Officials said Steve Bannon was the “architect” of a scheme to defraud donors who gave money to build a wall on the United States-Mexico border.

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg said at a press conference on Thursday that Bannon and the organization We Build the Wall, Inc., were indicted for a yearlong fundraising scheme that took in more than $15 million from thousands of people across the country based on false pretenses.

They actually built a significant section of the border wall with the donations and none of the donors ever complained about Kolfage or Bannon receiving compensation for their fundraising work. If these guys are guilty of fraud every member of Congress should be indicted with them.

The problem, they say, is that promises were made to those who donated that not a penny of the donation would go to salary. They are claiming that Brian received a 250,000 salary, and that Brannon laundered 400,000.

BTW, it was called We Build The Wall, not, We Built The Wall. 🙂
