Two men who went missing under the ice of Wyoming’s Keyhole Reservoir on Thursday while attempting to assist a rescue mission have been found deceased, according to the Crook County Sheriff’s office. “Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families and the Pine Haven community,” the Crook County Sheriff’s Office said in a Sunday statement. A man had fallen into the ice on Keyhole Reservoir while on a UTV Thursday, but he made it out of the water alive. During that time, however, three more “local citizens” drove onto the ice in another UTV and fell through the ice...

Governments have learnt that fear works – and that is truly terrifying We have returned to the world of Galileo vs the Vatican. Scientific dissidents are again silenced and ostracised for their opinions As the year in which life officially returned to normal comes to an end, we must ask an uncomfortable question. What on earth just happened? We have lived through a period of what would once have been the unthinkable suspension of basic freedoms: interventions by the state into personal life that even most totalitarian governments would not have dared to impose. And we, along with most (not...

The HTMS Sukhothai sank after water flooded its power controls on Sunday night. Images shared by the navy showed some crew who survived in a life raft. On Monday, authorities said they had rescued 75 sailors, but 31 were still missing in rough seas. Officials said the ship went down after it took on water, which flooded its hull and short-circuited its power room. With the power lost, the crew battled to retain control of the ship which listed on to its side before sinking around 23:30 local time Sunday (16:30 GMT). The ship had been on a patrol 32km...

This list only includes destroyed vehicles and equipment of which photo or videographic evidence is available. Therefore, the amount of equipment destroyed is significantly higher than recorded here. Small arms, ATGMs, MANPADS, loitering munitions, drones used as unmanned bait, civilian vehicles, trailers and derelict equipment are not included in this list. All possible effort has gone into avoiding duplicate entries and discerning the status of equipment between captured or abandoned. Many of the entries listed as 'abandoned' will likely end up captured or destroyed. Similarly, some of the captured equipment might be destroyed if it can't be recovered. When the...

From October 2-4, 2020, the American Institute for Economic Research hosted a small conference for scientists to discuss the Covid-19 lockdowns. Just four days later, Dr. Francis Collins, the retiring Director of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), would call the three of the scientists in attendance “fringe epidemiologists,” in a directive he sent to Anthony Fauci and other senior staff of his agency. They were “fringe epidemiologists” because they had the temerity to ask whether the lockdowns of 2020 were effective. Those three, Martin Kulldorff of Harvard, Sunetra Gupta of Oxford, and Jay Bhattacharya of Stanford were simply doing...

Donald Trump — meet Kyrsten Sinema. Sen. Sinema (I-Ariz.) recently departed the Democratic Party to become an independent. If Trump follows her lead and runs for president as an independent he instantly launches the most consequential third-party candidacy in American history. Think about it. Polls now show GOP voters increasingly rejecting the disgraced ex-president as the party’s 2024 nominee. If Republicans turn on him, is there any doubt the notoriously thin-skinned Trump will soon start threatening a run as an independent to spite his former party? A third-party platform allows him to stay in the media spotlight and continue to...

U.S. Capitol Police Officer Caroline Edwards said in a new op-ed that it “physically hurts” to talk about the Capitol riot, adding that the House Jan. 6 select committee issuing its report this week represents “nothing final.” Edwards, who was injured in the attack last year and testified publicly this summer before the House panel, said in The New York Times that it could take years for her and other officers to find peace after being traumatized during the rioting. “Many Americans think that the saga of the Capitol riot will soon be at its end,” Edwards said in the...

(Daily readings from the USCCB)“I am Gabriel, who stand before God. I was sent to speak to you and to announce to you this good news. But now you will be speechless and unable to talk until the day these things take place, because you did not believe my words, which will be fulfilled at their proper time.” Luke 1:19–20Imagine if the Archangel Gabriel appeared to you. What would that have been like? This particular Archangel stands before the incomprehensible beauty and splendor of the Most Holy Trinity and brings forth messages of the greatest importance. Gabriel is God’s most...

House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy is pivoting to more aggressive tactics to buoy his bid for speaker — beginning with 54 defiant "Kevin Only" statements of unqualified support, provided first to Axios. The big picture: Some of them say they're a hard "no" on anyone besides McCarthy — and won't vote for anyone else on the first ballot or the 100th ballot. Why it matters: McCarthy allies are trying to capitalize on growing GOP frustration with five House Republicans holdouts who, if they stuck together, could deny him the gavel. "Kevin gave them an opportunity to negotiate in good faith,"...

