Left-wing documentary director Josh Fox pleaded with Twitter users on Friday to stop showing Kyle Rittenhouse’s face because, in his view, the Illinois teenager “murdered my brothers.” Fox, who is the director of the debunked anti-fracking documentary Gasland and eventually downgraded to a contributor for The Young Turks, immediately saw his content policing backfire with a wave of pro-Rittenhouse memes in the replies. The filmmaker insisted that he “needed” everyone to start posting “warnings” in posts containing images of the teenager who is standing trial in Wisconsin. Fox is so triggered by the images of Rittenhouse that he is demanding...

Arizona Secretary of State Katie Hobbs is coming under attack from within her own party over her involvement in events which led a federal jury to award $2.75 million in damages this week to a former policy advisor Hobbs helped fire in 2015. That staff member, Talonya Adams, had brought it to the attention of Democratic Senate leaders that as a Black female she was being paid significantly less than policy advisors who were White males. Adams had also documented those other staffers received pay raises while she had not, despite no negative performance reviews. That put Adams’ claims of...

Panicked Democrats are deep into the blame game as rising inflation and plummeting polls have the White House — and its media enablers — shooting off in every direction. CNN brought out the heavy artillery on Sunday, firing a barrage directly into the lap of alleged Vice President Kamala Harris, in the form of a nearly 5,000-word hit piece. Harris has been on a roll lately, like a snowball gaining size and speed right into the political abyss. The CNN report says that “key West Wing aides have largely thrown up their hands” at Harris and her inept staff because...

Washington (AFP) – The United States on Monday announced new sanctions against Nicaragua government officials and the public prosecutor over recent "sham" elections that saw long-time leader Daniel Ortega win a fourth straight presidential term. Advertising The US Treasury "designated the Public Ministry of Nicaragua (the federal public prosecutor's office)... as well as nine officials of the Government of Nicaragua in response to the sham national elections," a statement from the department said. In the months ahead of the November 7 election, Nicaraguan authorities detained nearly 40 opposition figures, including seven would-be presidential challengers, virtually assuring victory for Ortega and...

During Donald Trump's presidency, Joe Scarborough's favorite parlor game was to trumpet every dip in the president's poll numbers. But back in August, when Biden's numbers started to slide, Scarborough went strangely silent, prompting us to ask Scarborough: "Cat got your tongue?" Now, Biden's poll numbers have gotten so bad that even dead-enders like Scarborough can no longer ignore them. On Monday's Morning Joe, Scarborough was thus forced to acknowledge the latest bad news, and do his best to whistle past them. Get the rest of the story and view the video here.

“It’s time to put down the gavel,” Patrick Leahy declared a few minutes ago in bowing out of the 2022 midterms. “It’s time to pass the torch to the next Vermonter.” It’s the identity of the next Vermonter that will worry Democrats, who have to defend another open seat in an election cycle that looks to be a disaster already. It doesn’t help that the heir apparent within Democrat ranks is only seven years younger than Leahy himself:Leahy is chairman of the Senate Appropriations Committee and also president pro tempore of the Senate, making him third in the line of succession...

Sure, President Biden is frail, stooped, and increasingly senile. And yes, the “Big Guy” is thoroughly corrupt, lies like a rug, and constantly makes stuff up to appear heroic. But did you know he’s also a dyed-in-the-wool racist? Why, just this week, our president burnished his white supremacist bona fides, calling the former baseball player, Satchel Paige, “a great Negro.” Our vile, despicable media, of course, nearly strained a gerund jumping to Biden’s defense. He was referring to the Negro Leagues, they enlightened us, and merely mangled his words (see senile, increasingly). Perhaps, like the fabled broken clock, the media...

Havana (AFP) – Cuban police deployed in large numbers on the streets of Havana Monday ahead of a rally the opposition has vowed to hold despite it being banned by the one-party state. Along the city's seaside esplanade, armed police in uniform gathered on nearly every corner, while others in civilian dress patrolled the city's squares and parks. Cuba's opposition has said the "15N" (November 15) gathering would go ahead in the face of the official ban, and the risk of criminal prosecution with hundreds still in jail after earlier protests that were put down by the armed forces. The...

