A new report has identified at least 20 Major League Baseball (MLB) teams that have directly or indirectly lent support for child gender “transitions.” One of those teams is the Minnesota Twins. According to National Review, the Twins are one of six MLB teams which have “partnered with organizations that advocate, promote, or lobby for youth gender transitions in public policy” as part of their “Pride Night” games. The Twins used their July 15 “Pride Night” game against the Chicago White Sox to donate a portion of each ticket sale to support Twin Cities Pride, an organization known to hold...

We all had to make adjustments as the coronavirus pandemic unfolded – even zoo animals who were suddenly not seeing crowds of visitors pass by every single day. A new study shows how primates reacted to that shift. The research looked at bonobos, chimpanzees, western lowland gorillas and olive baboons, finding that these animals changed their habits in a variety of ways, including the amount of time they spent resting and eating. Visitor interactions are thought to be crucial to the welfare of zoo animals. Yet these interactions have the potential to be either positive or negative. So the researchers...

Recently filed court documents reveal that in March 2020, Facebook founder and Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg gave NIAID Director Anthony Fauci his personal cell phone number, just before the social media platform began censoring alleged COVID-19 misinformation. The attorneys general of Louisiana and Missouri are suing the Biden administration regarding such censorship during the pandemic, and the revelation came during the discovery phase. The lawsuit states the following: The First Amended Complaint includes extensive allegations about Dr. Fauci and his communications with social-media companies like Meta. And the discovery produced so far raises the concern that there may be responsive...

Ever wonder why Canadians are so good at ice fishing? Well, it's all about locating where the fish are hiding under all that ice. Leave it those crazy Canucks to know all the tricks. While I believe these guys are crazy, makes me wonder if I'm the only one looking forward to some cooler weather?

I stopped in a local antique shop over the weekend. The owner is retiring and trying to clear out as much as she can before they close the doors so I paid a mere $3 for the Life magazine above. I think it might be worth many multiples of that price for investors who think our situation today is somehow uniquely bad. The cover headline could just as easily be describing today as 1970. The year 1970 was a tough one for America. Inflation averaged around 6% that year, although it had already peaked by the time of this Life...

Former Attorney General Bill Bar claims the Department of Justice is “getting very close” to gathering enough evidence to indict former President Donald Trump for keeping classified documents at his Florida home. Prosecutors must decide whether they can “make a technical case” against Trump and sufficient evidence to justify an indictment, Bar told Fox News on Wednesday. “As I’ve said all along, there are two questions,” the ex-AG said. “Will the government be able to make out a technical case? Will they have evidence by which they could indict somebody on, including him? “That’s the first question, and I think...

The longest-serving monarch in the history of the United Kingdom and the second-longest-serving monarch in history has passed away. Queen Elizabeth II was 96. The palace announced that the queen “died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon.” At her birth, Elizabeth was third in line to the throne, behind her uncle Edward and her father. When her uncle, King Edward VIII, abdicated the throne in 1936, her father became King George VI. From an early age, Elizabeth dedicated herself to a life of service, making speeches as a teenager and serving an honorary role in the Auxiliary Territorial Service during World...

No matter what your views are on the Monarchy of the UK or monarchy in general, Queen Elizabeth II was an absolutely incredible human being and I truly believe this planet was a better place with her in it. Being royalty does not make you better or worse than anyone else… …but this particular Queen was someone who deserved our admiration. I am really sad we’ve lost her. Humanity does not have many people left to show us what dignity and grace—-in the face of all things—-really look like.

Explanation: Fans of our fair planet might recognize the outlines of these cosmic clouds. On the left, bright emission outlined by dark, obscuring dust lanes seems to trace a continental shape, lending the popular name North America Nebula to the emission region cataloged as NGC 7000. To the right, just off the North America Nebula's east coast, is IC 5070, whose avian profile suggests the Pelican Nebula. The two bright nebulae are about 1,500 light-years away, part of the same large and complex star forming region, almost as nearby as the better-known Orion Nebula. At that distance, the 3 degree...

Two antibodies that neutralize all known strains of COVID-19 – including Omicron – with up to 95% efficiency have been isolated by researchers. There is the possibility that these antibody treatments may make repeated booster shots for new variants unnecessary. Tel Aviv University scientists have isolated two antibodies that neutralize all known strains of COVID-19 – including Omicron – with up to 95% efficiency. The researchers: Targeted treatment with antibodies and their delivery to the body in high concentrations may serve as an effective substitute for vaccines, especially for at-risk populations such as those with weakened immune systems. By using...

MEXICO CITY (AP) — Mexico’s state-owned Petroleos Mexicanos oil company acknowledged Thursday it released a huge plume of methane, a potent greenhouse gas, in the Gulf of Mexico late last year. A report published in June by Spanish university researchers in the journal Environmental Science and Technology Letters estimated that the leak contained about 40,000 tons of methane. The article estimated that would be equivalent to releasing about 3.3 million tons of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. The gas release came in December when one of the company’s oil platform in the Gulf of Mexico stopped flaring, or burning off...

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Federal Aviation Administration will pay nearly $4 million for its largest solar-power project yet, updating an air-traffic control and training center in Oklahoma. The agency said Thursday that the project will help it meet President Joe Biden’s order that government buildings use 100% carbon pollution-free electricity by 2030. The FAA said the panels are expected to generate enough power for 260 average homes and reduce the center’s electric bill by $170,000 to $200,000 a year. At the upfront cost of $3.98 million, it will take 20 to 23 years for the panels to pay for themselves.

On Tuesday morning, solar activity news website Spaceweather.com reported: "There are two sunspots on the farside of the sun so large they are affecting the way the sun vibrates." The study of the sun's vibrations is known as helioseismology, and it's a key area of solar science. Helioseismology involves studying sound waves from inside the sun, which can give clues as to what's happening on parts of the sun we can't see. It's similar to regular seismology here on Earth, in which scientists can work out what's going on inside our planet by studying sound waves that travel through our...

Prominent scientist backs up claim that there is 'no climate emergency' ... Patrick Moore, one of the founders of Greenpeace said in an email obtained by The Epoch Times that his reasons for leaving Greenpeace were very clear: “Greenpeace was ‘hijacked’ by the political left when they realized there was money and power in the environmental movement. [Left-leaning] political activists in North America and Europe changed Greenpeace from a science-based organization to a political fundraising organization,” Moore said. Moore left Greenpeace in 1986, 15 years after he co-founded the organization. “The ‘environmental’ movement has become more of a political movement...

The current electricity crisis in California is an echo of a similar situation in 2000–2001. There were power generation issues then, due in part to shortages causing rising prices for natural gas. One factor in the shortages was an explosion in an El Paso Natural Gas pipeline in New Mexico bringing Texas natural gas to California. At the time of year between the summer cooling and winter heating peaks in electrical demand, the utilities use any available pipeline capacity to put gas into underground storage. Without Texas gas arriving through the ruptured EPNG pipelines, those natural gas storage operations fell...
