A San Francisco store owner has slammed the Dem-led city's officials for failing to control its out-of-control crime wave, after a gang of thieves smashed into his tobacco shop and stole $100,000 in goods and cash. Storeowner Zaid, an immigrant from Afghanistan, said lawmakers 'need to get a grip' on the city, feeling it has become 'worse than Afghanistan or Iraq'. 'At least in Afghanistan the Taliban will cut your hand off and people are afraid to commit such a crime,' he added to Fox News. His remarks come as the West Coast metro continues to spiral into lawlessness, with...

On this date in 1666, the pastor Andreas Koch suffered the pains of standing up against witch hunts in his town of Lemgo: Koch himself was beheaded as a wizard. Lemgo recorded a busy witch-hunt record with an estimated 250 cases in the 16th and 17th centuries. But the bulk of those cases came surprisingly late — from 1653 to 1681, the period after the Thirty Years’ War witch-smelling acme. As we’ve seen before in these grim annals, elites were not safe from the Hexenverfolgung; this, perhaps, is the reason that even we latter-day seculars still have such a visceral...

Megyn Kelly begins the show with a monologue explaining why she is done using "preferred pronouns" and will base her conversations on trans ideology in reality and truth, how her own views on this issue have evolved, the harms of gender affirming care in schools and by physicians, the injustice of biological men competing in women’s sports, how Lia Thomas and then Riley Gaines changed the story, standing up for women, and more.

NHS trusts are sharing intimate details about patients’ medical conditions, appointments and treatments with Facebook without consent and despite promising never to do so. An Observer investigation has uncovered a covert tracking tool in the websites of 20 NHS trusts which has for years collected browsing information and shared it with the tech giant in a major breach of privacy. The data includes granular details of pages viewed, buttons clicked and keywords searched. It is matched to the user’s IP address – an identifier linked to an individual or household – and in many cases details of their Facebook account....

We asked DeSantis campaign Communications Director Stephen Lawson to straighten out the Dee/Deh conundrum. It had become the source of debate in our newsroom. "It's also been a little controversial for us on the campaign trail," Lawson confessed. "He uses Dee-Santis." But Casey Dee-Santis, seems to use Deh-Santis, right? Pause. "Yes," Lawson allowed. And added, "He prefers Dee-Santis." Whoa. So this is a giant source of great friction between Mr. Dee-Santis and Mrs. Deh-Santis, then? "I wouldn't go that far," Lawson deadpanned. The mystery lingers.

Atrain crash in India has killed 207 people and left roughly 900 injured. The Friday incident saw two passenger trains collide with a freight train in the Odisha state city of Balasore, CNN reported. The cause remains unknown as of press time, though authorities have indicated that rescue activities remain ongoing. "We are only working (at) sending additional doctors, ambulances, buses, so all those things we are doing so we have not thought of asking what happened, how it happened," State Chief Secretary Pradeep Jena told the local CNN affiliate. On Friday’s broadcast of Bloomberg’s “Sound On,” White House Council of Economic Advisers member Heather Boushey said that it is crucial that veterans and homeless people were spared the “onerous work requirements” for SNAP benefits in the debt limit and that it appears as though access to food stamps will increase on the whole, but estimates at this point are “very, both preliminary and subject to variance.” Boushey said, [relevant remarks begin around 4:30] “Listen, the important thing here is that the president focused on maintaining his priorities. And certainly, making sure that veterans have access, that homeless folks have...

National Urban League President Marc Morial said Friday on MSNBC’s “Andrea Mitchell Reports” that presidential candidate Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) is the “21st-century George Wallace.” On Fox News, DeSantis said, “We have school choice. That’s one of the reasons why our black students perform as high as just about any black students in the country. You go to Baltimore or Chicago, some of the kids are more likely to get shot than have a high-quality education. I don’t hear the NAACP talking about that.”

Governor Ron DeSantis is either getting his messaging mixed, or admitting he would be half as effective a President as Donald Trump. Trump, playing to his experience in the job, goaded the Florida governor this week, stating: “When [DeSantis] says eight years, every time I hear it, I wince… because I say, if it takes eight years to turn this around, then you don’t want him… as your president.” When told about Trump’s remarks, DeSantis snapped back: “Why didn’t he do it his first four years?” But speaking on stage in Iowa, DeSantis said: “Let’s just be clear, it really...

resident Joe Biden may have laughed off his dramatic fall at the Air Force Academy on Thursday, but for many others it was far from a joke. Republicans who usually mock the 80-year-old commander-in-chief when he stumbles said the sandbag incident was 'sad' and is proof he shouldn't be in the White House in 2024. Even Donald Trump said he hoped Biden wasn't hurt and admitted in a Fox News town hall on that he urged host Sean Hannity not to joke about the president's condition. Democrats have also been saying in private for months they are nervous about tripping...
