20 Nov: LAST CHANCE. Culmination of the FOREST BATTLE in Luhansk | War in Ukraine Explained
Youtube ^ | Nov 21, 2022 | Reporting from Ukraine

Day 270: November 20

The Ukrainian Head of the Luhansk region stated that Russian forces are transferring the remnants of the Russian airborne units from the west bank of the Kherson region to the Luhansk region. Ukrainian General Staff already reported the increased concentration of Russian personnel in Luhansk, and many analysts agree that these forces will be allocated to the area where the Russians are suffering the highest losses in this region – the Kuzemivka area.

Here, the Ukrainians are assuming their positions in Novoselivka, while the Russians are still maintaining substantial control over Kuzemivka. Taking control over this small and seemingly insignificant village allowed the Ukrainians to change the situation in this region almost completely.

If we look at the topographic map, we can see that Novoselivske is one of the highest points in this region. What makes the situation for the Russians even worse is that the drop-off in altitude when you step into Kuzemivka is tremendous. The altitude decreases by around 50 meters every 500 meters. So, the central part of Kuzemivka is only 1 km away from the Ukrainian positions and 100 meters below them. If we look at the 3D map, we can get a sense of how significant is the change in elevation. This is the main reason why all Russian attempts to retake Novoselivka ended up with devastating defeats and losses.

“Novoselivka ended up with devastating defeats and losses.”

Unfounded assertion.
Link to actual data confirming such?

The Russians had to abandon Kherson because they didn’t have the men to hold on both that front and in Luhansk and were steadily being pushed back on both.

The decision was to abandon the south and redeploy those troops to save the north.

The problem for the Russians is that the Ukrainian armies fighting on the Kherson front are also now freed up. They could also go to Luhansk, or perhaps show up somewhere Russia isn’t expecting.

I’m sure the Russians were forced to retreat from Novoselivka after losing to the Ukrainians in a tennis match.

That is how war works right?

“Sure” based upon what?

A Youtuber asserting such in a YouTube video?

You know, I listen to a lot of Youtubers, Rumble folks, etc. and virtually all of them back up their assertions or claims with proof or readily available and found proof.

I daily visit a lot of Russian social media sites to obtain information that WONT BE FOUND from the West/UK/US/EU/NATO propaganda media.

Not a one of the above have even remotely mentioned anything about Novoselivka .... not even TASS, RT, etc.

Moose and Squirrel are assuming their positions in Frostbite Falls, while the Boris and Natasha are still maintaining substantial control over Pottsylvania. In the meantime Fearless Leader continues to take in over 50% more revenue than last year from energy, fertilizer, and grain exports ensuring that this conflict will continue into perpetuity regardless of the wishful thinking provided by propagandists.

I don’t know hew important taking Svatove is at present for Ukraine. The Ukies have been focusing on counter attacking in areas furthest from Russian supply lines. Counter attacking to regain ground in the Northern Luhansk region is right on the Russian border and could lead to creating a Ukie salient that is open to a Russian counter attack. I would think that this would be the last area that Ukraine attempts to liberate, unless it is left undefended. Pushing the Russians out of Southern Kherson, Zaporizhia regions is more logical, if not obvious.

🤡🤡🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🇺🇦🇺🇦Zelensky again called on Western countries to accept Ukraine into NATO and the EU:

“You all see how significant Ukraine’s contribution to the protection of our community is, you all see how important it is that we really united after February 24th. Therefore, thanks to this, you also see that Ukraine should become a full member of the EU and NATO. I urge you to support our bids for EU and alliance membership,” Zelenskyj said on Monday, speaking by video link at a meeting of the alliance’s parliamentary assembly in Madrid.🤦‍♀️🤡🤡

🔥Apparently Zelebova🤡 lives in another dimension to express these things.

As Dmitry Medvedev said:

1. Everyone is sick and tired of the Kiev regime. Especially the neurotic Zelensky ,who is constantly inflaming passions, whining, bawling, and extorting more and more handouts in money and arms. He behaves like a hysterical child with developmental problems.

ZelenskyyIdiot has long been in desperation mode.

And unfortunately for all of us, his desperation comes with possible global ramifications and/or consequences, as exhibited by his continued insistence that it was not a Ukrainian S-300 that hit and killed two people in Poland.

The Russians didn't abandon the south - just that portion north/west of the Dnipro.

I think the most likely focus for those Ukrainian troops freed from the Kherson offensive is in Zaporizhzhia, directed south. Ultimate goal would be to sever the main east/west MSR by taking or isolating Melitopol.

Exactly. An opposed crossing of the Dnipro isn't practical, so it's going to be in Zaporizhzhia. Quite sure the Russians can read a map too, though, so it won't be easy.

It's so obvious the Ukies may try crossing the Dnieper somewhere as either a feint, or to establish another front, or to liberate Enerhodar. The Europeans did give the Ukies some gun boats which could be used in such an effort. They also would need to have at least local air superiority for such an effort. If they have the ability, the Ukies may try to surprise Ivan somehow rather then attack into the teeth of establish defensive fortifications. Of course, as it gets colder the Dneiper, or at least low swamp areas will freeze. That may present other military options.

A major supply hub.

The Ukies don't have to take Svatove, just deny the Ruskies use of those supply lines by artillery fire, destroying rail lines and bridges, etc.
