Please say a special prayer for my mother, who is going in for back/spinal surgery next Friday. This will be her third try at correcting the damage done after 40+ years of being a registered nurse, spending hours on her feet in patent leather nursing shoes, lifting and carrying patients when needed and essentially premanently injuring herself in the process. She is an 81-year-old cancer survivor who has had two previous surgeries, and can now barely walk without the constant assistance of my live-at-home sister. She has become dependent on Percocet to help relieve the pain. With God's help and blessing, she'll make it through this one last surgery and be able to complete physical therapy rehab, and no longer need to be in a mental fog and semi-stupor of painkillers so she can live out her last few years in dignity and with some semblence of self-mobility. God bless you all, and thank you for your prayers.

Heavenly Father, Our Lord God Almighty, we come in corporate prayer for Viking2002’s mother. . . asking for healing. Her years of helping others has caused pain in her later years. We pray in the name of Jesus for this pain to removed from her body . . that the doctors and nurses see Your Mighty Hand at work. We pray for the sister and family that they feel Your Presence. Give them strength and rest. Let this be a time of testimony of Your Love and Salvation. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Thank you. Mom worked OR, ER, ICU, CCU, Hospice, Peds, OB/GYN, you name it. She has seen things in her life you and I would be emotionally scarred over. She was called up on her day off when Flight 93 went down in PA, near Somerset - hers was the closest hospital to the crash site, the one I was born in. They’d cleared the parking lots to set up helicopter landing pads and triage tents. She said the hardest thing was being sent home when they were told there were no inbound injured to treat - all were dead. She is one tough old broad.
Dear Lord Jesus,
You are the Master Physician. I ask that You guide the doctors who will be operating on Viking’s Mom next week so that she may have a successful outcome.
Please let her heal quickly and without complications.
Bless her and her family.
May Your will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.
