Internet platforms such as Facebook and Google will be required to take down vaccine misinformation under proposals to be announced on Thursday by two Democrat senators. Amy Klobuchar, senator for Minnesota, and New Mexico's Ben Ray Lujan's bill will add to the stack of legislation going after Section 230 - a law that protects tech companies from being sued over content posted by users. If the internet platforms do not take down health and vaccine-related misinformation during public health emergencies, they would be held liable for that failure.

Conservative radio talk show host Phil Valentine has been hospitalized with COVID-19, according to his brother. “He is in the hospital in the critical care unit breathing with assistance but is NOT on a ventilator,” Mark Valentine said in a statement posted to Facebook on Thursday. “Phil would like for his listeners to know that while he has never been an ‘anti-vaxer’ he regrets not being more vehemently ‘Pro-Vaccine’, and looks forward to being able to more vigorously advocate that position as soon as he is back on the air, which we all hope will be soon,” he wrote.

Three times in the last two days I've searched for sites of small businesses that supply parts and services to us old time firearms collectors. Three times I've come up empty, no matter how I vary my search terms.DDG is actually an overlay on top of Bing. Looks like Bing has gone hyper-woke.Anybody have another option that I can run on my old XT-Pro / Firefox 52 platform?

Over the coming months this could end up being major popcorn and Pepsi time. It may be best to stay away from the rival Woka Cola. Many things could be played out on stages all over the United States, not limited to 1-4 below, especially if they are played out within court rooms: 1.) U.S. federal law does not allow business boycotts of foreign countries. Counter-argument from Ben & Jerry's/Unilever: we aren't boycotting Israel but rather this is occurring in "Israeli-occupied" territories. U.S.: those areas are a part a Israel. Counter: how so per U.S. policy of a two-state solution,...

“You got the vaccination? Are you — are you OK? I mean, you seem — no, it works,” Biden said to Lemon, who assented in a way that indicated he wasn’t unaware he was locked in a bad-viral moment with a guy he really likes. That look didn’t register, apparently. “Or, you know — or the mom and dad or the neighbor or when you go to church or when you’re — now, I really mean it. There are trusted interlocutors,” Biden continued. “Think of the people, if your kid wanted to find out whether or not there were —...

Visible Blue-white Scintillation by Energetic Charged Particle Emission from Ni Film Cathode in Light Water Electrolysis at Room Temperature Hiroshi Yamada Iwate University, Japan E-mail: yamadahi@iwate-u.ac.jp Ueda 4-3-5, Morioka 020-8551, Japan The method employed in the present work might be the simplest one ever known to realize the low energy nuclear reaction. Electrolysis is carried out for the Li2SO4/H2O solution of 0.1 mol/L in a small plastic cell under DC condition at room temperature. The inner bottom of the test cell is a 5 μm thick Ni film serving as the cathode. The cell consists of a vertical plastic cylinder...

Kamala Harris met with ‘DREAMer’ illegal aliens in the White House on Thursday and told them they deserve a pathway to citizenship. “I want to make clear to the DREAMers that are here, and to those who are watching from home, this is your home, this is your home, and we see you and you are not alone,” Harris said to the illegal aliens who were brought into the White House. “Many umm have been living recently these years — a life of uncertainty even though this is the only country they have ever known,” she said. “They deserve a...

More than eight months after the acute polling embarrassment in the 2020 U.S. elections – that produced the sharpest discrepancy between the polls and popular vote outcome since 1980 – survey experts examining what went wrong say they have no definitive answers about why polls erred as markedly as they did. That inconclusive finding reported by a polling industry task force will do little to assuage popular skepticism about election polls which, in one way or another, have misfired in all U.S. presidential races but one since 1996. And if the source of the 2020 polling error cannot be pinpointed,...

Tsinghua Unigroup, a Chinese state-backed chip maker, said it received court notice that one of its creditors had initiated bankruptcy proceedings for the group, dated July 12. Tsinghua Unigroup is a commercial arm of China’s Tsinghua University and an integral part of Chinese Leader Xi Jinping’s semiconductor self-reliance dream. One of its creditors had requested the court to initiate bankruptcy and reorganization proceedings due to Tsinghua Unigroup’s failure to repay debts and its glaring insolvency. Please say a special prayer for my mother, who is going in for back/spinal surgery next Friday. This will be her third try at correcting the damage done after 40+ years of being a registered nurse, spending hours on her feet in patent leather nursing shoes, lifting and carrying patients when needed and essentially premanently injuring herself in the process. She is an 81-year-old cancer survivor who has had two previous surgeries, and can now barely walk without the constant assistance of my live-at-home sister. She has become dependent on Percocet to help relieve the pain. With God's help and...

The vaccine advisory panel to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said on Thursday that the benefits of Johnson & Johnson’s COVID-19 vaccine still outweigh the risk of a serious, but rare, neurological disorder following vaccination. The Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices met to discuss the incidence of Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS) following a J&J shot and agreed that the vaccine should continue to be used in people 18 and older under the Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) emergency use authorization, saying that the vaccine’s benefits far outweigh the risks. GBS is a condition where the individual’s immune system...

Seasonal monsoons are flooding major Chinese cities, leading to extensive civilian casualties and widespread destruction of property. Information about the disaster is increasingly difficult to come by, as the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) ramps up censorship of any content that it deems contains “negative energy.” By July 22, the Chinese regime announced that 33 people have died from the flooding, with eight missing. But videos recorded by locals suggest much a higher figure. Chinese netizens, meanwhile, have taken to social media demanding the regime reveal the true death toll. During recent rescue efforts, bodies were found in a submerged tunnel...
