I have emailed NEWSMAX about the terrible closed captioning on their programs describing how President Reagan words to Gorbachev were rendered as: "Mr. Gorbachev, SHARE this wall." Yesterday, the ad urging people who had taken Zantac or the generic and developed cancer to call a number, the generic, ranitidine, was rendered as "RAN INTO DEAN." Just now Mike Huckabee was introduced as "MY CARD. MMM-HMM. Would appreciate it if others would complain about this gibberish. Otherwise I think NEWSMAX is terrific. But there are people out here that would like to watch it and are hearing impaired. So could use...

Ask any random group of ten elderly couples about their marriage, and half of them will probably say something like this: “We were high school sweethearts, tied the knot soon after graduation, worked our way up from nothing, had kids, and here we are. Being married made us who we are today.” Beneath these stories is a view of marriage as a foundation of life, a starting point for other goals. Today, this view has been replaced by a different one, what some call the “capstone” view of marriage. In the “capstone” view, marriage is a finishing touch to add...

Portland cops are already retiring in record numbers, but now cops are fleeing mid-career to go to places for lower pay and a fiscal hit to their retirement accounts. The Democrats’ embrace of the antifa and BLM defund-the-police stance is working—leaving Portlanders even more defenseless against rioters, looters, arsonists, squatters, and terrorists. In essence, the exodus is “a win by those that would want the police to be defunded,” according to the Portland Police Bureau’s human resources officer.Finding replacements may take some time because the diversity recruiting officer for Portland police is gone too.The Portland Tribune characterizes the exodus as...

Officials have no information about whether anyone was inside the RV when it exploded. Police also tweeted a photo of the RV as it was driven into the area at 1:22 a.m. Friday. As the investigation continues, officials will meticulously search the area for any trace of physical evidence, according to Andrew McCabe, a CNN law enforcement analyst and former FBI deputy director. Essential pieces of evidence, however, could be scattered across a large scene, given the size of the blast.
