead' Witch Hunt in Washington, D.C., in an act of desperation, and in order to save face," calling Smith out for being "Deranged" and saying he was "illegally appointed." In referring to the indictment out as "ridiculous,"...

Conservative activist Robby Starbuck has gotten Lowe's, Tractor Supply, Jack Daniel's, and John Deere to retreat from identity-based employee policies and donations to left-wing activism. Hardware retail chain Lowe’s is the latest major brand to announce a retreat from “woke” policies, again driven by pressure from conservative filmmaker Robby Starbuck. Starbuck announced Monday on X that he had notified Lowe’s that he was planning another of his now-trademark exposés against the company’s left-wing corporate policies, to which Lowe’s responded by announcing multiple changes to those policies. Specifically, the company will stop participating in the Corporate Equality Index social credit system...

When Vice President Kamala Harris said last week in Chicago, “you can always trust me to put country above party,” it struck a familiar note in Britain, where the new prime minister, Keir Starmer, used much the same phrase throughout the Labour Party’s relentless march to power earlier this summer. It’s not the only parallel between Mr. Starmer and Ms. Harris, the Democratic presidential nominee. Both have shaken off or soft-pedaled some of their earlier positions as they try to broaden their party’s appeal. Both are former public prosecutors, who declare a ringing commitment to the rule of law. Both...

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said the incursion into Russia’s Kursk region was the first part of Kyiv’s victory plan, which he intends to present to US President Joe Biden in September. While light on details, Zelensky said the four-stage plan began with the cross-border incursion into Kursk, which he said “is already done.” “Second direction is Ukraine’s strategic place in the security infrastructure of the world,” Zelensky continued. “Third direction is the powerful package of forcing Russia to end the war in a diplomatic way, and the fourth direction is economical.” It also raised questions on how it would end...

Former Toronto Blue Jays and current Boston Red Sox catcher Danny Jansen has become the first man to play for two teams in the same game - and he did it all in a single inning. In a statistical oddity made possible by two of the quirkiest entities on Earth - the baseball rule book and the New England weather - Jansen became the only player ever to appear on both sides of a baseball box score when he took the field for Boston on Monday in the resumption of a rain-delayed game he started for Toronto in June, before...

WASHINGTON) -- Climate change may not be a top concern for voters for the 2024 presidential election, but that hasn't stopped many Republicans from making misrepresentations about environmental and energy policy – a departure from the previous tactic of majority climate change denial, according to experts on environmental politics who spoke with ABC News. Debates around energy policy, specifically regarding renewable energy versus fossil fuels, are inherently connected to climate change, in large part because fossil fuels are the largest contributor to climate change, according to the United Nations, accounting for more than 75% of global greenhouse gas emissions and...

MANILA—The US military is open to the possibility of escorting Philippine ships in the disputed South China Sea, depending on consultations under the allies’ 1951 Mutual Defense Treaty, the head of US Indo-Pacific Command said Tuesday amid a spike in hostilities between Beijing and Manila in the disputed waters. Adm. Samuel Paparo’s remarks, which he made in response to a question during a news conference in Manila with Philippine Armed Forces chief Gen. Romeo Brawner Jr., provided a glimpse of the mindset of one of the highest American military commanders outside the US mainland on a prospective operation that would...

More than 200 former aides to the three GOP presidential nominees who preceded former President Trump in 2016 — former President George W. Bush, former Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) and Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah) — endorsed Vice President Harris on Monday. The majority of the group also endorsed President Biden in 2020. The group wrote a letter announcing the endorsement, USA Today first reported. The letter said it was a reunion of sorts from 2020, though it added that additional Bush alumni in particular were added to the group this cycle that are opposing Trump and backing Harris. “Of course,...

George Barna, director of research at Arizona Christian University’s Cultural Research Center, released new data earlier this month that “reveals the limitations of Christian evangelicalism in American society.” The events from recent years have caused “millions of Americans to realize just how depraved American society has become,” the report stated. “Corrupt politicians, dishonest journalists and media outlets, broken social institutions, immoral religious leaders, unconstitutional government programs and policies, and more, have generated non-stop headlines highlighting the decadence of American society and the demise of the United States.” It went on to contend that “The depth of the depravity is shocking”...
