Talk of stakeholder capitalism is now everywhere. It’s the theme of the Davos Manifesto 2020 announced last month by Klaus Schwab... It’s also the new mantra of the Business Round Table as announced in August 2019 and endorsed by almost 200 CEOs of the largest corporations. “The statement rejects the whole idea of ‘maximizing’ one value to the exclusion of all the others,” as Steve Pearlstein in the Washington Post notes. “Instead, it acknowledges the need for balance and compromise in serving all of a company’s stakeholders.” *snip* As the critique of MSV came to dominate the political conversation in...

Reports from the river stations note several deaths from exposure during the past forty-eight hours. HEADQUARTERS, Monday, Dec. 8. Large quantities of supplies are prevented from landing at Aquia and Potomac Creeks by low water and ice. The latter is fully two inches thick. Notwithstanding this, the army generally is provisioned for twelve days ahead. Credit is due to the army Quartermasters and Commissaries for their energy in overcoming great obstacles and massing the supplies now on hand. There have been no movements of importance today. Many regiments are industriously engaged in erecting huts, as if preparing to spend the...

Who successfully sought a “revolution” in Washington—a bunch of random dudes in Michigan or the most powerful law enforcement agency in the world? To hear the government tell it, a homeless guy who lived in the dilapidated basement of a vacuum repair shop with no running water is as much a danger to society as was Timothy McVeigh and the Tsarnaev brothers. Adam Fox, according to the U.S. attorney for the Western District of Michigan, should spend the rest of his life in prison for conspiring to kidnap Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer in 2020. After a jury could not reach...

Without quick action, environmental, social, and governance (ESG) scoring frameworks will become hopelessly embedded in our daily lives, and the people who push ESG don’t give a hoot about our well-being. To those still unfamiliar with the ESG movement, it is, at its core, a mechanism by “which a cabal of ideologically aligned influential interests working through unelected supranational organizations are attempting to ‘reset’ the global financial system to their advantage.” Circumventing national sovereignty, free markets, and individual rights, global government organizations, the embedded bureaucrats staffing them, and the governments that fund and compose their membership are working with international...

Climate lockdowns incoming: only “three years” to flatten the emissions curve. The writing was on the wall as soon as the “experts” declared “two weeks to flatten the curve.” Some of us saw right through the scheme, while the less-astute did not. We recognized the move was one against freedom and prosperity rather than for our welfare, and knew it was not only for two weeks. We knew that if the ruling class was allowed to follow through with their “lockdown” agenda — the forced closure of private businesses, dictating who was “essential” and who was “non-essential” — then greater...

The reason why I'm asking is that I saw a picture of Sam Bankman-Fried, while being interviewed. He was asked about the shifting of FTX deposits and he made what can only be described as a demonically possessed face. The same kind of face that Peter Strozk made when he was being grilled in Congress. So it makes me wonder just how many Congressmen and Deep State operatives are demonically possessed, or at least influenced? I'd post the pic, but it's from Facebook and I can't find a copy of it on the internet in general. I'd be happy to...

Medics treating protesters in Iran said they were seeing a difference in the type of injuries inflicted on men and women by the security forces — with the female activists often being shot in their faces, breasts and genitals.. multiple doctors and nurses who have been surreptitiously caring for wounded demonstrators during months of unrest said it appeared that officers tasked with stopping the protests have been targeting specific body parts in women. One doctor from Isfahan province speaking to the outlet on condition of anonymity said he believed the authorities “wanted to destroy the beauty of these women.” Iran...

Iran was slapped with fresh sanctions Friday after carrying out its first execution over demonstrations that have shaken the regime for nearly three months, as activists called for fresh protests. Mohsen Shekari, 23, was hanged Thursday after being found guilty of "moharebeh", or "enmity against God", (except).. (excerpt)The judiciary said Shekari was arrested after blocking a Tehran street and striking a member of the Basij paramilitary force linked to the powerful Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps with a machete -- a wound that required 13 stitches

Chinese President Xi Jinping signed a raft of deals with Saudi officials during a three-day visit to Riyadh as Beijing seeks to shore up its Covid-hit economy and as the Saudis, long-term US allies, push to diversify their economic and political alliances. The two countries reaffirmed the significance of stability in global oil markets and the Saudi role in that, a joint statement said on Friday, the third day of Xi's visit to the Gulf kingdom. Every extreme policy push in America of the last five years overlaps with the objectives and people of the World Economic Forum. In the 1870s, the term “robber baron” was first used to describe an exploitative class of industrialists who utilized their wealth to create monopolies of resources and amass control in the fledgling United States. The name describes an illegitimate aristocracy of unelected plutocrats. John D. Rockefeller, Cornelius Vanderbilt, Andrew Carnegie; all American industrial royalty whose names line the streets of America and the pages of our history books. One hundred fifty years later, we face a new global...

On July 22, 2022, Governor Gavin Newsom signed into law California Senate bill 1327. The bill applied fee-shifting in cases where civil rights litigants filed lawsuits challenging California firearms law. In essence, if the plaintiffs filing the lawsuit did not win every part of a case against the state, the plaintiffs would be required to pay all the State’s costs. In the unlikely case where the plaintiffs won every part of their suit, they are not awarded any costs they have incurred. On September 26, 2022, a number of plaintiffs filed suit against the state, claiming the bill violates the...

Arizona Sen. KYRSTEN SINEMA is changing her party affiliation to independent, delivering a jolt to Democrats’ narrow majority and Washington along with it. “In a 45-minute interview, the first-term senator told POLITICO that she will not caucus with Republicans and suggested that she intends to vote the same way she has for four years in the Senate. ‘Nothing will change about my values or my behavior,’ she said. “Provided that Sinema sticks to that vow, Democrats will still have a workable Senate majority in the next Congress, though it will not exactly be the neat and tidy 51 seats they...

The new six-month program will allow police to place speed cameras in school and work zones. A total of 10 cameras will be put up. The program will cost $200,000, and if successful, it will be extended. “There’s one reason why we’re doing this and that is to save lives,” Board of Supervisors Chairman Jeffrey McKay said.
