The latest figures from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reveal more than 4,000 people who have been vaccinated against COVID-19 have died or been hospitalized from "breakthrough" infections. The exact number is 4,115 either hospitalized or dead despite being fully inoculated.

Beijing’s rush for antisatellite arms began 15 years ago. Now, it can threaten the orbital fleets that give the United States military its technological edge. Advanced weapons at China’s military bases can fire warheads that smash satellites and can shoot laser beams that have a potential to blind arrays of delicate sensors... In decades past, especially during the “Star Wars” program of the Reagan administration, conflict in space was often portrayed as shootouts in orbit. That has changed . With few exceptions, the weapons are no longer seen as circling the planet but as being deployed from secure bases. So,...

Vulnerable Democrats revolted against House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) holding a bipartisan infrastructure deal hostage to pass their more leftist infrastructure package. President Joe Biden softened his language about a threat to veto a bipartisan infrastructure proposal if Congress did not pass their far-left, reconciliation infrastructure bill. However, Pelosi has not reversed her threat to tank the proposal.

VIDEOThe left, as heralded by Jim Acosta, might have latched on to a new shtick to attack school board meetings by labeling them as "insurrection." That's right. Free speech, the right of assembly, and the freedom to petition the government as we have seen with parents speaking up for their children at school board meetings around the country is now going to be attacked by the left, as indicated by Jim Acosta, as "insurrection."

Astronomers have never directly seen the Oort Cloud and the most distant spacecraft ever launched by humankind – Voyager 1 – is not due to get there for another 300 years. But new research and upcoming space missions are now starting to reveal some of its secrets. The Oort Cloud was first predicted by Jan Oort in 1950 to explain the existence of comets like Neowise. Unlike short-period comets, which usually take less than 200 years to orbit the Sun and come from an icy disk beyond Neptune called the Kuiper Belt, the origin of those with much longer orbits...

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) Monday demanded assurances from House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) that the bipartisan infrastructure bill is not held “hostage” to reconciliation with “Green New Deal socialism.” “The President has appropriately delinked a potential bipartisan infrastructure bill from the massive unrelated tax-and-spend plans that Democrats want to pursue on a partisan basis,” McConnell explains in a press release. “Now I am calling on President Biden to engage Leader Schumer and Speaker Pelosi and make sure they follow his lead.”

ROME – This week marks the 70th anniversary of retired Pope Benedict XVI’s ordination as a priest – an anniversary his personal secretary says will be celebrated with things of personal significance: The liturgy, and former members of his late brother’s choir. Speaking to Rome Reports, German Archbishop Georg Gänswein, head of the Prefecture for the Papal Household and Benedict XVI’s personal secretary, said the choir was a surprise for Benedict. For Benedict XVI, “surprises are always related to the liturgy,” Gänswein said, noting that for the June 29 anniversary, “We’ve invited a group of former members of the choir...

Rosemont Seneca Technology Partners – an investment firm led by Hunter Biden – was a lead financial backer of Metabiota, a pandemic tracking and response firm that has partnered with Peter Daszak’s EcoHealth Alliance and the Wuhan Institute of Virology. Rosemont Seneca Technology Partners (RSTP) was an offshoot of Rosemont Capital, an investment fund founded by Biden and John Kerry’s stepson in 2009, that counted Biden as a Managing Director. Among the companies listed on archived versions of the firm’s portfolio is Metabiota, a San Francisco-based company that purports to detect, track, and analyze emerging infectious diseases, The National Pulse...

A common denominator in all conditions associated with COVID-19 appears...

The Parent Teacher Association of Virginia sent a letter of intent to abolish the parent group of the nation’s top high school after a slate of candidates opposed to critical race theory won an election earlier this month. The letter, sent to the Parent Teacher Student Association of Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology on Wednesday, claims that the recently elected candidates skirted bylaws and created a "hostile environment" for members. This is the latest fallout between pro- and anti-critical race theory factions at the elite high school, which made headlines last fall after district officials abolished its...

The campaign to scare the world into adopting unprecedented abridgments of civil liberties to fight a purported pandemic that threatened unthinkable levels of casualties had a lot of help from the officials charged with counting the death toll. Most readers of American Thinker are familiar with anecdotes such as the motorcyclist who died in a crash but was counted as a "COVID death" because he had a positive test for antibodies. An audit by two Minnesota state legislators late last year estimated that COVID deaths in that state were overcounted by about 40%. But, on the other hand, an audit...

For as long as I can remember, even when I was very small, I have always loved pickles. Quick pickles, lacto pickles, sour pickles, sweet pickles, fried pickles—all are good in my eyes (and mouth). I love drinking pickle brine. I also appreciate pickle innovation—grilled pickles are a recent discovery that morphed into an obsession, and I’ve never been afraid of trying “out there” pickle pairings and presentations. This is all to say that I was not alarmed, not even a little bit, when I saw the clever woman you see in the above video add a packet of ranch...

Officials will have to show which they value: the growing demand by families for education choice, or teachers' unions' persistent political clout.Teachers’ unions took it on the nose during the lockdowns. After they pushed to keep schools closed for months (and then folks like national teachers’ union president Randi Weingarten inexplicably blamed it on the “privilege” of Jewish Americans), unions are justly taking blame for school closures. Angry parents have taken to school board meetings and national news to openly criticize their school boards’ servility to the unions. But even after this public beating, unions still wield brazen political power in...

Last year I asked my family doctor what he could do should I contract the virus. He shared that there is no approved early treatment for COVID patients at his level other than to recommend self-quarantine and wait until symptoms either go away or become severe enough to require hospitalization. This same rule applies to frontline doctors nationwide. For many patients (especially for the elderly and those with a compromised immune system) this delay is often too late to prevent debilitating side effects or death. There was a recent surge in COVID-19 deaths in India, but at the time the...
