Believing that cow urine can ward off coronavirus, a Hindu group in India reportedly hosted a cow urine drinking party Saturday to test their belief. The cow is sacred to many Hindus and some drink cow urine believing it has medicinal purposes. But experts have repeatedly asserted that cow urine does not cure illnesses like cancer and there is no evidence that it can prevent coronavirus, according to Reuters.

CRIPPLE — As the world grapples with whatever new reality the coronavirus is bringing, a few dozen people racing through Alaska’s Interior find themselves insulated from the chaos. They’re the mushers competing in the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race. As they mushed along, watching for moose and changing out dog booties, professional sports leagues suspended seasons, gatherings of even a few hundred people were banned in some of the country’s most populated cities. The stock market took a historic dive. Yet, on the Iditarod Trail, you’d have no idea. In Takotna on Wednesday night, people weren’t huddled around a TV...

Much has been said by other conservative bloggers about the recent 1619 Project's correction, but missing from all of those articles is any mention the weakness left behind. A few days ago, this was posted online. Everybody focused on the two word change at the core of the correction. That's important, but that's not as important as this: Versions of this interpretation can be found in much of the scholarship into the origins and character of the Revolution that has marked the past 40 years or so of early American historiography — in part because historians of the past few...

Hard-core socialists aren't letting a national emergency go to waste. They want to exploit it to realize their ultimate dream: government ownership of the means of production--the very definition of socialism. On Joy Reid's MSNBC show this morning, Bill de Blasio, the extreme-left mayor of New York City, actually proposed the: "nationalization, literally a nationalization, of crucial factories and industries that can produce the medical supplies that can prepare this country for what we need." Get the rest of the story and view the video here.

April 30, 2009— -- Democrats hustled to temper Vice President Joe Biden's comments today that he would advise his family to avoid flying or being in confined spaces because of concerns about swine flu, a comment that drew criticism from the travel industry. At a news conference Wednesday evening, President Obama said Americans who may be sick should avoid airplanes and "any system of public transportation where you're confined," but the vice president today took it one step further. "I would tell members of my family -- and I have -- I wouldn't go anywhere in confined places now. It's...

NIKOLAI — Most mushers plan for a year, at least, to run the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race. John Schandelmeier had an hour. Schandelmeier said Wednesday morning in the frigid cold at the Nikolai checkpoint that he no longer has the burning desire to race sled dogs. To him, there would be no difference in finishing or winning the Red Lantern, the prize for the last musher to cross the finish line in Nome. Schandelmeier was a last-minute substitute for his wife, Zoya DeNure, who withdrew from the race just before the restart in Willow because of a heart condition....

Just as people were trying to wrap their heads around the idea of a very quiet month of March, San Francisco has now issued a public health order banning gatherings of 100 or more people through April. That order, which is effect until April 30, will presumably shut down most theaters, concerts, sporting events and other entertainment/community gathering spots in the city. The announcement was made by Mayor London N. Breed on Friday, March 13, and dubbed a necessary move to slow down the spread of the coronavirus in the city and county of San Francisco.

UNALAKLEET — The Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race is continuing as of Friday night despite growing concerns about the potential spread of the novel coronavirus. Events surrounding the finish in Nome have been canceled, and the race is taking additional steps to protect racers and communities along the trail as mushers progress through the second half of the race. “We have been taking the normal precautions that everyone should be taking,” race marshal Mark Nordman said Friday at the Unalakleet airport. Nordman said the race has been in communication with Dr. Anne Zink, the state’s chief medical officer. The first...

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (Nexstar Media Wire) – A Virginia poison control center is reminding residents that they should never drink bleach – and that doing so will certainly not prevent coronavirus. The Blue Ridge Poison Center said in a letter obtained by WCAV, “There is a lot of confusing, incomplete, and just plain inaccurate information circulating about how to prevent the COVID-19 virus (“coronavirus”) from spreading. Some advice measures simply won’t help, and some could be downright dangerous. The Blue Ridge Poison Center at UVA Health warns that drinking bleach will not prevent COVID-19 infections and could cause serious injury.” While...

On March 9, 2020, the Idaho Senate State Affairs Committee approved House Bill H440, a measure outlawing race-based affirmative action in state agencies, state contracting, and public education. The bill is currently on Idaho’s full senate floor for amendments. Once amended and signed by Governor Brad Little into law, H440 will make the Gem State the ninth to adopt a statewide ban on affirmative action. The other eight states are: California, Washington, Florida, Michigan, Nebraska, Arizona, New Hampshire, and Oklahoma. In most cases, measures to ban racial discrimination and preferential treatment were passed by popular votes on the ballot. At...

And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 2 Peter 1:5-8 KJV Why are people hoarding toilet paper and not cough drops? Why are they not going after the flu medicine and Excedrin rather than TP and cleaners? Losing March Madness was the...

French Prime Minister Edouard Philippe announced that France is shutting down all restaurants, cafes, cinemas and non-essential retail shops, starting Sunday, to combat the accelerated spread of the virus in the country. He said grocery stores, pharmacies, banks and other public services including transport will be allowed to remain open. French authorities had already shut down all schools, banned gatherings of more than 100 people and advised people to limit their social life. Philippe said these measures were “not well implemented.” “We must show all together more discipline,” he added. Philippe confirmed that nation-wide municipal elections will go ahead as...

MADRID - The Chinese soccer team that was originally stuck in Spain because of the coronavirus outbreak is going back home to try to avoid its rapid spread in Europe. Wuhan Zall was expected to return to China on Saturday, nearly 1 1/2 months after it arrived in Spain for preseason training. The team had not been able to leave because of the restrictions in China, but expedited its departure because of the worsening situation in Spain. The team initially planned to leave Spain mid-February but had extended its stay in the southern region of the country until at least...

The White House has announced that President Donald Trump has been tested for the Wuhan coronavirus, despite having no symptoms, out of an excess of caution because he had exposure to at least two people who have been diagnosed with the virus. One of those people was the Brazilian president’s press secretary who tested positive in the days after he met Trump and the other was Nestor Forster, Brazil’s chargé d’affaires in Washington. But neither had symptoms when they met with Trump. So it’s not clear if they had it when they met with the president and it’s less likely...

Rep. Ilhan Omar’s marriage to a political consultant has drawn renewed focus on her campaign’s payments to her now-husband and his firm, which are at the center of a pending complaint with the Federal Election Commission. Omar (D-Minn.) on Wednesday announced on Instagram that she had married Timothy Mynett, and the couple filed their marriage license in Washington that same day. Following Omar’s marriage announcement, conservative critics raised concerns about payments by her campaign to E Street Group, which is run by Mynett. “Taxpayers funded her campaign. Now they’re funding her marriage. How is this not an FEC violation?” conservative...

For years, there has been a lack of awareness of the true horrors within the sex industry. For the first time in a long time, people are beginning to see that everything isn’t exactly as it seems. One of those realizations is that pornography performers aren’t always participating by choice. Rather, some are forced, coerced, manipulated, and even unwillingly thrown into this dark industry. This truth is often hard to combat in our current cultural climate. Many actors, singers, and Hollywood elitists glamorize sex work, making it appear to be a “well-paying job.” In reality, it is a devastating lifestyle...