The Democrats’ January 6 Committee will conclude its “investigation” on Monday by asking the Department of Justice (DOJ) to prosecute former President Donald Trump, though the committee lacks constitutional authority to do so. Congressional committees must be organized for a legislative purpose, not as part of a law enforcement action, which is a function of the executive branch under the separation of power in the Constitution. Nevertheless, the January 6 Committee — in what is expected to be its final act before a Republican-led House takes over next month — is expected to ask the DOJ to prosecute Trump for...

President Joe Biden shared a story Friday of conversations he had with his father and uncle when he was elected vice president, although both were dead at the time he claimed he had the exchanges. The president made remarks about his family history during a town hall event for veterans in Delaware. He said: You know, I — my dad, when I got elected vice president, he said, ‘Joey, Uncle Frank fought in the Battle of the Bulge.’ He was not feeling very well now — not because of the Battle of the Bulge. But he said, ‘And he won...

The sad reality is that the President of the United States, Joe Biden, is a pathological liar. This is not a new personality trait for our Commander-in-Chief, but a characteristic that has been apparent throughout his 52-year political career. Biden has been telling lies, including massive untruths, for decades. It is a major reason he had to exit the 1988 presidential campaign. He lied about his law school grades and plagiarized speeches from United Kingdom Labor Party leader Neil Kinnock. Regularly, Biden lies about his childhood, his family, his academic career, and his record as a politician. Does anyone really...

The highest interest rates in 15 years are delaying home dreams, putting business plans on ice and forcing many Americans to agree to loan terms that would have been unimaginable just nine months ago. Biden’s anti-fossil fuel policies are helping drive up prices and The Federal Reserve is hiking rates to cool it off. Most of all, the surge in borrowing costs is punishing the cash-poor. And it’s about to get worse as the Federal Reserve carries on with its anti-inflation campaign and keeps hiking rates next year. As the Fed’s most aggressive interest-rate hike cycle in a generation filters...

Recently, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen carelessly revealed the devastating cost of the Ukraine war. “It is estimated that more than 20,000 civilians and 100,000 Ukrainian military personnel have died to date,” she said. The comment drew sharp backlash and the E.C. later deleted the comments from video recordings of the address. The censorship was left unexplained and demonstrated the confusion of the purveyors of the approved narrative. If Von der Leyen’s estimate is true, that is nearly ten times the number of dead Ukrainian soldiers reported by the Ukrainian government. The E.C. president’s remark shows that even...

Much of the United States will either get a White Christmas or a bitterly cold one, as the forecasts for the country see snowstorms and temperatures in the deep south as low as the 20s. Forecasters are warning of treacherous holiday travel and life-threatening cold for much of the nation as an arctic air mass blows into the already-frigid southern United States, with experts predicting the 'coldest Christmas in years.' The coming week has the potential for 'the coldest air of the season' as the strong arctic front marches across the eastern two-thirds of the country in the days before...

VIDEO AT LINK.............. PHILADELPHIA (KYW) - Some dark chocolates have been found to contain potentially dangerous amounts of heavy metals. Dark chocolate, loaded with antioxidants, is often called healthier chocolate. But a new study from Consumer Reports said some kinds of dark chocolate contain potentially dangerous amounts of heavy metals. https://www.consumerreports.org/health/food-safety/lead-and-cadmium-in-dark-chocolate-a8480295550/ “All of the samples that we tested had detectable levels of either cadmium or lead,” said James Rogers of Consumer Reports. Rogers said 23 of the 28 samples tested exceeded the safety levels used in the study. The study shared that cadmium found in soil, can infiltrate coco plants...

Promises of war and big profits show us how efficient Washington can be. During his farewell speech on Jan. 17, 1961, President Dwight Eisenhower delivered a dire warning about a grave threat to U.S. democracy. The following is a key excerpt from that address: In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists, and will persist. The military-industrial complex is an unholy alliance among war profiteers that includes elected leaders, top bureaucrats, defense contractors, the armed forces, international...

NATIONAL HARD CANDY DAY A favorite of young and old alike, National Hard Candy Day on December 19th, recognizes the sweet tooth in all of us. #HardCandyDay Most hard candies are 100% sugar with flavoring and colors added. To achieve a hard candy, confectioners boil a sugar syrup to 320 degrees Fahrenheit. Once the temperature is reached, the hot, pliable sugar is poured into molds or rolled and folded into shapes and left to cool. Once cool, solid sugar becomes hardened and brittle. The first hard candies, such as lemon drops and peppermints, were likely prescribed as a remedy for...
