Politicians, hardliners have accused state-run program of promoting evangelism among Muslim youth A major interfaith council in Muslim-majority Malaysia has backed a state-run youth program involving visits to worship sites of various faiths and dismissed allegations it covertly promotes proselytizing of Muslims. In a statement, Jagir Singh, president of the Malaysian Consultative Council of Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Sikhism, and Taoism said that visits to different houses of worship must be encouraged to promote understanding, respect, and harmony, the Malay Mail reported on March 18. Singh urged the government and Islamic authorities to refrain from imposing a possible ban on Muslims...

The Department of Justice (DOJ) revealed Wednesday that a witness who Jan. 6 defendant Enrique Tarrio’s lawyer Sabino Jauregui planned to call for testimony had been an FBI informant, based on a court filing American Greatness’ Julie Kelly obtained. Jauregui said DOJ attorneys would not tell him whether two other planned witnesses were FBI informants, a hearing transcript shows. “My biggest concern is the fact that we still have confidential human sources who are unknown to us,” defendant Zachary Rehl’s lawyer Carmen Hernandez said Thursday. A Jan. 6 defendant’s lawyer said Justice Department (DOJ) attorneys would not tell him Wednesday...

A newly proposed propulsion system could theoretically beam a heavy spacecraft to outside the confines of our Solar System in less than 5 years – a feat that took the historic Voyager 1 probe 35 years to achieve. The concept, known as 'pellet-beam' propulsion, was awarded an early-stage US$175,000 NASA grant for further development earlier this year.To be clear, the concept currently doesn't exist much beyond calculations on paper, so we can't get too excited just yet.Still, it's attracted attention not only because of its potential to get us into interstellar space within a human lifetime – something that traditional, chemical-fueled...

Things just aren’t as they used to be. It was recently announced that Minnesota’s “Woman of the Year” is a man. And this is no longer an anomaly. The insanity isn’t confined to The People’s Republic of Minnesota. Rachel Lavine, aka Richard L. Lavine (but don’t call me Dick!) was honored as one of USA Today’s “Women of the Year” for 2022. Rachel, whose only apparent effort at even looking like a woman is donning a string of pearls-- and possibly curling his hair-- has also been dubbed an “admiral”…though I speculate he/she couldn’t tell a battleship from a battle...

Last summer, we looked at the collapse of the power grid in South Africa. The country which previously had the most economically stable and prosperous government in sub-Saharan Africa suffered waves of unemployment and looting as its economy buckled under the strain. They’ve managed to put together some foreign aid to apply patchwork fixes since then, but there are still rolling blackouts taking place on a regular basis. This winter, however, the power grid problems are spreading in one of the more underreported stories of the year. Zimbabwe and Nigeria are now also experiencing near-total collapses of their power grids....

A familiar tactic from within the toxic corporate media system is to push a narrative that anyone who opposes their worldview is just being divisive. This is said in order to make the victims acquiesce to the demands of the abuser. In many ways, We The People are in an abusive relationship with government. If you do not agree with the agenda as it is controlled by a small a powerful self-described elitist class, then we become the problem. The division is not determined by our definitions, the conniving and corrupt administrators of the system are the ones creating the...

The head of the Chinese diplomatic mission in Tokyo sent a request to meet Kishida in late January on the eve of his departure. However, the head of the Japanese government refused, citing a difficult work schedule. This incident is exceptional. As a general rule, the Japanese prime minister does not avoid audiences with the heads of foreign diplomatic missions before his departure from Japan. To alleviate the situation, Kong Xuanyu was received by the Japanese Foreign Minister, Yoshimasa Hayashi. According to some reports, when the Japanese ambassador in Beijing left his post and returned to Tokyo, he was not...

In the study, scientists at the University of California and researchers from Botox-makers AbbVie performed brain scans on ten women before Botox injections in the forehead and again two to three weeks later. During the scans, participants had to attempt to recognise anger and happiness on photographs of faces. Results revealed that after the Botox there was altered activity in brain...

CHOICES An elderly carpenter was about to retire. He told his employer-contractor of his plans to leave the house building business and live a more leisurely life with his extended family. He would miss the paycheck, but he needed to retire. They could get by. The contractor was very sorry to see his good worker go and asked if he could build just one more house as a personal favor. The carpenter said yes, but in time it was easy to see that his heart was not in his work. He resorted to shoddy workmanship and used inferior materials....

Florida Congressman Matt Gaetz (R) called on Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) to support Donald Trump’s 2024 presidential run.Gaetz made the comment during a speech on Saturday at a Trump rally in Waco, Texas. During his speech, the congressman credited the success of both DeSantis and Cruz to Trump because of how the former president supported them as candidates in their respective races.“Only Donald Trump could have rescued us from Hillary Clinton. Without Trump doing three rallies in the final week in the 2018 election in Florida, my governor today would probably be Andrew Gillum,”...

Representative Jamie Raskin (D-MD) said Thursday on MSNBC’s “Alex Wagner Tonight” that the Republican Party had “turned into a messianic cult of personality around” former President Donald Trump. When asked about House Republicans requesting Manhattan D.A. Alvin Bragg testify, Raskin said, “Let’s start with this, we actually have jurisdictional authority over the Department of Justice and the House Judiciary Committee. But it’s very well-established that even there, with the DOJ, where there is real jurisdictional oversight responsibility, that we cannot intervene in an ongoing case. Then you take it from the federal level to the state and local level, where we...

"Patients donned pink gowns. Cutouts of pink bras were plastered on the walls. A sign urged patients to 'fight like a girl.' 'Things like that are just incredibly disorienting for someone going into those spaces who is always being reminded, hey, this wasn’t designed for you,' Brooks said. 'You’re not really sure if you should disclose to these people that you’re trans or not.' Brooks identifies as nonbinary and transgender, but as someone who was assigned female at birth, they share similar health needs as cisgender women for gynecologic care and screenings for chest health as they age...."From "For trans...
