Yes, we hate vanities here (my apologies Mr. Robinson). But I know there are a lot of Van Halen fans that reside in the free republic. Eddie's son Wolf just dropped a new song and video as a tribute to his dad. Wow. I did not expect to tear up at the end. A great song. The kid has talent. A welcome respite from all the current craziness in the world.

"By faith even Sarah herself received ability to conceive, even beyond the proper time of life, since she considered Him faithful who had promised; therefore, also, there was born of one man, and him as good as dead at that, as many descendants as the stars of heaven in number, and innumerable as the sand which is by the seashore" (Heb. 11:11-12). Your faith in Christ will influence future generations. I've been blessed with a wonderful Christian heritage. In fact, I'm the fifth generation of preachers in our family. The faith of my predecessors has had an enormous impact on...

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — Two veteran state senators from the Iron Range broke with other Democrats on Wednesday to form their own independent caucus in a closely divided legislative chamber. Sens. Tom Bakk, of Cook, and David Tomassoni, of Chisholm, said in a statement that they’ve left the Senate Democratic Caucus to start a caucus for moderates that will also focus on the economic interests of northern Minnesota. They expect to become committee chairs. Minnesota Public Radio reported that the split will give Republicans a bit more breathing room heading into a 2021 session where they were facing a...

NOVEMBER 15, 2020 FROM THE PASTOR Several of our Lord’s parables have to do with productivity in one form or another: The Sower, The Mustard Seed, The Tares, and then there is today’s, which is specifically about money (Matthew 25:14-30). In Greek currency, a talanton, as a measure of silver, was the equivalent of 6,000 Roman denarii. Establishing modern equivalences of money is notoriously difficult, but since a single denarius was worth a day’s wages, the value of a talent was great. This parable is about more than wealth management. In English, the word “talent” is an insightful pun, because...

NEW YORK — A rapper who shot off a flamethrower while standing on an occupied New York City bus surrendered to police on Wednesday. Authorities said Dupree G.O.D was arrested on charges of reckless endangerment and criminal possession of a weapon. There was no information on when he would be arraigned. He was in police custody Wednesday night. The musical artist was filmed earlier this month in an unauthorized stunt that he said was part of a tribute video for the hip-hop group Wu-Tang Clan. The clip gained attention on social media after a police union tweeted it as an...

Witnesses of the recount of the presidential election in Georgia have signed sworn statements testifying to having observed ballots cast for President Donald Trump being counted as though they were cast for former Vice President Joe Biden. Trump campaign attorney Lin Wood filed the affidavits with a federal court in Georgia on Nov. 17 as part of an emergency motion seeking to block the certification of the election results in the Peach State. Nine of the affiants swore to have seen suspiciously pristine, uncreased mail ballots, uniformly and perfectly filled out, almost always for Biden. In one case, a batch...

Denver Newsroom, Nov 18, 2020 / 03:40 pm MT (CNA).- Two church buildings— one Baptist, one Catholic— were damaged by fires in apparent arson attacks Sunday morning in Brewster, a town in central Washington. Sacred Heart Catholic Church suffered some fire damage near the sanctuary from an incendiary device dropped through a broken window early Nov. 15. New Testament Baptist Church, located a block away, suffered more serious fire damage to its interior the same morning. Investigators have deemed the fire at Sacred Heart to be intentional, police say. The police have not yet made the same pronouncement about the...

Top pathologist Dr. Roger Hodkinson told government officials in Alberta during a zoom conference call that the current coronavirus crisis is “the greatest hoax ever perpetrated on an unsuspecting public.”Hodkinson’s comments were made during a discussion involving the Community and Public Services Committee and the clip was subsequently uploaded to YouTube.Noting that he was also an expert in virology, Hodkinson pointed out that his role as CEO of a biotech company that manufactures COVID tests means, “I might know a little bit about all this.”“There is utterly unfounded public hysteria driven by the media and politicians, it’s outrageous, this is...

Perhaps this is why the WI Election Commission is in full freak out mode and frantic to rewrite laws about counting ballots? It would really suck for them if they couldn’t produce the 130k ballots dropped at 4am on Nov 4th per the (current) law, wouldn’t it? The Kraken has been released. My assumption is identical data exists in the other states in question. The steal is oh so real!

I have not mentioned Contingent Elections, since most scenarios I can think of entail one candidate or the other reaching 270 EVs; and/or since if any state’s EVs are not submitted by the December 14th deadline, such EVs would most likely be removed from the numerator and denominator of the Electoral College equation. As a result, a candidate would need to obtain a simple majority of all remaining EVs to win.

...The counties have until 11:59 p.m. Wednesday to complete the hand count. The secretary of state’s office originally said the results of the hand tally would be certified. But Sterling said Tuesday that the state would instead certify the results certified by the counties. Once the results are certified, if the margin between the candidates remains within 0.5%, the losing campaign can request a recount. That would be done using scanners that read and tally the votes and would be paid for by the state, Raffensperger has said.

Hodkinson remarked that “social distancing is useless because COVID is spread by aerosols which travel 30 meters or so before landing,” as he called for society to be re-opened immediately to prevent the debilitating damage being caused by lockdowns. Hodkinson also slammed mandatory mask mandates as completely pointless. “Masks are utterly useless. There is no evidence base for their effectiveness whatsoever,” he said. “Paper masks and fabric masks are simply virtue signalling. They’re not even worn effectively most of the time. It’s utterly ridiculous. Seeing these unfortunate, uneducated people – I’m not saying that in a pejorative sense – seeing...
