Comedian and commentator Russell Brand roasted Hillary Clinton and other liberals on Tuesday for tarring people they don’t agree with as “Nazis” and “fascists.” In a new YouTube video posted to his channel, Brand spoke about Hillary Clinton’s appearance at the Texas Tribune Festival in Austin, where she compared a Trump rally in Ohio where his supporters raised index fingers in salute to the Roman salutes at rallies in Nazi Germany. “Hillary Clinton has called Trump supporters Nazis, but she has declared that she admires that new Italian leader who the left say is a ‘fascist,’ and also, though, aren’t...

The White House has not seen any new intelligence to indicate there is an imminent threat of Russia using nuclear weapons, even as President Biden warned that the rhetoric coming from Moscow put the world at its greatest nuclear risk since the Cuban Missile Crisis. “We have not seen any reason to adjust our own strategic nuclear posture, nor do we have indications that Russia is preparing to imminently use nuclear weapons,” press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre told reporters aboard Air Force One.

Indiana police described the crime as an “unprovoked and senseless” murder. University police have confirmed with WTHR that Chheda was online gaming with pals the night he died. Gov. Larry Hogan, who is eyeing a run for the White House, is in the nation’s first primary state — again. Hogan appeared at Politics & Eggs on Thursday morning, a popular stop for presidential hopefuls at St. Anselm College in New Hampshire, and was later scheduled to meet with police officers and home builders before stumping for a conservative state senate candidate who rejects covid-19 mandates, opposes transgender rights and who once tweeted questioning the legitimacy of Joe Biden’s victory over President Donald Trump. Hogan’s visits to Massachusetts (he spoke at Harvard and attended an event with Republican Gov....

Powerful Warrior Angels By JAG October 7, 2022 I heard this story: There was a Christian woman who was walking to her car in a lonely parking lot late in the evening. Suddenly three evil looking men stepped out from behind cars where they had been hiding. The three men started walking toward her. She could tell by looking at them that they intended to harm her. She froze. Yet she felt peace in her heart believing that the Lord would protect her. The three men kept walking toward her and when they got about 15 feet from her, suddenly...

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy urged world leaders to act and stop Russian President Vladimir Putin as he warns that Moscow has begun preparations for the possible use of nuclear weapons. "They begin to prepare their society," Zelenskyy said during a BBC interview at the presidential palace in Kyiv. "That's very dangerous. They are not ready to do it, to use it, but they begin to communicate." "They don't know whether they'll use or not use it," he stressed. "I think it's dangerous to even speak about it."

…. Putin's more than 22 years as a mob boss running a mafia state from Moscow have seen him descend from reformer and uneasy ally to tyrant and global pariah. Once upon a time he was pictured posing outside Downing Street with Tony Blair and riding in a golf cart with US President George W. Bush. But now paranoid and delusional Vlad remains holed up in the bubble-like environment of the Kremlin as he turns 70. Furiously ranting about the West in rambling speeches and wildly swinging his nuclear sabre, Putin's long cultivated image as a cold and calculating strongman...

Rep. Brad Schneider (D-IL) is leading a push to censure controversial Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) over a tweet likening President Joe Biden to Adolf Hitler. Schneider previously weighed introducing a resolution to condemn her over controversial remarks that were perceived as antisemitic by many within Congress last year but ultimately refrained after the Georgia Republican apologized for her comments. But a video Greene posted to social media that altered Biden's appearance to show him with a mustache and swastikas behind him sparked the Illinois Democrat to move forward with introducing the measure on Thursday, the Washington Post reported. “I...

A conservative Las Vegas-based gun-rights organization successfully convinced the U.S. Supreme Court to put guns in the hands of criminals who were previously convicted of gun crimes. We’ll rephrase that to make sure we’re being clear. Despite decades of rhetoric about responsible gun ownership, making our streets safe, holding criminals accountable for their individual actions and the need to keep guns out of the hands of convicted criminals, conservative gun rights advocates based right here in Las Vegas successfully vacated a decision by a lower court upholding a Massachusetts law that restricted criminals convicted of a gun-related crime from purchasing...

None of the major parties involved in this conflict want nuclear armageddon via WWIII. A continually unhinged Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has spent the past year trying to draw NATO powers into direct conflict with Russia, and he has yet to achieve success, despite many attempts to do so. While the rhetoric between D.C., Brussels, and Moscow has certainly become more fiery, the kinetic pieces on the geopolitical chessboard have remained steadily in place, because the major parties to the conflict do not want to witness World War III breaking out. On Thursday, Zelensky ramped up the rhetoric even further,...

I've recently been contemplating selling my plasma at one of the various plasma centers in my large city. I need advise from FReepers who have either done this or are familiar with the industry. Good idea? What are the pros and/or cons? Any advice on plasma companies to avoid? What is a good compensation rate? I'm not doing so out of desperation, just would like some more ammo money in my pockets, and for some other savings goals.
