After weeks of feints, offers to negotiate, threats, and counter-threats, Vladimir Putin has put the question to the West by creating facts on the ground. On Monday he ordered Russian troops to enter the eastern Ukraine Donbas region where in 2014-15 he helped ethnic Russian separatists seize a territorial enclave. He has also created two puppet states which he has promised “friendship and mutual assistance,” and he is sending them “peacekeepers” to defend the new nations, and perhaps expand their territory beyond what they already hold. So far, the West has responded with bluster and economic sanctions that are...
  • What was Hitler’s National Socialism?

In my book Hitler’s National Socialism, I examine the German dictator’s social and economic policy goals. What social, economic, and political objectives was he pursuing? Against previously accepted opinion, Hitler attached great importance to the social question. He wanted to solve the social question by improving the chances of advancement for workers, by increasing social mobility. He was, my analysis of numerous public and private statements made between 1920 and 1944 demonstrates, a vehement proponent of “equal opportunity,” which, like all of his social and economic objectives, however, was only to be realized within the Volksgemeinschaft (German national community). Anyone...

Richard L. Cravatts, Ph.D., a Freedom Center Journalism Fellow in Academic Free Speech and President Emeritus of Scholars for Peace in the Middle East, is the author of Dispatches From the Campus War Against Israel and Jews. On January 24th, the Supreme Court agreed to hear a case, Fair Admissions v. Harvard University, which not only has some profound implications for the future of affirmative action in college admissions, but also raises again a troublesome and ignoble part of Harvard’s history with Jewish applicants early in the 20th century. At issue in the case is the accusation that Harvard discriminates...

It seems that the transgender revolution sweeping the globe has finally caught the eye of merchandisers. Consider the Bitty Bug Soft Packer, a custom made prosthetic for your (gender ambiguous) toddler. Vaguely reminiscent of a knitted glove, the Bitty Bug is actually a miniature knitted penis that parents can pin to their female child’s underwear to give a life-like impression of the male gender. The crocheted device is manufactured by Stitchbug Studio for just $6 a pair and guarantees that your biological female child will never be mistaken as female. Bitty Bug penises come in a variety of colors...

The Real Anthony Fauci: Bill Gates, Big Pharma and the Global War on Democracy and Public Health, is a devastating 445-page exposé some readers might find intimidating. Fortunately, the book also works as a thriller, with author Robert F. Kennedy Jr. on the trail of a dangerous criminal. “Dealing with Tony Fauci is like dealing with organized crime,” Dr. Jonathan Fishbein tells Kennedy. “He’s like the Godfather. He has connections everywhere. He’s always got people that he’s giving money to in powerful positions to make sure he gets his way, that he gets what he wants.” The National Institute of...

Last week, an organization that used to provide guitar lessons to girls in Afghanistan released a music video featuring those girls. The video was shot prior to the withdrawal of U.S. forces last summer and the subsequent takeover of their country by the Taliban. Miraculous Love Kids, a 501(c)(3) program, is run by Lanny Cordola, an American guitarist, songwriter and producer. The video opens with an introduction by a 16-year-old Afghan girl, who shows pictures that describe the terrible plight that the children of Afghanistan are enduring today: sleeping alone outside in the cold, sitting alone in the snow and...

Iesha White is so fed up with the U.S. response to covid-19 that she’s seriously considering moving to Europe. “I’m that disgusted. The lack of care for each other, to me, it’s too much,” said White, 30, of Los Angeles. She has multiple sclerosis and takes a medicine that suppresses her immune system. “As a Black disabled person, I feel like nobody gives a [expletive] about me or my safety.” The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has a strict definition of who is considered moderately or severely immunocompromised, such as cancer patients undergoing active treatment and organ transplant recipients....

