The U.S. Senate has confirmed Suffolk DA Rachael Rollins as the new U.S. Attorney for Massachusetts. Rachael Rollins’ confirmation as U.S. Attorney for Massachusetts could come with a political price as President Biden’s latest liability. Faster than you can say “nolle prosequi,” Sen. Ted Cruz made it clear that the Suffolk district attorney would be the GOP’s Exhibit A for “left-wing prosecutors” who look the other way while criminals get off scot-free in “Joe Biden’s America.” Vice President Kamala Harris needed to break a 50-50 tie — twice, actually — in the U.S. Senate to save Rollins, as all Republican...

ASPEN — A conservative opinion writer who was fired by the Aspen Times after seven years because his ideology was too far right, has won best columnist of the year for the second year in row by the readers of the Times, despite not having a presence in the paper since December 2019. Glenn Beaton said in his blog that on Christmas Eve, 2019, Aspen Times management sent him an email telling him that his values were not what they were looking for in a columnist, despite his column being one of the most read features of the paper, Beaton...

CHICAGO — Former “Empire” actor Jussie Smollett was convicted Thursday on charges he staged an anti-gay, racist attack on himself nearly three years ago and then lied to Chicago police about it. In the courtroom as the verdict was read, Smollett stood and faced the jury, showing no visible reaction. He and his family later left the courthouse without comment. The jury found the 39-year-old guilty on five counts of disorderly conduct — for each separate time he was charged with lying to police in the days immediately after the alleged attack. He was acquitted on a sixth count, of...

MSNBC anchor Chuck Todd declared Thursday on “MTP Daily” that former President Donald Trump and “his loyalists,” who he claimed had “hijacked and radicalized a part” of the GOP, were attempting to undermine democracy. “If it’s Thursday, President Biden tries to lead a global effort to revive democracy,” he said. Can the U.S. be a beacon for democracy abroad unless he first confronts the efforts to undermine it right here at home? We’ve said it before, and we’re going to say it again, the biggest story in American politics is and will continue to be this homegrown effort to undermine...

The prosecution has stated that Smollett hired the Osundairo brothers to stage the attack, with Chicago detective Michael Theis testifying that they were hired after Empire producers didn't take a threatening letter sent to Smollett seriously enough.

The Most Important News reports: One of the strangest statues that I have ever seen in my entire life has just been set up right outside UN Headquarters in New York City. When I first heard about this, I could hardly believe that the global elite would be so brazen, and so I checked into this very carefully. Unfortunately, this is not just a bad rumor. This absolutely gigantic statue is called “The Guardian of International Peace and Security”, and it looks like something out of a science fiction movie. It does not resemble any known creature on this planet....

By wide margins, U.S. voters say there is a crisis at the U.S. southern border and that building a border wall would be an effective method of stopping it, a new survey conducted for The Washington Times shows. Fully 70% of voters – including 60% of self-described Democrats – agree that there is, indeed, a border crisis, The Times reports. Additionally, twice as many voters disagree as agree with President Joe Biden’s contention that illegal aliens have been traumatized by the U.S. government and, thus, deserve to be compensated with payments funded by taxpayers. Forty-seven percent (47%) “strongly” disagree, nearly...

Canadian Physician Reports High Levels Of Microscopic Clots Dr Charles Hoffe has been practicing medicine for 28 years in a small, rural town in British Columbia, Canada, and recently gave a long interview. He has given about 900 doses of the Moderna experimental mRNA vaccine to his patients. So, contrary to some critics, he is no anti-vaccine doctor; at least was not originally. The core problem he has seen are microscopic clots in his patients’ tiniest capillaries. He said “Blood clots occurring at a capillary level. This has never before been seen. This is not a rare disease. This is...

Decades old blood and stool samples suggest a specific bacteria may have made men more susceptible to contracting HIV or AIDS in the 1980s, a finding researchers say may have relevance for fighting the disease today. What do all the microbes living rent-free in your gut have to do with disease risk? Perhaps a lot. A groundbreaking analysis of decades-old stool and blood samples from the early AIDS epidemic suggests that men who had high levels of inflammation-causing bacteria in their intestinal tract may have had a greater risk for contracting HIV. At issue is the specific makeup of the...

Life is organized on a 24-hour schedule. Central to this regular rhythm is the circadian clock, timekeepers that are present in virtually every organ, tissue and cell type. When a clock goes awry, sleep disruption or a variety of diseases can result. A recent Northwestern University discovery could help in understanding how this clock is linked to daily cycles. A team of neurobiologists has identified a new gene, called Tango10, that is critical for daily behavioral rhythms. This gene is involved in a molecular pathway by which the core circadian clock (the “gears”) controls the cellular output of the clock...

Santa Cruz County is seeing a spike in fentanyl overdoses. Health officials say they are up 66% compared to last year. It's been an alarming surge that is impacting the entire community. I was doing all of the same stuff that you hear about." This 55-year-old man didn't want us to use his real name, so we'll call him Bill. Six years after his mother died, he turned to heroin.
