A coffin-like capsule that allows people to end their life could be used in Switzerland from next year, its creators say. The Sarco suicide pod allows a user to lie down and activate the process themselves within a matter of minutes. Individuals are asked a series of questions before they can press a button, which brings oxygen down to a critical level. Nitrogen fills the 3D-printed device, quickly bringing oxygen down from 21 percent to only 1 percent in about 30 seconds. A “disorientated” and “euphoric” feeling then follows, before they eventually lose consciousness. Death takes place due to hypoxia...

Biden Lies Again, Claims He Was Golda Meir’s Liaison During the Six-Day WarMendacious? In the grip of dementia? Or both?Old Joe Biden is a serial liar as well as an elderly man in the grip of dementia, and it was initially hard to tell which one was kicking in on Thursday when he claimed that he served as Israeli Prime Minister Golda Meir’s liaison to Egypt during the Six-Day War in 1967. Golda Meir wasn’t prime minister of Israel during the Six-Day War, and Biden was an unknown law student at the time, but Biden did meet with her in...

Craig Wright claims to be inventor of BitcoinCraig Wright, a computer scientist who claims to be the inventor of Bitcoin, prevailed in a civil trial verdict Monday against the family of a deceased business partner that claimed it was owed half of a cryptocurrency fortune worth tens of billions. A Florida jury found that Wright did not owe half of 1.1 million Bitcoin to the family of David Kleiman. The jury did award $100 million in intellectual property rights to a joint venture between the two men, a fraction of what Kleiman's lawyers were asking for at trial. “This was...

When fans of the band Phish started falling ill with Covid-19 all over the country after a Halloween concert weekend in Las Vegas, public health officials were largely in the dark about what appears to have been a superspreader event. In a Facebook post from mid-November with hundreds of responses, concertgoers compared symptoms and positive test results, many of those from tests taken at home. But those data weren’t added to state public health tallies of Covid’s spread. It’s a story that’s becoming commonplace in the era of rapid home Covid testing: People who test positive are almost never counted...

The same predictions of doom and bloodshed keep coming from gun-control activists. They warn us of pending disaster should Pennsylvania become the 22nd state to adopt so-called constitutional carry rules that would allow law-abiding adults who legally own a handgun to conceal-carry it without a permit. Thirty-four states, including Pennsylvania, already allow open carry without a permit. With the U.S. Supreme Court set to decide how the Second Amendment applies to people's ability to defend themselves outside the home, the debate in states like Pennsylvania matter.

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell’s (R-KY) efforts to fast-track the debt ceiling is a tactic to protect his own “ego,” a former senior GOP aide told Breitbart News. McConnell has pushed to fast-track the adoption of legislation to raise the debt ceiling. His proposal would allow the Senate to consider the debt ceiling legislation with only a 51-vote majority or to allow it to pass with mainly Democrat votes.

How SARS-CoV-2 evolves over the next several months and years will determine what the end of this global crisis looks like — whether the virus morphs into another common cold or into something more threatening such as influenza or worse. A global vaccination push that has delivered nearly 8 billion doses is shifting the evolutionary landscape, and it’s not clear how the virus will meet this challenge. Meanwhile, as some countries lift restrictions to control viral spread, opportunities increase for SARS-CoV-2 to make significant evolutionary leaps.

The leaders of the select committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol are vowing to launch criminal charges against Mark Meadows if he refuses to cooperate in the probe. Meadows, who was chief of staff to then-President Trump at the time of the violent siege, is scheduled to testify privately before the panel on Wednesday, a date set after he recently agreed to participate in the probe after initially refusing. But Meadows reversed course again this week, informing the committee that he won't attend Wednesday's deposition, according to Reps. Bennie Thompson (D-Miss.) and Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.), who are...

For months, Biden administration officials have downplayed the current bout of inflation as “transitory,” suggesting it is only a temporary problem that will abate sooner rather than later. On Nov. 30, while appearing before Congress, Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell delivered quite a different message, saying it is time to “retire” the word “transitory” when referring to the 6.2 percent rate of inflation – a 30-year high – that is ravaging the U.S. economy. According to Powell, “We tend to use [the word transitory] to mean that it won’t leave a permanent mark in the form of higher inflation. I...

President Biden’s pick to lead a top bank regulator withdrew her nomination Tuesday after blistering attacks from Republicans and concerns among moderate Democrats. Saule Omarova, who Biden nominated to lead the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), pulled herself from consideration in a letter Biden released Tuesday, calling her nomination “untenable.” “As a strong advocate for consumers and a staunch defender of the safety and soundness of our financial system, Saule would have brought invaluable insight and perspective to our important work on behalf of the American people,” Biden said in a statement.

Degrading the DollarAmerica’s inflation has more staying power and deeper roots than Washington admits. After months of describing inflation as a “transitory,” Washington has at last admitted what every American has known for some time: inflation is severe and shows no sign of abating. Administration officials refuse to admit error—not unusual in Washington—but they have at least acknowledged the inflationary reality and have walked back earlier comments. Because inflation has more fundamental roots than Washington has yet admitted, it is comforting that monetary policy has at last begun—though only just begun—to deal with the threat.Overwhelming evidence has forced the change in...

A California mother says her 13-year-old son was told to keep quiet after being given the COVID-19 vaccine in exchange for pizza at his school without her consent, according to NBC Los Angeles. Maribel Duarte, who is vaccinated, said her son recently came home from Barack Obama Global Prep Academy in South Los Angeles with a vaccine card, telling her that he accepted the shot after he was offered pizza, the station reported. "It hurt to know he got a shot without my permission, without knowing and without signing any papers for him to get the shot," Duarte said.

A nationwide injunction against President Joe Biden's Wuhan coronavirus vaccine mandate for federal contractors has been issued by a federal judge in Georgia. The reasons cited for the injunction include Biden overreaching through executive order and a lack of congressional approval. "While the Procurement Act explicitly and unquestionably bestows some authority upon the President, the Court is unconvinced, at this state of the litigation, that it authorized him to direct the type of actions by agencies that are contained in EO 14042. Pursuant to clear United States Supreme Court precedent, Congress is expected to 'speak clearly' when authorizing the exercise...

RUSSELL, KS—Former Senator and presidential candidate Bob Dole has passed away at 98, marking his transition from a lifelong Republican to a reliable Democrat voter. "We are grateful for his service to the country, and we welcome him to the Democrat Party as a faithful Democrat voter for the rest of time." According to sources, Bob Dole has already endorsed every local, state, and federal candidate with a "D" after their name, and will continue to support them via mail-in ballot for the foreseeable future. You may have heard the terms “Cultural Marxism,” “Critical Theory” or “Frankfurt School” bandied about. And while you might have an intuitive approximation of what these terms mean for America in the 21st century, there’s a good chance that you don’t know much about the deep theory, where the ideology comes from, and what it has planned for America – and the world. The underlying theory here is a variant of Marxism, pioneered by early-20th-century Italian Marxist politician and linguist Antonio Gramsci. Gramscian Marxism is a radical departure from Classical Marxism. One does not need to endorse the Classical Marxism...
