... Granting grocery store workers a temporary designation of first responder or emergency personnel would "ensure these frontline workers have priority access to personal protection equipment like masks and gloves," the statement reads. The groups say this is not just about employees – it's about protecting the customers they serve and our nation's food supply in general. First responders like health care workers are lacking the necessary PPE, so government officials have been working to ensure the equipment gets to those who need it the most and that supplies on conserved. ...

The report, signed by Vice President Joe Biden who oversees how stimulus money is spent, stressed the depth of the crisis confronting Obama when he took office 13 months ago, as the President constantly reminds Americans in his speeches. But it also highlighted Obama’s challenge of trying to cut a 9.7 percent jobless rate that has fueled voter discontent. The report said the package of stimulus spending and tax cuts “clearly halted an economic freefall.” Obama will get the document at his economic intelligence briefing on Wednesday and he will speak about the economy to mark the anniversary of his...

We've seen so many great videos over the past month or so, but we dare say... this may be the best. You remember New York's famous "Pizza Rat"? Well, move over... it's time to meet the "Pizza Groundhog!" He's just munching away completely unfazed by Action News in Philadelphia viewer Kristin Chalela Bagnell or her two dogs. Kristin captured the little, or not so little guy, outside her home in Philadelphia's Brewerytown section. Kristin tells our sister station Action News the groundhog sat there for more than an hour, just casually munching away on that piece of pizza with no...

EXCLUSIVE: COVID-19 originated in a Wuhan laboratory not as a bioweapon, but as part of China's effort to demonstrate that its efforts to identify and combat viruses are equal to or greater than the capabilities of the United States, multiple sources who have been briefed on the details of early actions by China's government and seen relevant materials tell Fox News. This may be the "costliest government coverup of all time," one of the sources said. The sources believe the initial transmission of the virus was bat-to-human, and that "patient zero" worked at the laboratory, then went into the population...

The Following Data/Statistics came from the CDC and Johns Hopkins websites: Corona-USA: 601k confirmed cases, 183 people/100k people has a confirmed case, 21 hospitalization/100k people, and 8 deaths/100k people. 2018 Flu: 48.8M cases, 14,869 people/100k had it, 150 hospitalizations/100k people, and 24 deaths/100k people. If you assume the latest projections of +/-60,000 deaths, many of which may have very well died of a non-Corona Virus strand of the Flu, that still puts the US on par with a standard flu season. Mitigation has lowered the numbers on Corona some, but it hasn't by that much. Where was the panic over...

The first of these programs is the ever-chaotic Paycheck Protection Program, the $349 billion rescue effort that has commanded most of the public’s attention on this front. It provides businesses with low-interest loans to cover payroll and some other expenses like rent and utilities, which the government will forgive as long as the borrower doesn’t lay off its workers.

Video at link. My notes follow. A chart of the CFR on the US. Now at 4.24%. Thought that ramping testing would have driven percentage down. Damage more widespread than thought. Destroys lungs, but damages kidneys, hearts and elsewhere. Heart inflamation, acute kidney disease, neurological malfunction, blood clots, intestinal damage, and liver problems. Half of people hospitalized have blood or protein in the urine, indicating early damage to the kidneys. 14-30% of intensive care patients in NY and Wuhan have lost kidney function and require dialysis. Losing sense of smell and taste is often an early indicator that you have...

President Trump threatened on Wednesday to take the unprecedented step of adjourning Congress with his executive powers so he can make recess appointments of stalled nominees. Speaking at the daily White House coronavirus task force briefing, Mr. Trump said his administration has been hamstrung by a lack of personnel because Senate Democrats have held up nominees. He criticized the Senate and House for holding “phony” pro forma sessions, instead of adjourning, which prevents him from making recess appointments.

I went in search of outsiders who were thriving in communities where acceptance is hard to come by. It turns out, we might all learn from their approach to life.About a week into working from home because of the coronavirus, I found myself surprised by how much I was enjoying quarantine. I woke up on the first weekend to a day full of reading, Netflix, and most refreshingly, not having to interact with a soul. The high point of the day was when my boyfriend went for a bike ride, so I could sink even more fully into my aloneness....

Meet Pizza Rat’s way cuter cousin. An adorable buck-toothed groundhog was captured on camera casually munching on a slice while peeking into a Philadelphia woman’s home through a sliding glass door. The ravenous rodent is shown chomping on the stolen snack next to a backyard barbecue as he gazes into Kristin Chalela Bagnell’s house in footage she posted on Facebook. “It’s not just the people that like Philly pizza,” Bagnell quipped in the caption of the video.

President Trump on Wednesday questioned Mayor Bill de Blasio’s revised coronavirus death toll — a day after New York City revised how it tracks fatalities by adding more than 3,700 victims who died of apparent coronavirus symptoms and were never tested. “I see this morning where New York added 3,000 [sic] deaths because they died. Rather than [a] heart attack, they say heart attack caused by this,” he said during the daily briefing of the Coronavirus Task Force, referring to COVID-19. Responding to a question about the staggering US death toll, which topped 27,000 Wednesday, the president suggested that the...

China might be secretly conducting nuclear tests with very low explosive power despite Beijing’s assertions that it is strictly adhering to an international accord banning all nuclear tests, according to a new arms-control report to be made public by the State Department. The coming report doesn’t present proof that China is violating its promise to uphold the agreement, but it cites an array of activities that “raise concerns†that Beijing might not be complying with the “zero-yield†nuclear-weapons testing ban.The concerns stem from the high tempo of activity at China’s Lop Nur test site, extensive excavations at the site, and Beijing’s...

Hello FR, Some of you may know through my posts of our total loss of our Spring Fair season. It is looking like our Summer season will now be a bust. Now instead of crying about it, while mowing down one of our pastures, (because our tractor broke and we can't afford for Randy to come and take care of the fields), I had an idea. The idea would incorporate multi-media to create a virtual store at the Fair. Now I have no money, but I do have an existing website that still needs to be brought up to snuff....
