Washington — President Trump on Thursday announced the United States will contribute $10 billion to the "Board of Peace" he established as part of his 20-point peace plan for Gaza, although the funding source isn't yet clear.
"I want to let you know that the United States is going to make a contribution of $10 billion to the Board of Peace," Mr. Trump told representatives from roughly 50 countries on Thursday. "The president called that a "very small number when you look at that compared to the cost of war."

Our financial ship is already sunk, so why not go down in flames?
I bet the Pope will join it now!
I thought we were no longer going to fund the world’s problems?? I thought NATO and the UN were to pay their own way.
Where do these billions come from? Let waste billions of hard-earned on the homicidal dirka dirkas
Fortunately, no President has the authority to actually give that money. It has to be appropriated by Congress.
The U.S. is witholding significant payments to the UN under President Trump. Under President Biden the U.S. paid the UN $18 billion in 2022 and $13 billion in 2023.
And as chairman of the Board of Peace, Trump’s first official act will be the bombing of Iran.
Gentlemen, you can’t fight in here! This is the War Room!
By “World” he means everyone else but Israel
AIPAC says so
Dear President Trump,
1. your BOP is a farce, sorry to have to say, because it
leaves the Fakestinian terrorist Occupation intact
2. use half that sum to end the Fakestinian Occupation, buy that Indonesian island you were talking about for relocating the Fakestinian Occupation there. It will be easy to monitor an island to make sure that they can never, ever again attack and slaughter any innocent human beings .. anywhere on earth.
3. Financing the continuation of the Fakestinian terrorist Occupation of Gaza district is immoral and thoroughly against USA’s best interests.
4. PS: it is our money, please don’t (in effect) give it away to prolong evil Islamicists in their bloodthirsty “cause”
5. I am not an isolationist nor would I dispute spending some of our tax money on foreign measures that are moral and that actually help USA and our allies. This, sir, AIN’T IT!
Don’t like that
We don’t have $10b to donate.
Congress is controlled by AIPAC, it will be Bipartisanly funded.
He’s negotiating.
Ever negotiating.
So far, we have given Israel $12 billion dollars in aid during Trump’s second term. This figure doesn’t include the monies associated with bombing Iran’s nuclear facilities.
He isn’t doing this to Make America Great Again.
He isn’t doing this to score political points.
He isn’t doing this to shore up his base.
He isn’t doing this to protect the U.S.
He is doing this because Israel told him to.
We are so cooked.
Does he get to pocket this money after the whole thing dissipates? Similar to campaign contributions? He was asking other world leaders to contribute.
300,000 people paid $100 down for a “Trump phone” with no refund and no phone
Or the Venezuela oil money going to his overseas account, or world leaders/businesses getting political favors for buying Trump bitcoin
So many things it’s actually pretty funny, and he doesn’t even try to hide it
This is likely chump change compared to what I bet we will give to rebuild Ukraine when that fiasco finally ends.
I’m fine with that so long as the 10 billion is allocated from the UN.
