Gov. Lujan Grisham killed 40% of New Mexico small businesses with her lockdowns

According to the “Economic Recovery Dashboard” on the New Mexico Tourism Department website, embattled Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham’s harsh lockdown during the pandemic resulted in an economic catastrophe, including the closure of 40% of New Mexico’s small businesses, a devastating figure.

The figures show that in the food service and accommodations industry, nearly 60% of small businesses in that sector have been killed by Lujan Grisham’s lockdowns.

My industry means everything to me,” Kate Gerwin, the owner of the Nob Hill bar Happy Accidents in Albuquerque, told KRQE 13 News. “Knowing independent businesses are suffering kills us.”

But with the Governor’s slow reopening, even though she claims it is now at 100%, mask mandates are still in place and restrictions remain in certain areas.

During the pandemic, the Governor locked the state down completely, which crippled countless small businesses across the board. The few businesses and religious organizations that defied Lujan Grisham were plunged into even further financial ruin with fines of up to $60,000 and State Police ordered to shut businesses down.

During the holidays, Lujan Grisham forced New Mexicans to stand in cold breadlines to buy food and basic goods, with elderly, disabled, and children forced to face the cold while the Governor feasted on taxpayer-funded $200/lb Wagyu steaks and skirted her pandemic orders to buy luxury jewelry.

New Mexicans are now continuing to face the consequences of Lujan Grisham’s harsh orders, many paying with the destruction of their livelihoods, including the 40% of small businesses gone forever.

With the Delta variant now appearing, Governor Lockdown Lujan-Grisham may decide to once again apply the screws. BTW, other than oil and gas production (NM number 2, but Biden's Interior Department wants to shut down) tourism is NM's second biggest income producer (apart from Uncle Sam's funding a basket-case state).

It was obvious by January 2020 that the communists were taking lessons from the Chinese who used covid as the excuse to get rid of the anti-communist protestors in Wuhan and Hong Kong. It then became obvious by March that the communists were further using covid to harm small businesses by shutting them down while allowing big businesses like Amazon and Wal-Fart to continue operations.

It’s funny they call it a dashboard. The dashboard is the part that of a car where your head gets dashed in a car wreck. But I guess it is easier than saying instrument panel.

It then became obvious by March that the communists were further using covid to harm small businesses by shutting them down while allowing big businesses like Amazon and Wal-Fart to continue operations.

Last fall, she restricted access to the big retail stores and supermarkets to 75 persons. The rest had to stand outside in the weather in the cold and on some days showers and drizzle. When pictures of those long "bread lines" were shown, she realized how much damage was being done to her image and relented (somewhat) by allowing 25 percent occupancy with masks, social distancing and one-way aisles.

All restrictions are supposed to be off starting Thursday, but I'll bet she'll reinstate some if the DV proliferates. It's the progressives and far left trust children in Santa Fe and the younger folks in ABQ who will push for lockdowns once again, as in Los Angeles. The rest of us working folks are just getting used to our freedom again and won't take kindly to her shutting down business again.

Correct! What I am amazed at is the detail with which our enemies have war-gamed this plandemic. Their game plan is being executed and it appears to be working flawlessly. Whoever our enemy is…they are brilliant!

1. Chinese lockdowns have given the Chicom Government cover to liquidate freedom loving protesters

2. American lockdowns have enabled our Communists to seize power from the people. We will not get it back. Guaranteed

3. Conservatives tend to be small business owners [same as the Kulaks]. These people have been decimated by never ending lockdowns while Global Corporations thrive. 4. Forced vaccines will reveal those loyal to Government, and those not.

5. Vaccines render everyone dependent on Government due to immunopathology

6. Vaccine induced ADE will no doubt be concealed by never ending “variants”.

7. The mockingbird media, big tech, deep state, and medical establishment will make this unquestionable, censoring all whistleblowers

8. Boosters will give the appearance of fighting variants, when the reality is that it masks, or even furthers ADE making people more dependent on Government

9. The elderly will be decimated. As Coronavirus rages among them, other age groups will adopt an “at all costs” approach to the incessant variants, blaming “non-vaxxed” for their ADE.
