Proven technologies for a net-zero energy system already largely exist today, according to a report published Tuesday by the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA). The report predicts that renewable power, green hydrogen and modern bioenergy will shape the way we power the world in 2050. Adopting such solutions would set world leaders on track to meet their target of keeping the planet from heating by more than 1.5 degree Celsius above preindustrial levels this century, according to the World Energy Transitions Outlook report. The UN had warned in November that pledges to meet this goal were so far “woefully inadequate.”...

Dr. Anthony Fauci said Tuesday it’s possible that Americans may be able to gather in larger groups on the Fourth of July — if the nation doesn’t pull back on public safety measures. “You know, that’s entirely conceivable and possible,” Fauci said on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.” Fauci explained that while President Biden set a more “reasonable” Independence Day goal of small groups being able to gather, it doesn’t mean that larger celebrations are off the table. “What the president was saying is that we traditionally have, at the Fourth of July, the kind of barbecue in the backyard, the kind...

There is something odd about this video. Biden comes out of the White House alone. He walks up to the media but they are kept out of frame. At exactly the 1 min mark, look at the furry microphone on the left very carefully. You can see Bidens' hand is superimposed over the microphone. As he walks away, there's a quick cut keeping the media out of frame. Biden hits the road to push COVID relief package

ATLANTA—A Georgia man who professed a passion for guns and God was in custody on Tuesday night after a string of shootings that police said appeared to target Asian women at massage parlors and left eight people dead. Aaron Long, 21, of Woodstock, Georgia, was caught on video at the crime scenes and later nabbed on a highway two hours south of Atlanta following a police chase, authorities said. Police stressed that it was still much too early to announce a motive, but the horrific attacks come amid a wave of targeted violence against the Asian-American community. Details about the...

Sir Elton John has criticised the Vatican of "hypocrisy" after it said the Catholic Church cannot bless same-sex marriages. The Vatican’s orthodoxy office, the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, responded to a question about whether Catholic clergy can bless gay unions on Monday saying that God "cannot bless a sin". John, who married David Furnish in 2014, subsequently lambasting the response on social media as he said the Vatican had invested “millions” in his 2019 biopic Rocketman. “How can the Vatican refuse to bless gay marriages because they ‘are sin’, yet happily make a profit from investing millions...

As CCP virus variants grow in number, scientists are increasingly concerned about whether vaccines will remain effective despite the new strains. On March 12, southern China’s Guangdong Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention reported that the B.1.525 strain had been detected in two cases. This is the first time it has been discovered in the province. B.1.525 was first found in late December in Nigeria but since then the new variant of the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus has been found in 26 countries around the world, including the UK, Australia, Denmark, the United States, Canada, Italy, and most...

Joe Biden thinks you’re an absolute moron. That’s my takeaway from viewing the couple of clips released from the president’s upcoming interview with George Stephanopoulos. It’s being billed as Biden’s first big interview since taking office, and for once, he appears to have conducted it without Jill Biden there to interject and feed him answers. No doubt, ABC News will heavily edit it to make sure things appear fine, but no amount of editing can hide the idiocy you are about to witness.EXCLUSIVE: @GStephanopoulos presses Pres. Biden on the border crisis."Do you have to say quite clearly, 'Don't come'?Biden: "Yes,...

A district court in Japan has in a landmark decision ruled that the country's failure to recognise same-sex marriage is "unconstitutional". Japan's constitution defines marriage as one between "both sexes". But a Sapporo court ruled that this denied the couples constitutionally-guaranteed equality, in what is seen as a symbolic victory for LGBTQ activists. Japan is the only country in the G7 group of developed nations that does not allow same-sex marriage. The case was one of several brought to district courts in various parts of Japan by a group of same-sex couples who are seeking damages for mental suffering. The...

Fear of mutations that make their way around antibodies or vaccines is likely misplaced. As the SARS-CoV-2 epidemic continues across the globe, many genetic modifications have started to appear in the virus. These are being sequenced, analysed and monitored by many scientists. This well-known phenomenon occurs continuously for Influenza as well as for Coronaviruses. Health authorities and mainstream media have been very wary of supposed heightened risk profiles of these new variants. They are also adamant about a potential risk of evasion from immunity, whether that immunity was acquired via infection or vaccination. Some evolutionary virologists consider that viruses “attenuate” or...

WARSAW, POLAND — A Polish doctor participated in the trendy “vaccine on camera” phenomenon on or around January 29. He was dead a couple weeks later. Dr. Witold Rogiewicz did what many others are doing in the era of COVID-19. He rolled up his sleeve and proudly gloated about receiving the second dose of the experimental Pfizer mRNA shot on camera. He shared the video on social media. At least three million Polish citizens have received the Pfizer, Moderna or Oxford/Astra Zeneca shots as of March 3, according to Reuters. Dr. Rogiewicz not only got the jab on camera, but...

Master Plan: How China Aims to Crush the U.S. Air Force in a War The Chinese air force isn't here for friendly competition. They mean to destroy. by David Axe Follow @daxe on Twitter L Here's What You Need to Remember: In opting in wartime to confront the U.S. Air Force's fighter squadrons in direct fights with similar aircraft and training, the Chinese air force is betting that it can develop better fighters and pilots faster and in greater quantity than the Americans can do. A Georgia man is suspected of gunning down eight people in three mass shootings at massage parlors that are primarily staffed by Asian women in Atlanta and a nearby suburb on Tuesday evening, police said. The suspected gunman, Robert Aaron Long, 21, of Woodstock, GA, was captured Tuesday night about 150 miles south of Atlanta following a statewide police manhunt. Authorities believe Long opened fire on five people shortly before 5 p.m. in Young’s Asian Massage Parlor near Acworth in Georgia’s Cherokee County, officials said. Four of the victims of that shooting died, according to the local sheriff’s office. Less...

The Air Force Mongrels dropped their Pit Bull patch recently after they realized it too closely resembled a symbol associated with a white supremacist group in Pennsylvania with a couple of dozen members. Military.com reported: The civil engineer squadron at Osan has replaced its pit bull morale patch because it too closely resembled a symbol associated with a white supremacist group, according to a wing statement Tuesday Col. There is growing optimism and hope that by virtue of ongoing immunization efforts, seasonality (declining infections through August), and naturally acquired immunity, by spring and early summer 2021 in the US there will be a substantial decline in the number of deaths and hospitalizations related to COVID-19. However, this optimism must be tempered by several important factors. The likelihood of achieving herd immunity against SARS-CoV-2 is low simply because not all individuals in the US are eligible to be vaccinated and a quarter of eligible individuals will likely decline to be immunized. Moreover, the vaccines do not provide full immunity...

A Michigan judge has ruled that Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson (D) broke state law when she unilaterally issued rules related to absentee balloting, legitimizing a key claim made by the Trump campaign in its legal challenges to the 2020 election. The Secretary of State thus usurped the constitutional role delegated to the state legislatures. It was an argument that was consistently made by Donald Trump when he contested election in a number of states, including Michigan. Michigan Court of Claims Chief Judge Christopher Murray ruled that Benson violated the state’s Administrative Procedures Act in the case Genetski v. Benson.
