New claims for unemployment insurance fell to a new post-lockdown low during the final week of October, according to data released Thursday by the Labor Department. In the week ending Oct. 30, initial claims for unemployment insurance totaled 269,000, a decline of 14,000 from the previous week’s revised level of 283,000. New weekly claims have reached the lowest total since March 14, 2020, when roughly 225,000 Americans filed first-time jobless aid applications shortly before the U.S. locked down to contain the spread of COVID-19.

Socialism, one of history’s worst ideas, has been disproved repeatedly and without exception. Yet it keeps rearing its ugly head – constantly being rebranded as a good idea. Socialism only benefits the ruling class who implement this form of government theft. Amazingly, early America had an experiment in socialism. The Pilgrim settlers tried socialism for two years – and it nearly killed them. In his book, “Socialism: The True History from Plato to the Present,” William J. Federer quotes the socialistic bylaws imposed on the Pilgrims by those London merchants who funded the creation of their colony. Under this agreement...

Standing strong against Mayor Bill de Blasio’s tyrannical vaccine mandate, one in six public workers in New York City reportedly did not show proof of being vaccinated before the October 30th deadline. While there was supposedly a rush of last-minute injections that occurred just before the 8pm deadline last Friday, many stood against the mandate and refused the jab.As a result, NYC has lost roughly 17 percent of its public workforce, and the city is now preparing for closed firehouses, fewer police officers and ambulances, and also less rubbish collection.NTD reported that “twenty-three percent of the workers in the fire and...

The jury that will consider the fates of three white men accused of killing a Black jogger consists of 11 white people and a single Black member. Prosecutors in the Ahmaud Arbery case, which drew national attention last year, blame defense attorneys for rejecting Black jurors, according to The New York Times. Lee Merritt, an attorney for Arbery's family, said on Twitter that the defense team had 24 strikes and 11 of the strikes were directed at Black people who might otherwise have been placed on the jury.

Law blocked Montgomery County police from working with ICE to detain illegal immigrants charged with crimes Maryland government officials sought approval from an open borders activist group while they drafted a controversial 2019 sanctuary law that critics now say was responsible for a spike in violent crimes by illegal immigrants, according to internal emails obtained by the Immigration Reform Law Institute. CASA de Maryland, a group that advocates for decreased border restrictions and once accepted $1.5 million from the Hugo Chávez regime, in 2019 was in close contact with officials in Montgomery County, Md., to draft the "Promoting Community Trust...

This week, reality struck back against Democratic electoral utopianism. Since 2012, Democrats have been convinced that a new, durable, near-unbeatable political coalition was in the making: a coalition largely comprised of college-educated white voters, women, younger Americans and racial minorities. This coalition would overtake the demographically shrinking "old, white majority" and win victory after victory. As Ruy Teixeira and John Halpin wrote for the Center for American Progress in the aftermath of Obama's reelection, "Obama's strong progressive majority -- built on a multi-racial, multi-ethnic, cross-class coalition in support of an activist ... is real and growing and it reflects the...

WASHINGTON – Workers at larger businesses will have to get vaccinated for COVID-19 by Jan. 4, 2022, or face regular testing under new federal rules being released Thursday. Workers who choose the testing option may have to bear the cost. They also will be required to wear a face mask on the job, beginning on Dec. 5. The rules fill in the details for the vaccination requirement President Joe Biden announced in September for businesses with 100 or more employees. The Labor Department is taking feedback over the next month on whether smaller workplaces should be included. "COVID-19 continues to...

FNC’s Geraldo Rivera said Wednesday on “The Five” that Tuesday’s elections results were not a Republican “tidal wave.” After clips of MSNBC and CNN hosts reacting to the election of Glenn Youngkin as governor, Rivera said, “The commentators, like Democrats generally, are whiny, they are annoying. I watched. I hate-watched CNN, MSNBC. I watch everybody with the sound off. And the other networks were so gloomy. They were so depressed. They had big frowns. And even everything looked blue and black. They were very depressed. This is not that big a deal.” He continued, “In my town, in Cleveland, the...

“Tired of stigma? So are we.” That’s the tagline of the NiceAF campaign, which encourages kinder, more respectful behavior and language on GBTQ dating apps such as Grindr, Scruff, and Jack’d. While the popularity of these types of dating apps has grown immensely over the last decade, so have users complaints about their toxicity. The NiceAF campaign recently released a report with the results of a survey about what app users want to see happen to create a kinder, safer, and less hostile dating environment. The survey was conducted from April through June of this year, and included 5,500 responses...

New York City Mayor-elect Eric Adams says he wants to "revisit" the city's COVID-19 vaccine mandate for city workers, which has drawn resistance from some unions. "We need to revisit how we're going to address the vaccine mandates," Adams said on MSNBC on Wednesday. While saying he did not want to "Monday morning quarterback" current Mayor Bill de Blasio, who put the mandate for city workers into effect, Adams said, "what I'm going to encourage him to do is to sit down with the unions."

Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) in a Thursday morning appearance on CNN’s "New Day" defended his arguments over the social spending and climate package stuck in Congress, arguing that Democrats and President Biden will be hurt if the party moves too far to the left. “I believe in President Biden. I still do and I will always because he's a good person, he's here for the right reason. He really is in government for the right reason. We just have to work together. We can't go too far left,” Manchin said. “This is not a center left or a left country,...

Adam Lux (as he’s better known, and a fitter name to his character could hardly be invented), German Republican turned French Revolution representative, was so lovestruck by the arresting figure of Charlotte Corday that it was downright … mortifying. Many were men to whom the Norman maid played muse, like the poet Andre Chenier. But Lux was something else. Thrilled by this chaste heroine’s sacrificial blow against the Revolution’s monster, Lux was supposed to have fallen madly in love with the murderess the one time he actually saw her, on her serene way to the scaffold. Eros thus yoked to...

Gurrero was arrested on 12 counts of possession of child pornography after police found a series of videos of nude or partially nude victims as young as 8 years old on his phone, according to New York Daily News.