The Museum of the Moving Image in Queens, New York, has a new exhibition that will put your skills to the test, according to Gothamist’s Jennifer Vanasco. “Deepfake: Unstable Evidence on Screen” looks at the technology of deepfakes—deceptive videos created using artificial intelligence and machine learning—and how they’re used to manipulate viewers, reports Eileen Kinsella for ArtNet News. The centerpiece of the exhibition is the video In Event of Moon Disaster, a six-minute film produced by the MIT Center for Advanced Virtuality, which won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Interactive Media: Documentary this year, according to ArtDaily. As we celebrate Black History Month and the great accomplishments of African Americans to the United States since its founding, I wanted to take a different perspective -- one that focuses on what Black Americans must do to achieve economic and generational prosperity. We must be concerned about the plight of many Black communities in the United States, which are plagued by high poverty, high crime and dismal educational systems. We must first recognize that these issues are neither ordained nor inevitable but rather require significant transformation. This is accomplished by emphasizing faith, family and education as key ingredients in...

Well, for so many years I taught school and every year cheating became less and less stigmatized. Administrators became more and more corrupt as they implemented their agendas, right and wrong be damned, and showed favoritism to certain wealthy and/or athletic individuals. I kept saying their were consequences for this and got thrown out on my head. Now, we are seeing the mother of all cheating consequences with the situation in the Ukraine and probably eventually Taiwan and the rest of Asia. Everyone and their mother's uncle knows Biden and Harris did not win that election and the Democrat Party...

No country on Earth relies entirely on wind and solar energy, but Australian politicians aim to achieve this miracle. They are leaders in the Stampede of the Green Lemmings.Solar energy has a huge problem. Even on sunny days, almost nothing is generated to meet the demand peaks around breakfast time and dinner time — the solar energy union only works a six-hour day, goes on strike with little warning, and takes quite a few sickies. So, for at least 18 hours of every day, electricity must come from somewhere else. Then, around noon, the millions of solar panels pour out far more...

The husband of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins has said he was “so angry” that actor Alec Baldwin denied responsibility for her death after Baldwin shot her during the filming of the Western “Rust.” In his first interview since filing a wrongful death lawsuit against Baldwin and about two dozen other defendants last week, Matt Hutchins was asked if he had watched Baldwin’s December interview with ABC News in which the actor said he was not responsible for Halyna’s death. “I was just so angry to see him talk about her death so publicly, in such a detailed way and then to...
  • The United States of Kensington: Philadelphia's Kensington Avenue gets away with brazenly being the center of one of the largest open-air narcotics markets in the United States

They seem to bounce and wobble from one side to the next. The drugged-out, half-alive skeletons of Kensington Avenue in Philadelphia make their way past erected tents and filthy sidewalks en route to their next fix. How Kensington Avenue, a poverty-stricken place in one of the most impoverished cities in the country, gets away with brazenly being the center of one of the largest open-air narcotics markets in the United States is frightening, bewildering, and telling. It's a race to the city morgue for many inhabitants of Kensington injecting themselves in broad daylight. And with so many new places like...
  • From the Ruling Class to the Outside . . . to the Senate?(JD VANCE)

Vance has no political experience, so he’s running essentially as an outsider. But his story captured the hearts and minds of millions of Americans with his best-selling book, Hillbilly Elegy, and the Academy Award-nominated Netflix movie adaptation. With searing eloquence, he describes the challenges and hardships facing working-class America, especially heartland communities decimated by economic and cultural decay. Vance provides a rare perspective given his own unpredictable rise from a troubled family and poor communities to an Ivy League graduate degree and professional success.

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic the most important metric to me was never cases, but hospitalizations. When dealing with an inevitable endemic respiratory virus that cannot be eradicated, the goal should be shifting disease to mild disease. In the U.S. this has not been an easy task as much of the population have not had to individually risk calculate as extolling these techniques were not a major component of official response (which was heavily “abstinence-only” focused), vulnerable populations such as nursing home residents were not protected, and too many high-risk individuals have shunned the life-saving vaccines.

There is a certain symmetry to the notion that the spokesmouth for the failing Biden administration reportedly is being assiduously courted by the two failing cable news networks, CNN and MSNBC, both of which have endured near-catastrophic ratings declines in the era of Biden. More Biden cowbell...yeah, that's the ticket.A scoop report by Dylan Byers, formerly of NBC and now the founding partner at media website Puck, gushes over Psaki and the reported talks she or her agent are having with the two networks.
