At its heart, 'Amend' amounts to a well-produced, well-acted, and well-expounded helping of propaganda for the ongoing war on language and history. The Netflix limited series documentary “Amend” reminds an already deeply divided America that words like “unity,” “progress,” “equity,” and even “love” are only valid so long as one side of the political aisle has the sole power to define them. Ideologically, Americans are speaking two entirely different languages, a reality “Amend” puts on full display. Netflix spared no expense in production, employing Will Smith as the narrator of the series, backed by a bevy of Hollywood hard-hitters including...

At a March 8 White House event to announce the nomination of two female generals to lead U.S. military combatant commands, President Joe Biden seemed to forget the name of Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin and where Austin works. Since the theme of the president's mental acuity is still associated with memes of former President Donald Trump, the media desperately wanted to forget this happened. It recalls an old moment the media loved to recount: when, in 1981, President Ronald Reagan greeted his secretary of housing and urban development, Samuel Pierce (a black man, like Austin) as "Mr. Mayor" at an...

Taxpayers will now foot the bill for gender reassignment surgery for active military personnel and veterans, with some treatments costing upward of $200,000 under an executive order signed by President Biden.

Born-again Christian and vindicated political mastermind Roger Stone is calling for Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) to run for president in 2024 if former president Donald Trump does decide to run once more for higher office. “As far as whether the president is going to run again, he seems to be teasing that he may, if he does he can count on me,” Stone explained to interviewer Steve Malzberg during an interview on Russia Today. “I will be there. But if he does not, four years is a very long time, even in American politics.” “If he elects not to run,...

This happened yesterday and is important information for our age group. A friend had his 2nd dose of the vaccine at the vaccination center after which he noticed blurred vision on the way home. When he got home, he called the vaccination center for advice and to ask if he should go see a doctor or be hospitalized. He was told NOT to go to a doctor or a hospital, but just return to the vaccination center immediately and pick up his glasses!

Passage of the $1.9 trillion spending bill has Democrats giddy. President Biden termed it “historic.” Senator Schumer calls it “a great day for this country.” Not to be outdone, Senator Debbie Stabenow gushed, “People on the floor, in our caucus, it was almost like tears in their eye. I mean, I felt it.” Here is what actually historic. According to the Congressional Budget Office, the Biden one-term deficit will total a forecasted $8 trillion, including the $1.9 trillion, spiraling to $11 trillion if Democrats follow through on next month’s planned $3 trillion bill for “infrastructure.” Republicans have widely noted the...

Gary Marbut is an underappreciated mover and shaker in the movement to restore the right to keep and bear arms in the United States, particularly in Montana. Gary was a primary force in the front lines and behind the scenes, working hard to reform legislation, write legislation, and to keep harmful legislation from being passed. It is doubtful anyone in Montana or in the nation, is more knowledgeable about the state of law, regarding arms, and the people’s right to arms, in Montana than Gary. I have admired Gary for many years. He founded the Montana Shooting Sports Association. His...

Sometimes, the greatest gifts arrive in the most innocuous packaging. Late into the night of March 3rd on a partisan vote of 220-210, the Democrats passed the Orwellian-designated “For the People Act” (or H.R. 1) -- with all Republicans voting “nay” save for two who did not vote and all Democrats voting “yea” save for one lone stray. That stray Democrat is none other than Representative Bennie Thompson for Mississippi’s 2nd congressional district -- not exactly a household name but a House lifer since 1993, nonetheless. Now, Bennie is no ordinary stray. Although not as visible nationally as other progressives,...

Robin DiAngelo, the white author of a bestselling "antiracism" book, balked at a request to accept a reduced speaking fee from a public university amid the coronavirus pandemic, insisting that her $12,750 rate was already a bargain. DiAngelo agreed in early 2020 to be the keynote speaker at the University of Wisconsin's annual Diversity Forum, which takes place in October. When the university alerted her in July that the event was transitioning to a virtual format due to the coronavirus pandemic and asked whether she would accept $10,000 for the gig, DiAngelo declined. "15k is already below her current rates...

Folks...it is becoming apparent that the Democrats are pursuing policies that are going to collapse our economy. They are also taking steps to make sure they never leave power. What is a person to do? We have the examples of Argentina and Venezuela clearly before us. Anyone have some helpful ideas? Ferfal of Argentina has a blog spot and wrote a book, but information from our situation here would be helpful.

On December 20, 2017, by Executive Order 13818, the President declared a national emergency with respect to serious human rights abuse and corruption around the world and, pursuant to the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (50 U.S.C. 1701 et seq.), took related steps to deal with the unusual and extraordinary threat to the national security, foreign policy, and economy of the United States. The prevalence and severity of human rights abuse and corruption that have their source, in whole or in substantial part, outside the United States, continue to pose an unusual and extraordinary threat to the national security, foreign...

If you’ve ever read Lord of the Flies, The Rise and the Fall of the Third Reich, or 1984, you understand the threat to life and limb from unrestrained power. Lord Acton distilled the danger down to a simple phrase: “Absolute power corrupts absolutely.” Our Founding Fathers knew that which is why they crafted for us the Constitution, the greatest document ever written by men. With H.R. 1, the Democrats will destroy our rights under that document. The Founders built into the Constitution a variety of checks and balances on government as a whole and its branch of government to...

Manhattan prosecutors are intensifying their investigation into Trump’s businesses, taking aim at a Westchester County, N.Y., estate that the former president unsuccessfully tried to develop, according to people familiar with the matter. Subpoenas center on Trump Organization’s failed efforts to develop the 213-acre property into a luxury subdivision In recent weeks, according to the people, the Manhattan district attorney’s office has issued new subpoenas and requested recordings of local government meetings related to the Trump Organization’s failed attempt to create a luxury subdivision at Seven Springs, a 213-acre property that the former president bought for $7.5 million in 1995. Mr....

Things are looking worse by the hour for New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo. Recently, a fourth, and then a fifth, woman came forward to accuse him of inappropriate behavior. At that point, Cuomo's support among top Democrats in New York began to crumble -- apparently, some were okay with three accusers, but not with four or five. First, the leader of the New York State Senate, Andrea Stewart-Cousins, demanded the governor's resignation. "We need to govern without daily distraction," Stewart-Cousins said. "Gov. Cuomo must resign." Then the leader of the State Assembly, Carl Heastie, suggested Cuomo should quit when he...

The vaccine rollout crawls forward. Most of us will spend weeks, or months, waiting. Great Britain did better. As of today, one-third of the English are already vaccinated, twice as many as in America. Why? A big reason is that our government decided to rigidly follow its regimen for the Moderna and Pfizer vaccines: two doses, about a month apart. But why insist on two doses? The Moderna and Pfizer vaccines are about 90% effective after one dose, according to clinical trial data. British officials sensibly decided to give people one dose, before insisting that everyone get a second dose....
