French Prime Minister Edouard Philippe announced that France is shutting down all restaurants, cafes, cinemas and non-essential retail shops, starting Sunday, to combat the accelerated spread of the virus in the country.
He said grocery stores, pharmacies, banks and other public services including transport will be allowed to remain open.
French authorities had already shut down all schools, banned gatherings of more than 100 people and advised people to limit their social life. Philippe said these measures were “not well implemented.”
“We must show all together more discipline,” he added.
Philippe confirmed that nation-wide municipal elections will go ahead as planned on Sunday but with special measures to keep people at a safe distance and clean shared material.
Health authorities said more than 4,500 cases have been confirmed in France on Saturday, including 91 deaths.

Fortunately this is only problem for Asians and those who speak Romance languages.
My dad stormed the beach on D-Day and he hated the French with a passion till his dying day.
He called them ungrateful cowardly surrender monkeys.
They would do better to wash their hands
So we’ve now concluded that a theorized death rate of 3% is enough to destroy civilization over and enforce socialist law.
How long before we start destroying liberty and increasing government control because the death rate is 2%?

It’s the flu season and the factories will be shut down for the next month comrade - toilet paper supplies and rations will be increased however.
This is a manufactured crisis to train the people into government control and not think for themselves.
Liberals are calling for the nationalization of many industries to combat this virus. Never let a national emergency go to waste! Socialism, here it comes (sadly).