The Treasury Department and IRS said Monday they sent out the fifth batch of monthly child tax credit payments, disbursing more than $15 billion in payments to families that include about 61 million children. The agencies said they have sent out a total of about $77 billion in monthly payments since the program began in July. Families are eligible for payments of up to $300 per month for children under age 6, and up to $250 per month for children ages 6 to 17. The monthly child tax credit payments came about as a result of the coronavirus relief law...

On Sunday, California gas prices rose to a record-setting high average of $4.676 per gallon for regular gasoline, according to the American Automobile Association (AAA). The previous record average price of $4.671 was set in October 2012. The Golden State is America’s largest state by population and currently has the highest gas prices in the country even as the national average dropped slightly to $3.413. One reason for the increase, AAA said, is the state’s reduced refinery production capacity due to heavy rainstorms in northern California which then trickled down the supply chain, impacting southern California similar to what happened...

KENOSHA, WI—CNN Joined with progressive groups in calling for Judge Bruce Schroeder—who is presiding over the Rittenhouse case—to be removed after an American flag was spotted in his courtroom. "It's clear that this judge cannot be impartial," said CNN legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin, who was wearing a large trenchcoat and nothing else for some unknown reason. "The American flag is a symbol of oppression and white supremacy. Any judge who would allow that hateful symbol in his courtroom has no business presiding over this important case." Further reports indicated that the Judge is a white male, has a family, and...

Former chief advisor to President Obama David Axelrod took to Twitter on Monday to criticize the Wisconsin judge presiding in the Kyle Rittenhouse trial, accusing him of being "a de facto defense attorney on the bench." Axelrod slammed Judge Bruce Schroeder after the latter dismissed a misdemeanor charge against Kyle Rittenhouse, the teenager facing murder charges for fatally shooting two protesters during unrest over police brutality last year in Kenosha, Wis. He further praised Rittenhouse's luck and said "this kid has the great good fortune of a de facto defense attorney on the bench."

In Defense of “Misinformation”Restrictions of scientific free speech will inevitably lead to restriction of any speech deemed detrimental to freedom.American sociologist Robert K. Merton once defined four norms that guide scientific research: communalism, universalism, disinterestedness, and organized skepticism. Communalism holds that science should be done publicly, universalism that everyone should be held to the same scientific standards, disinterestedness that there should be no biases, and organized skepticism that scientific claims should be evaluated based on objectivity and rigor. For all four norms, open inquiry is fundamental. To practice the scientific method, we must have the freedom to discuss ideas. No...

Harvard law professor emeritus Alan Dershowitz says Kyle Rittenhouse “should be acquitted” of killing two men and wounding a third during riots and protests last year in Kenosha, Wisconsin, and he should file defamation lawsuits against media outlets for claiming that he’s guilty of murder. “If I were a juror, I would vote that there was reasonable doubt [and] that he did act in self-defense,” Dershowitz told Newsmax on Nov. 13. Rittenhouse, if acquitted, should then “bring lawsuits” against corporate news outlets for articles claiming the teen engaged in “vigilante justice,” Dershowitz said. “It’s CNN who is involved in vigilante...

Infowars host and conspiracy theorist Alex Jones was found liable Monday for damages in lawsuits brought by parents of children killed in the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting over Jones' claims that the massacre was a hoax. Judge Barbara Bellis took the rare step of defaulting Jones in the defamation lawsuits for his and his companies' “failure to produce critical material information that the plaintiffs needed to prove their claims.” The default means the judge found in favor of the parents and will hold a hearing on how much damages he should pay. Lawyers for the parents claimed Jones and...

An eight-year-old Florida girl is making the system bend to her will as she defies the Palm Beach County School Board's mask mandate. So far, she has been suspended 38 times for failing to do as the adults tell her. “I was really shocked by it,” said Bailey Lashell, Fiona’s mother, according to WTEN-TV. “I couldn’t believe it was all over not complying with the mask mandate.” “It is not fair that I'm getting punished because you guys, the school board, are not following the law,” she said. “I’m still going to stand up for what I believe in.” “I...
