CHICAGO -- Chicago police officers will no longer be allowed to chase people on foot simply because they run away or give chase over minor offenses, the department said Tuesday, more than a year after two foot pursuits ended with officers fatally shooting a 13-year-old boy and 22-year-old man.

Some progressives champion the term as inclusive, while others say it is exclusionary or offensiveThe term "womxn" has been adopted by some progressives since 2010 to serve as a more inclusive term for woman, but outlets and organizations who have used the term have faced backlash from those who believe it is exclusionary to the trans and non-binary community. According to dictionary.com, womxn is "a woman (used, especially in intersectional feminism, as an alternative spelling to avoid the suggestion of sexism perceived in the sequences m-a-n and m-e-n, and to be inclusive of trans and nonbinary women)." As early as...

Joe Walsh is a washed-up Illinois politician and a chameleon. He's gone from being a liberal Republican to a hardcore Tea Partier and ardent Trump supporter, to becoming so fiercely anti-Trump that in addition to voting for Joe Biden in 2020, Walsh even announced, as our Tim Graham has noted, that he would vote for a "socialist" over Trump. So why does CNN regularly invite this loudmouth non-entity onto its air? Because he can be counted on to trash Republicans. On this morning's New Day, co-host Brianna Keilar interviewed Walsh regarding a controversial TV ad from Eric Greitens, who is...

Tatum struggled in the NBA Finals, averaging 3.8 turnovers in 6 gamesThere’s a lot to criticize about Jayson Tatum’s performance in the 2022 NBA Finals. During the six Finals games, Tatum averaged just 21.5 points, 7.0 assists, and 6.8 rebounds. He also averaged 3.8 turnovers per game, even though his regular season career average is 2.1. Needless to say, those stats are underwhelming and ultimately didn’t get the job done as the Celtics lost the series 4-2. However, former Warriors guard Nick Young didn’t mention any of that in his tweet throwing shade at Tatum. Instead, Young called Tatum out...

DALLAS — American Airlines is dropping service to three U.S. airports in another sign of the pilot shortage facing the industry, officials said. Starting Sept. 7, Fort Worth-based American will no longer fly to Islip N.Y.; Ithaca, N.Y.; and Toledo, Ohio. Islip is located in Long Island. Ithaca is in western New York. And Toledo is in western Ohio. American made the decision "in response to the regional pilot shortage affecting the airline industry," the company said in a statement Monday. "We’re extremely grateful for the care and service our team members provided to our customers in Islip, Ithaca and...

The photo was originally taken during a Mother’s Day celebration in May 2021, but it gained widespread social media attention on Sunday. “President Trump should be incredibly proud of his youngest son, Barron Trump,” Adams wrote. “He’s a VERY tall young man who looks more and more like his father with each passing day.”

Kellogg Co., the 116-year-old maker of Frosted Flakes, Rice Krispies, Pringles and Eggo, will split into three companies focused on cereals, snacks and plant-based foods. Kellogg’s, which also owns plant-based food brand MorningStar Farms, said Tuesday that the spinoff of the yet-to-be-named cereal and plant-based foods companies should be completed by the end of next year. Kellogg’s had net sales of $14.2 billion in 2021, with $11.4 billion generated by its snack division, which makes Cheez-Its, Pringles and Pop-Tarts, among other brands. Cereal accounted for another $2.4 billion in sales last year while plant-based sales totaled around $340 million. In...

Don't believe we're headed for a one-world government soon? Cultural commentator and political activist Charlie Kirk, along with Jack Hibbs, founder and senior pastor of Calvary Chapel Chino Hills in Chino Hills, California, warns you not to be deceived. Kirk, 28, who founded Turning Point Ministries USA, says that the World Economic Forum, founded and led by Klaus Schwab, is on a mission to destroy Western values—biblical values—and to drive the Ten Commandments out of our culture. "They are doing everything they possibly can to break the Ten Commandments," Kirk says. "It's broader than that, but I think that's a...

The head of the Texas Department of Public Safety said Tuesday that Uvalde police could have stopped the mass shooting at Robb Elementary within three minutes, calling their response an "abject failure." Testifying before a special Texas Senate committee hearing, Col. Steve McCraw, director of the Texas Department of Public Safety, told lawmakers that "There is compelling evidence that the law enforcement response to the attack at Robb Elementary was an abject failure and antithetical to everything we’ve learned over the last two decades since the Columbine massacre." "The officers had weapons, while the children had none. The officers had...

