Jacksonville, led by its Republican Mayor Lenny Curry, was the first to allow people back onto the beaches. On Thursday, Curry announced the city’s beaches would reopen for “essential activities” from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m. each morning and from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. each evening. RCMP have released a photo of a man considered to be the suspect in an active shooter situation in Portapique, Nova Scotia. Police say Gabriel Wortman, 51, is considered armed and dangerous. He is described as a white man, bald, between 6’2” and 6’3” with green eyes. RCMP say Wortman may be driving what appears to be an RCMP vehicle and appear to be wearing an RCMP uniform.
