Until Democrats are willing to drop truly radical policies like the Equality Act, it’s all smoke and mirrors meant to distract voters.Joe Biden’s ”State of the Union” address clearly marked an attempt by his White House to make their culture war seem like an afterthought. It’s not, of course, as evidenced by the president’s description of abortion as “health care” and his demand that Congress pass the radical Equality Act. But the bulk of Biden’s speech focused on “meat and potatoes,” as Chris Hayes repeatedly claimed during MSNBC’s coverage. It’s true, Biden dedicated much of his address to Ukraine, infrastructure,...

A Western intelligence report indicates that Chinese officials had some level of knowledge about President Vladimir V. Putin’s war plans or intentions. A Western intelligence report said senior Chinese officials told senior Russian officials in early February not to invade Ukraine before the end of the Winter Olympics in Beijing, according to senior Biden administration officials and a European official. The report indicates that senior Chinese officials had some level of knowledge about Russia’s war plans or intentions before the invasion started last week. President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia met with President Xi Jinping of China in Beijing on...

A blond-haired man went on an apparent hate-crime spree in Manhattan earlier this week, assaulting seven Asian women over a two-hour span, cops said Wednesday. The 29-year-old creep was picked up Wednesday at the New York Public Library on Fifth Avenue in connection to the alleged assaults, police sources said. His sick spree began around 6:30 p.m. Sunday, when he allegedly decked a 57-year-old woman near Madison Avenue and East 30th Street, a few blocks from the Empire State Building, cops said.

Joe Biden’s first state of the Union address should be his last. His sanctimonies, blame shifting, misstatements, false accusations, and adherence to failed policies only reinforced what an increasing number of people know: this man is a walking disaster—America’s worst modern president. Biden began with a justification of his policies that failed to prevent Russia from invading Ukraine—in fact, which effectively encouraged Russia to invade. Ukraine was supposed to be Biden’s Cuban Missile Crisis. Talk tough and then take credit when the Russians back down. But Biden is no John F. Kennedy. Russian President Vladimir Putin knows a bluffing fool...

“‘Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy’” (Matthew 5:7). The relationship of mercy and justice is a confusing one because on the surface they seem the exact opposite. Justice gives exactly what is deserved; mercy gives less punishment and more help than is deserved. So the great question is: How can God be both just and merciful at the same time? The truth is God does not show mercy without punishing sin. For Him to offer mercy without punishment would negate His justice. Mercy that ignores sin is false mercy and is all too common today. Some think...

As Jesus stood at the highest point of the temple, Satan whispered to him, “Go ahead. Jump! If you’re really God’s son, he’ll save you.” “Then the devil took him up into the holy city, set him on the pinnacle of the temple, and said to him, ‘If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down. For it is written: ‘He shall give his angels charge over you,’ and, ‘In their hands they shall bear you up, lest you dash your foot against a stone.’” (Matthew 4:5-6, NKJV). Do you see Satan’s deviousness in this? He isolated a single...

U.S. Rep Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said President Joe Biden's State of the Union address 'left a little to be desired' for Democrats because he did not push issues like renewable energy, student loan debt, education or immigration. The New York Democrat said Biden's speech on Tuesday, where he focused on COVID recovery and the conflict in the Ukraine, failed to capitalize on moving away from Russian oil by committing to green energy. 'I think it was a lost opportunity,' Ocasio-Cortez, 32, told MSNBC. 'There is profound bipartisan support to a long-term shift away from fossil fuels.' She added that Biden had...

It's time for America to stop letting the coronavirus “dictate how we live,” President Joe Biden’s White House declared Wednesday, outlining a strategy to allow people to return to many normal activities safely after two years of pandemic disruptions. One highlight is a new “test to treat” plan to provide free antiviral pills at pharmacies to people who test positive for the virus. The 90-page National COVID-19 Preparedness Plan spells out initiatives and investments to continue to drive down serious illness and deaths from COVID-19, while preparing for potential new variants and providing employers and schools the resources to remain...

Law students are adults who have completed an undergraduate degree. They’re in a professional school to learn the law, procedures, and skills they’ll need in a conflict-ridden, frequently harsh world. You would expect that they would act accordingly. Sadly, that’s not always the case. As we’ll see, law students can be petty and vindictive. And you would also expect that the people who run law schools would act like responsible scholars, defending their faculty members against groundless attacks. Sadly, that’s not always the case either. As we’ll see, law school administrators can act like craven cowards, scurrying away from academic...

An awkward and apparently accidental showing of a photo of President Joe Biden with a report about an accused child molester went viral ahead of the president's first State of the Union speech. The report from WTAE-TV in Pittsburgh showed a news anchor transitioning from a report of a robbery to that of serious accusations against an elderly man. "A 71-year-old man was accused of inappropriately touching a 12-year-old girl at the Walmart in West Mifflin Sunday afternoon," she said. But the photograph showed instead a smiling Biden with a reference to the State of the Union speech scheduled for...

“You Meant It for Evil, But God Meant It for Good” (Luke 22:1-13) In the beautiful rhythm of the church year, here we are again. It’s Lent, a time to reflect and repent, to pray and praise, to remember and rejoice in our Lord Jesus Christ, as he moves humbly toward the cross and then powerfully in victory from the grave. Lent leads us to Easter. This year, we’ll be following Jesus’ story in the Gospel according to Luke. Today, on Ash Wednesday, we begin our Lenten journey toward Easter under the theme, “You Meant It for Evil, But God...

China on Wednesday said it would not consider sanctioning Russia for its illegal invasion of Ukraine and said it will continue with "normal trade cooperation." And China abstained during a United Nations General Assembly vote Wednesday on a nonbinding resolution calling on Russia to halt its war on Ukraine and withdraw its military forces. Just five nations opposed the resolution – Russia, Belarus, Eritrea, North Korea and Syria – which passed with 141 aye votes.

A big hoopla was made last June over "Nani's Kitchen" in Rochester NY. The first restaurant to have unionized workers which the owner stupidly praised. Less than a year later, the business has gone bust permanently. Not to say that the Scamdemic didn't have a role to play as other long standing businesses went bust as well, but this restaurant, serving novelle indian cuisine with an almost exclusively woke clientele went down in flames particularly fast. Most of the articles have been scrubbed or are behind a paywall (democrat and chronicle)

n Tuesday night, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton was forced into a May Republican primary runoff with George P. Bush, a victory for the Bush family in their long-running feud with former President Donald Trump. Paxton had been endorsed in the race by Trump, who called the embattled attorney general "strong on Crime, Border Security, the Second Amendment, Election Integrity and, above all, our Constitution." Bush, on the other hand, is the son of former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and a scion of the most famous family in establishment Republican politics. His father and Trump feuded regularly during the course...

Some oral bacteria linked with hypertension in older women according to a new study in the Journal of the American Heart Association. In a study of more than 1,200 women in the U.S., average age 63 years, 10 kinds of oral bacteria were associated with a higher risk of developing high blood pressure, while five strains of bacteria were linked with lower hypertension risk. The observational study cannot prove cause and effect; however, the findings highlight possible opportunities to enhance hypertension prevention through targeted oral care, researchers said. Some oral bacteria were associated with the development of hypertension, also known...
