According to a new poll from OH Predictive Insights, it would be Republican Kari Lake and Democrat Katie Hobbs facing off in November. The women have the highest favorability ratings in their respective parties. Lake, a former TV news anchor, has a 25% rating of very favorable and a 35% rating of somewhat favorable among Republicans. The numbers for Hobbs, Arizona’s current secretary of state, are 32% and 31%, respectively, among Democrats.

San Francisco and six other Bay Area counties will reinstate a mask mandate for all indoor environments as cases of the coronavirus “Delta variant” continue to rise, health officials announced Monday. A former Catholic bishop admitted that the Archdiocese of Albany covertly moved around priests accused of sexual misconduct before reintroducing them back into the ministry. Howard J. Hubbard, who headed the diocese from 1977 to 2014, said it was common practice in the 1970s and 1980s to temporarily remove accused priests, send them for supposed rehabilitation — then put them back on the job.
