According to Jesus, she did! So how can that be? This Gospel passage reveals to us how God sees our giving compared to...

Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York criticized Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert of Colorado, an outspoken gun-rights advocate, due to a shooting at a Colorado Springs bar. Turnabout is generally considered fair play: what you do to me, I can do to you. This form of equality is about to play out in Washington, both in legislation and investigation. With the GOP taking control of the House of Representatives, talking heads have begun warning that a small faction such as the Freedom Caucus will force its agenda on new House Speaker Kevin McCarthy and the bulk of establishment Republicans. Americans have seen similar events play out over the past two years. A small segment of the Democrat party – the four-member “squad” – has dominated policy decisions...

The gunman who allegedly killed five people at a Colorado LGBTQ club is reportedly the grandson of a Republican California lawmaker who compared the Jan. 6 attack on the US Capitol to the Revolutionary War. Accused gunman Anderson Lee Aldrich’s mother has been identified by multiple news outlets as Laura Voepel, whose father is Randy Voepel, 71, a state assemblyman who lost his seat in the midterm elections, the San Diego Union-Tribune reported. The politician, who has represented the 71st District since 2016, was assailed last year when he compared the Jan. 6 insurrection to the American Revolutionary War. “This...

President Joe Biden, fresh from a surprisingly good November election for his fellow Democrats, has redoubled his commitment to rid the world of natural fuels (oil, gas, coal) and impose an all-electric universe powered in large part by offshore wind farms. To that end, Biden recently announced massive wind lease areas offshore from Lake Charles, Louisiana, and Galveston, Texas. One is a 188,023-acre tract located 56 miles offshore from Lake Charles; the other is a 508,265-acre tract 24 nautical miles offshore from Galveston. While Louisiana’s Democrat Governor John Bel Edwards is ebullient about the economic prospects for offshore wind, his...

A bartender at Club Q in Colorado Springs, Colo., said early Monday that he believes the gunman who committed a mass shooting there over the weekend was targeting the LGBTQ community. During an appearance on “CNN This Morning,” Michael Anderson noted that the gunman came to one of only two gay clubs in the city. “I don’t know what was wrong with this man,” Anderson said. “I don’t know why he needed to act in this way, but he obviously had some some feelings towards — I don’t know if it was transgender people, gays, lesbians, I don’t know —...

Some building owners, mainly in New York City, are clamping down on electric bicycles after a recent spate of damaging and deadly battery fires. Why it matters: E-bikes are surging in popularity, but the benefits they bring — lower emissions, easy transportation — are threatened by the growing toll of injuries and deaths from blazes sparked by their lithium-ion batteries. E-bike advocates link the problems to batteries that are poorly made, refurbished or improperly charged. New York has seen "an exponential increase" in battery fires this year, Daniel Flynn, chief fire marshal at the New York City Fire Department (FDNY),...

There are three government narratives pushed today that are not real: (1) fraud-free elections, (2) a looming climate apocalypse, and (3) a COVID health emergency requiring total government control. If you see through only one, then you're not looking hard enough. Or as Bill Engvall might say, "If you now believe COVID is mostly a hoax but are still terrified of global warming, here's your sign." Conversely, if you do see through them, you're likely being censored for expressing those points of view. Here's our impasse: when governments claim to have a monopoly on truth, then citizens are expected to...

I admit it. I am not a complete cynic. Like Don Quixote, I am tilting at windmills. The unfolding scandal, fraud of the collapse of FTX, is not just some minor financial disaster. This is global and is going to ensnare many seemingly smart people who mistakenly believed that if you engaged in cyber currency transactions you could hide from law enforcement. Whoops!! They apparently did not take the time to understand block chain. The security of block chain will be their undoing. I want to direct you to some articles that you should read if you want to understand...