In April of this year, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott had grown weary of the Biden administration releasing illegal aliens captured at the border into Texas towns and decided to make his problem Washington’s problem. He began to load illegal aliens onto buses and send them across the country to Washington, D.C. Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey thought that was a fine idea and began to send his own convoys full of illegals to Washington. Now, according to an exclusive report in the Washington Examiner, there have been 79 buses that have brought 2,500 illegals to Washington’s Union Station from Arizona and...

Unless you are brainwashed, you regard the statements "men give birth" and "defund the police" as absurd. Why, then, do leftists (as opposed to liberals and conservatives) say these things and even believe them? I think there are two -- related -- explanations. One is that the Left seeks to tear down every normative institution. If men give birth, "man" and "woman" no longer mean anything. "Men give birth" means the end of the male-female distinction, the most basic distinction in the human race. Racial distinctions pale in comparison. So do national distinctions. Marxists support the obliteration of the male-female...

On Friday, the journal Andrology published a peer-reviewed paper showing large decreases in sperm counts among men after the second dose of Pfizer’s mRNA Covid jab.Based on counts from men who donated sperm to three fertility clinics in Israel, this finding is devastating - medically and politically. It cuts to the heart of the hottest button question of all about the mRNA shots, whether they have hidden fertility risks. That issue has simmered since early 2021, following my reporting that data showed the shots had caused excess miscarriages in rats - and other reports showing that measurable amounts of vaccine reached...

As if cracking open a cosmic Russian nesting doll, astronomers have peered into the center of the Milky Way and discovered what appears to be a miniature spiral galaxy, swirling daintily around a single large star. The star – located about 26,000 light-years from Earth near the dense and dusty galactic center – is about 32 times as massive as the sun and sits within an enormous disk of swirling gas, known as a "protostellar disk". (The disk itself measures about 4,000 astronomical units wide – or 4,000 times the distance between Earth and the Sun). Such disks are widespread...

Colombia, which is America's strongest ally, has always had the most level-headed voters in the region. They've had two conservative parties, sometimes at once, and voters there have always rejected the crazy left, which in their case, is a Castro-grade revolutionary crazy grade of left, with Bill Ayers-types on steroids. They did, after all, fight a 60-year war against Marxist narcoterrorists, with only a few university wokesters defending them. So it was shocking news that on Sunday, Colombians went and elected just about the worst leftist of this stripe, a former M-19 narcoguerrilla named Gustavo Petro, president, turning one of...

Thousands of Ecuadoreans took to the streets Tuesday for a ninth day of Indigenous-led fuel price protests, as the military vowed to defend the country's democracy against what it called a "grave threat". Called by the powerful Confederation of Indigenous Nationalities of Ecuador (Conaie) the demonstrators have seen roads barricaded countrywide, cost the economy tens of millions of dollars and left dozens injured. "Ecuador's democracy faces a grave threat from the concerted actions of ....people who are preventing the free movement of the majority of Ecuadorans," Defense Minister Luis Lara told a press conference, flanked by the heads of the...

Twitter’s Board of Directors told the platform's shareholders to accept the world’s richest man’s $44 billion takeover deal, according to a new government filing. The filing specifically told shareholders that it “unanimously recommends that you vote” for “the adoption of the merger agreement” with Tesla CEO Elon Musk. Musk reportedly “listed the approval of the deal by shareholders as one of several ‘unresolved matters’ related to the Twitter deal” during an interview at the Qatar Economic Forum. The document also stated that the board "unanimously" agreed that "the merger agreement is advisable and the merger and the other transactions contemplated...

American Thinker published a great run-down re Letitia James' Catch-22 for Trump, describing the entrapment that she has laid for him. (link: https://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2022/06/new_yorks_attorney_general_has_president_trump_in_a_catch22.html) ......However, IMO, what the American Thinker article has done is to lay out the manner/method that Trump can use during his right to deposition to summon all of the major real estate players in New York to describe the way that their companies valuate their financial disclosures to suit different circumstances using the "the standards of accounting set forth by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA)"........In other words, Letitia James has unknowingly created a "real...

Iraq has entered the market for liquefied natural gas, with its first shipment ever taking place this week. In a statement, the Iraqi Oil Ministry said that the first shipment was an achievement and quoted the managing director of Basra Gas Company, Malcolm Mayes, as saying it was a "historic moment". The international LNG market has heated up in the past few months as Europe, a major importer of gas, seeks to reduce and eventually eliminate its reliance on Russian pipeline gas. LNG has emerged as the most convenient replacement, and the United States as the biggest supplier so far....
