As it happens, Wi Spa isn’t the only similar space that’s had to balance accommodating both cis customers and trans customers in various stages of their transitions. A rep for Century Day and Night Spa on Olympic Boulevard recalls a similar situation just before the pandemic shut them down in spring 2020 in which a trans woman (“with everything reflected female on her driver’s license”) caused an uproar among cis gender female clients by exposing male genitals in the female pools and lockers. “[She] wouldn’t really use the spas, [she] just sat at the corner of the pool with [her]...

South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem announced Tuesday that she will join a growing list of Republican governors sending law enforcement officers to the U.S. border with Mexico. Noem’s announcement that she will send up to 50 South Dakota National Guard troops to Texas comes as the GOP ramps up a political fight with President Joe Biden over border security. The issue has drawn a host of prominent GOP figures: former President Donald Trump was expected to travel to the border this week and Republican governors from Florida, Nebraska and Iowa have all committed to sending law enforcement officers for border...

Unless you’re an avid shooter, there tends to be only a handful of ammunition types a person can list off the top of their heads, and even fewer if we’re talking specifically about rifles. Although there’s a long list of projectiles to be fired from long guns, the ones that tend to come to mind for most of us are almost always the same: 5.56 and 7.62, or to be more specific, 5.56×45 vs. 7.62×39.National militaries all around the world rely on these two forms of ammunition thanks to their range, accuracy, reliability, and lethality, prompting many on the internet...

A group of Minneapolis activists blocked Minneapolis Council Member Andrea Jenkins’ car from leaving a parking lot Sunday night until she agreed to six of their demands, on video and in writing — including a call for Mayor Jacob Frey’s resignation. A series of videos captured part of the incident at Loring Park, where a Taking Back Pride march ended Sunday; marchers called for an end to police at Pride festivals, protection of Black trans people, and community control over the police. Jenkins, a biological male who is the nation’s first black, openly transgender person elected to public office, was...

According to the “Economic Recovery Dashboard” on the New Mexico Tourism Department website, embattled Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham’s harsh lockdown during the pandemic resulted in an economic catastrophe, including the closure of 40% of New Mexico’s small businesses, a devastating figure. The figures show that in the food service and accommodations industry, nearly 60% of small businesses in that sector have been killed by Lujan Grisham’s lockdowns. My industry means everything to me,” Kate Gerwin, the owner of the Nob Hill bar Happy Accidents in Albuquerque, told KRQE 13 News. “Knowing independent businesses are suffering kills us.” But with the...

President Joe Biden is attempting to “destroy” American suburbs with the reconciliation infrastructure package, proving former President Donald Trump’s prediction correct. Trump said during a 2020 campaign rally that Biden wants “to put low-cost housing in the suburbs, and that would mean abolishing, ruining the suburbs. It has already begun. It’s been going on for years.”

The trouble started when a woman asked to cancel a delivery order because it was running late, according to Chang. “You cancel the order, that’s fine. We respect that. but it’s going to take a while to give you a refund. We’ll give you a refund, don’t worry about it,” Chang said. The woman kept calling Chang’s restaurant from two different phone numbers and said she would keep calling until she received a refund. “After we gave the credit, we took a photo and sent it to her cell phone. That’s when she sent us nasty and hate crime text...

House Majority Whip James Clyburn (D-SC) said Tuesday on MSNBC’s “Ayman Mohyeldin Reports” that a statue sent by South Carolina of the seventh vice president of the United States John C. Calhoun needs to be removed from Capitol’s National Statuary Hall because it is honoring slavery. Mohyeldin said, “I know the House is set today, Sir, to vote on a bill to remove Confederate statues from public display in the Capitol. That was a bill actually passed in the previous Congress, as you are well aware, it stalled in the Republican-controlled Senate at the time. Why is this bill so...

With BofA predicting that the US is facing a period of “transitory hyperinflation“, one which could last as long as 4 years, as a result of soaring commodity prices in everything from metals to food and beyond, in what increasingly more warn is a stagflationary burst right out of the 1970s playbook…… it makes sense that home prices are also surging thanks to trillions in stimmy checks, near-record low mortgage rates and an exodus away from cities, and as we noted two last month that’s precisely what they are doing, with Redfin reporting an 18% jump in median home sale...

Joe Biden traveled to La Crosse, Wisconsin on Tuesday to deliver remarks on his infrastructure bill and it was a total dumpster fire. Biden told the debunked story about the Amtrak conductor named Angelo who used to grab his cheek. Then he leaned forward and whispered into the microphone. It appears Biden’s handlers have told him not to be so creepy so he tempered his whisper a little bit. I think it’s time to give ordinary people a tax break. The wealthy are doing fine. No, I mean it,” Biden said. VIDEO:

Gwen Berry is (unfortunately) a member of the US Hammer Throwing team participating in the Olympic trials. While she was standing on the podium after receiving the Bronze medal, this happened. On Saturday, the song happened to start while outspoken activist Gwen Berry was standing on the podium after receiving her bronze medal in the hammer throw. While the music played, Berry placed her left hand on her hip and shuffled her feet. She took a quarter turn, so she was facing the stands, not the flag. Toward the end, she plucked up her black T-shirt with the words “Activist...

Joe Biden traveled to La Crosse, Wisconsin on Tuesday to deliver remarks on his gargantuan infrastructure bill. “This bipartisan breakthrough is a great deal for the American people,” Biden said on Tuesday of the highly unpopular bill. “Not just for folks in cities, not just for red states or blue states, but for everybody.” At one point Joe Biden got confused and claimed he was at an in-person tour at Proterra’s bus factory when it was virtual (screenshot below). Biden virtual tour of Proterra Joe Biden is either lying or his dementia kicked in.
