VATICAN CITY (AP) — Pope Francis criticized laws that criminalize homosexuality as “unjust,” saying God loves all his children just as they are and called on Catholic bishops who support the laws to welcome LGBTQ people into the church. “Being homosexual isn’t a crime,” Francis said during an exclusive interview Tuesday with The Associated Press. Francis acknowledged that Catholic bishops in some parts of the world support laws that criminalize homosexuality or discriminate against the LGBTQ community, and he himself referred to the issue in terms of “sin.” But he attributed such attitudes to cultural backgrounds, and said bishops in...

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre refused to answer questions from Fox News reporter Peter Doocy regarding President Biden’s mishandling of classified documents Tuesday. Doocy pressed the White House regarding Biden’s travel to Delaware after documents were discovered at his Wilmington home. Jean-Pierre stonewalled his questions, however, saying she refused to “go down a rabbit hole” on the topic. “After the special counsel was named, but before the FBI searched, President Biden went to his house in Wilmington. What was he doing in there?” “I would refer you to the White House Counsel’s office,” Jean-Pierre responded. “So, something relating to...

Researchers at Palo Alto, Calif.-based Stanford Medicine have developed a Theranos-like test that screens for health measures using a single drop of blood. The approach, relayed in a Jan. 19 study in Nature Biomedical Engineering, combines a finger-prick device with multiomics technologies that assess a variety of proteins, fats, metabolism byproducts, and inflammatory markers. "Even more importantly, we've shown you can collect the blood drop at home and mail it into the lab," said Michael Snyder, PhD, director of the Stanford Center for Genomics and Personalized Medicine and senior author of the study, in a Jan. 19 university news release....

Lynette Hardaway, one-half of the Trump-supporting sisters Diamond and Silk, died on Jan. 8. After much speculation, the 51-year-old’s cause of death has been revealed. According to the Associated Press, a death certificate listed her cause of death as heart disease due to chronic high blood pressure. However, there were reports that she was hospitalized in November due to COVID, which her sister Rochelle Hardaway, also known as Silk, denied. A Nov. 26 tweet from Diamond and Silk’s official Twitter account read, “Anyone who believes in the power of prayer please pray for Diamond.” At a Saturday (Jan. 21) memorial...

Diamond, one of the two sisters in the Diamond and Silk duo, passed away earlier this month and was recently mourned at a funeral that Silk claimed former President Donald Trump offered to pay for. Now the facts have come out about from what Diamond died, with the AP reporting that heart disease was ruled the cause of death for Diamond. As that outlet reported: Lynette Hardaway, a zealous supporter of former President Donald Trump whose death had prompted widespread speculation over its cause, died earlier this month of a heart condition, according to a death certificate obtained Monday by...

Look for news coming out about the Darien Gap mass migration-migration route through Panama. I was just down there for two weeks with some really fine men, and it was quite eye-opening and informative. The others are still down there on their mission, so I can't provide a lot of details at this point. Ben Berquam, Oscar Blue and Michael Yon will be on Bannon War Room when they are available to make reports.

I have so far avoided weighing in on the Biden and Trump classified documents scandals, but I guess the time has finally come. I’ve had a “Secret” clearance in my life, and almost all of the “classified” documents I have seen have been of very underwhelming significance. So when the Trump classified document thing blew up with the FBI raid of Mar-a-Lago back in August, I was not impressed. It reeked of something highly likely to be completely devoid of real world significance, but useful to Biden and the left because Trump would be put in a position of not...

Justin Bieber has sold all his peaches. The 28 year old pop star becomes the youngest of all music performers to sell the entire rights to his songs. The buyer is Hipgnosis, the very hot firm that has bought out catalogs of much older stars for more money and with more material. Universal Music Group will own Bieber’s master recordings. But all the songs like “Peaches” and “”Love Yourself” will be owned by Hipgnosis, including parts of songs he wrote with other people. The price is $200 million, which after taxes and paying all the lawyers involved, and maintaining Bieber’s...

Cultural neutrality is a dangerous lie — and it never existedOne of the more encouraging phenomena over the last few years has been the growing awareness around the radical progressive indoctrination of children and young people in the United States. In some ways it was impossible to avoid, as woke propaganda became the default message of every movie, television show, book, and video game. When every corporation and sports team is wrapping its logo in a rainbow flag, the message is not exactly subtle. Individuals like Chris Rufo or Chaya Raichik, owner of the Libs of Tik Tok Twitter account,...

WASHINGTON — Efforts to mitigate climate change are prompting countries across the world to embrace dramatically different policies toward industry and trade, bringing governments into conflict. These new clashes over climate policy are straining international alliances and the global trading system, hinting at a future in which policies aimed at staving off environmental catastrophe could also result in more frequent cross-border trade wars. “The climate crisis requires economic transformation at a scale and speed humanity has never attempted in our 5,000 years of written history,” said Todd N. Tucker, the director of industrial policy and trade at the Roosevelt Institute,...

Pray For The Peace of JerusalemMatthew 28Jesus Has Risen 28 After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb. 2 There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it. 3 His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow. 4 The guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men. 5 The angel said to the women, “Do...

BLOOD clotting is a normal response to injury. Sometimes, however, it can lead to cramps, pain and swelling, and if it enters the circulatory system, it can be fatal. In a small study, one popular breakfast food has been linked to the condition.

They think they are being clever. But they aren't. This week, Democrats in states across America — Washington, California, and New York in particular — are proposing wealth taxes modeled after the federal wealth tax originally proposed by Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA). These taxes are nothing like the taxes you are used to. Instead of taxing a stream of income — the sensible, rational way to raise money for government, from available income streams — they focus on wealthy people and attempt to take a portion off the top of their overall net worth each year. They do not care...

Explanation: To some, the dark shape looks like a mythical boogeyman. Scientifically, Lynds' Dark Nebula (LDN) 1622 appears against a faint background of glowing hydrogen gas only visible in long telescopic exposures of the region. In contrast, the brighter reflection nebula vdB 62 is more easily seen just above and to the right of center in the featured image. LDN 1622 lies near the plane of our Milky Way Galaxy, close on the sky to Barnard's Loop, a large cloud surrounding the rich complex of emission nebulae found in the Belt and Sword of Orion. With swept-back outlines, the obscuring...

Scott Rolen, longtime favorite of sabermetricians, voted in by a close margin. I was skeptical of his candidacy at first, never thought he was really one of the great players of his era. But closer examination of his stats has convinced me he was deserving. Third base is a bit underrepresented in the Hall of Fame, I think.

North Korea has ordered a five-day lockdown in the capital over "respiratory illness", a report said Wednesday, in what appears to be the first citywide restrictions since the country declared victory over Covid-19 in August 2022. Residents of Pyongyang have been ordered to stay in their homes from Wednesday to Sunday and must submit to multiple temperature checks each day, Seoul-based specialist site NK News reported, citing a government notice. The notice did not mention Covid but said that the illnesses currently spreading in the capital included the common cold, the report said. The government order comes a day after...

(Daily readings from the USCCB)“Saul, my brother, the Lord has sent me, Jesus who appeared to you on the way by which you came, that you may regain your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit.” Acts 9:17Saint Paul (who in Hebrew was known as Saul of Tarsus) was a devout Jewish Pharisee who vigorously defended the law. After Jesus’ Ascension into Heaven, the newfound Christian faith began to grow rapidly. As a result, Saul of Tarsus vigorously tried to end this new religion which he perceived as erroneous. He traveled about looking for followers of Jesus to arrest...

If your Hyundai or Kia uses a physical ignition key, it can be stolen with relative ease. As we've reported, a USB cable is all that's necessary to get away with a new car. It's a costly problem for police in cities such as Columbus, Ohio, and Denver. Insurers in these regions and others have now had enough. Insurance giants State Farm and Progressive are now refusing to insure many vehicles sold by the two Korean auto brands in those cities and others now. In a statement to The Drive, Progressive confirmed that it was no longer issuing new insurance...
